ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਧੰਨ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ। ਨਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਝੂਠੀ ਮੱਮਤਾ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ।
This emotional attachment to Maya shall not go with you; it is false to fall in love with it.

ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਰਾਤ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The entire night of your life has passed away in darkness; but by serving the True Guru, the Divine Light shall dawn within.

ਸਿਰਜਨ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਵਿਪਾਰੀ ਦੋਸਤ ਜੀਵ ਮਰਨ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਖੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Receiving the summons from the Lord of the Universe, O my merchant friend, you must arise and depart with the actions you have committed.

ਦੋਸਤ ਜੀਵ ਜਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੋਰਾ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜੱਕੜ ਲਿਆਂ।
You are not allowed a moment's delay, O my merchant friend; the Messenger of Death seizes you with firm hands.

ਲਿਖਿਆ ਆਇਆ ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਹੇਲੇ ॥

आइआ पकड़ि चलाइआ मनमुख सदा दुहेले ॥

ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਬੁਲਾਵਾ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਉਣਾਂ ਹੈ। ਜਮ ਨੇ ਖਿੱਚ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਣਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਟੱਕਰਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Receiving the summons, people are seized and dispatched. The self-willed manmukhs are miserable forever.

पूरा सतिगुरु सेविआ से दरगह सदा सुहेले ॥

ਜਿਸ

ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
But those who serve the Perfect True Guru are forever happy in the Court of the Lord.

ਕਰਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜੋ ਬੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਖਾਤਿ ॥

धरती सरीरु जुग अंतरि जो बोवै सो खाति ॥

ਮਾੜੇ

ਚੰਗ੍ਹੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹੀ ਵੱਡਣੇ ਪੈਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਫਲ਼ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
The body is the field of karma in this age; whatever you plant, you shall harvest.

ਜੀਵ ਇਸੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਪੇਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਅਨਜਾਣ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਰਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
How can the ignorant soul-bride obtain the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, while she is in this world of her father's home?

हरि अपनी किरपा करे गुरमुखि साहुरड़ै कम सिखै ॥

ਹਰਿ ਆਪ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੇ ਗੁਣ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਦੇ ਹਨ।
When the Lord Himself grants His Grace, the Gurmukh learns the duties of her Husband's Celestial Home.

कम सिखै गुरमुखि हरि हरि सदा धिआए ॥

ਬਣ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਲਈ ਚੰਗ੍ਹੇ ਗੁਣ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh learns the duties of her Husband's Celestial Home; she meditates forever on the Lord, Har, Har.

विचि फिरै सुहेली हरि दरगह बाह लुडाए ॥

ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਲਈ ਚੰਗ੍ਹੇ ਗੁਣ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
She walks happily among her companions, and in the Lord's Court, she swings her arms joyfully.

ਲੇਖਾ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਿਰਖੈ ॥

Laekhaa Dhharam Raae Kee Baakee Jap Har Har Naam Kirakhai ||

लेखा

धरम राइ की बाकी जपि हरि हरि नामु किरखै ॥

ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਕਰਮਾ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Her account is cleared by the Righteous Judge of Dharma, when she chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਦਾ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
My marriage has been performed, O my father. As Gurmukh, I have found the Lord.

ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਕਟਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ ॥

अंधेरा कटिआ गुर गिआनु प्रचंडु बलाइआ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ

ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਖੱਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਬੱਧੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The darkness of ignorance has been dispelled. The Guru has revealed the blazing light of spiritual wisdom.

ਬਲਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਬਿਨਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਲਾਧਾ ॥

Baliaa Gur Giaan Andhhaeraa Binasiaa Har Rathan Padhaarathh Laadhhaa ||

बलिआ

गुर गिआनु अंधेरा बिनसिआ हरि रतनु पदारथु लाधा ॥

ਗੁਰੂ

ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਧੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
This spiritual wisdom given by the Guru shines forth, and the darkness has been dispelled. I have found the Priceless Jewel of the Lord.

हउमै

रोगु गइआ दुखु लाथा आपु आपै गुरमति खाधा ॥

ਹੰਕਾਂਰ

ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਤਾਪ ਉਤਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਨਾਲ ਆਪੇ ਖੱਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਬਨਾਸੀ ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇਆ ॥
The sickness of my ego has been dispelled, and my pain is over and done. Through the Guru's Teachings, my identity has consumed my identical identity.

ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇਆ ॥

अकाल

मूरति वरु पाइआ अबिनासी ना कदे मरै न जाइआ ॥

ਮਾਹਾਪੁਰਖ

ਮਨਮੋਹਣਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਅਮਰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮਰਨ ਜੰਮਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ।
I have obtained my Husband Lord, the Akaal Moorat, the Undying Form. He is Imperishable; He shall never die, and He shall never ever leave.

ਵੀਆਹੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬੋਲਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

वीआहु

होआ मेरे बाबोला गुरमुखे हरि पाइआ ॥२॥

ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆ ਦਾ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

Har Sath Sathae Maerae Baabulaa Har Jan Mil Jannj Suhandhee ||

हरि

सति सते मेरे बाबुला हरि जन मिलि जंञ सुहंदी ॥

ਮੇਰਾ

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਬਾਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord is the Truest of the True, O my father. Meeting with the humble servants of the Lord, the marriage procession looks beautiful.

हरि जपि सुहेली विचि साहुरड़ै खरी सोहंदी ॥

ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਦੋਸਤ ਬੱਣ, ਅੱਗੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
She who chants the Lord's Name is happy in this world of her father's home, and in the next world of her Husband Lord, she shall be very beautiful.

विचि खरी सोहंदी जिनि पेवकड़ै नामु समालिआ ॥

ਅੱਗੇ

ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪਦਾ ਹੈ।
In her Husband Lord's Celestial Home, she shall be most beautiful, if she has remembered the Naam in this world.

सफलिओ जनमु तिना दा गुरमुखि जिना मनु जिणि पासा ढालिआ ॥

ਜੀਵਾ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਉਂਣਾ ਭਲਾ ਫ਼ੈਇਦੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬੱਣਾ ਲਿਆਂ ਹੈ।
Fruitful are the lives of those who, as Gurmukh, have conquered their minds-they have won the game of life.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸੋਹਿਆ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਨੰਦੀ ॥

संत जना मिलि कारजु सोहिआ वरु पाइआ पुरखु अनंदी ॥

ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਵੱਧਣ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਵੀ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬੱਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ।
Joining with the humble Saints of the Lord, my actions bring prosperity, and I have obtained the Lord of Bliss as my Husband.

सति सति मेरे बाबोला हरि जन मिलि जंञ सोहंदी ॥३॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੁਭੂ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਬਾਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹਰਿ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈ ਸਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇ।
