13643 ਤੀਨਿ ਬਿਆਪਹਿ ਜਗਤ ਕਉ ਤੁਰੀਆ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Theen Biaapehi Jagath Ko Thureeaa Paavai Koe ||
तीनि बिआपहि जगत कउ तुरीआ पावै कोइ ॥
ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਧੰਨ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਰਜੋ, ਤਪੋ, ਸਤੋ ਅਸਰ ਕਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਚੌਥੀ ਅਵਸਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The world is in the grip of the three qualities; only a few attain the fourth state of absorption.
13644 ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਭਏ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥

Thritheeaa Thrai Gun Bikhai Fal Kab Outham Kab Neech ||
त्रितीआ त्रै गुण बिखै फल कब उतम कब नीचु ॥
ਪੂਰੇ ਚੰਦ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜੇਫ਼ਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The third day of the lunar cycle: Those who are bound by the three qualities gather poison as their fruit; now they are good, and now they are bad.
13647 ਨਰਕ ਸੁਰਗ ਭ੍ਰਮਤਉ ਘਣੋ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ਮੀਚੁ ॥
Narak Surag Bhramatho Ghano Sadhaa Sanghaarai Meech ||
नरक सुरग भ्रमतउ घणो सदा संघारै मीचु ॥
ਜੀਵਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣਾਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They wander endlessly in heaven and hell, until death annihilates them.
13648 ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਸਹਸਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥
Harakh Sog Sehasaa Sansaar Ho Ho Karath Bihaae ||
हरख सोग सहसा संसारु हउ हउ करत बिहाइ ॥
ਗੁੱਸੇ, ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਡਰ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ, ਮੈਂ-ਮੈ ਕਰਦੀ ਭੱਟਕਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ॥
In pleasure and pain and worldly cynicism, they pass their lives acting in ego.
13649 ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਚਿਤਵਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਇ ॥
Jin Keeeae Thisehi N Jaananee Chithavehi Anik Oupaae ||
ਜਿਸ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਂਣਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਬਥੇਰੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਸਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
जिनि कीए तिसहि न जाणनी चितवहि अनिक उपाइ ॥
They do not know the One who created them; they think up all sorts of schemes and plans.
13650 ਆਧਿ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਰਸ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਤੂਟੈ ਤਾਪ ॥
Aadhh Biaadhh Oupaadhh Ras Kabahu N Thoottai Thaap ||
आधि बिआधि उपाधि रस कबहु न तूटै ताप ॥
ਮਨ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ, ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ॥
Their minds and bodies are distracted by pleasure and pain, and their fever never departs.
13651 ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਧਨੀ ਨਹ ਬੂਝੈ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥

पारब्रहम पूरन धनी नह बूझै परताप ॥
ਗੁਣੀ ਤੇ ਗੁਆਨੀ ਰੱਬ ਕੋਲ, ਹਰ ਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ॥
They do not realize the glorious radiance of the Supreme Lord God, the Perfect Lord and Master.
13652 ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ਬੂਡਤ ਘਣੋ ਮਹਾ ਨਰਕ ਮਹਿ ਵਾਸ ॥
Moh Bharam Booddath Ghano Mehaa Narak Mehi Vaas ||
मोह भरम बूडत घणो महा नरक महि वास ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਖ ਭੋਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
So many are being drowned in emotional attachment and doubt; they dwell in the most horrible hell.
13653 ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਸ ॥੩॥
Kar Kirapaa Prabh Raakh Laehu Naanak Thaeree Aas ||3||
करि किरपा प्रभ राखि लेहु नानक तेरी आस ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਜ਼ਕੀਨ ਬੱਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ||3||

13655 ਚਤੁਰ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੋਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਤਜਿਆ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥
Chathur Siaanaa Sugharr Soe Jin Thajiaa Abhimaan ||
चतुर सिआणा सुघड़ु सोइ जिनि तजिआ अभिमानु ॥
ਚਲਾਕ, ਅੱਕਲ, ਚੱਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਮੈਂ-ਮੈਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ॥
One who renounces egotistical pride is intelligent, wise and refined.
13656 ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਸਟ ਸਿਧਿ ਭਜੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੪॥

चारि पदारथ असट सिधि भजु नानक हरि नामु ॥४॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਕਾਂਮ, ਮੋਖ, ਅਰਥ, ਧਰਮ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋਗੀਆ ਦੇ ਅੱਠੇ ਅਣਿਮਾ, ਮਹਿਮਾ, ਲਘਿਮਾ, ਗਰਿਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ, ਪ੍ਰਾਕਾਮ੍ਯ, ਈਸ਼ਿਤਾ, ਵਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ, ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਹਨ ||4||
The four cardinal blessings, and the eight spiritual powers of the Siddhas are obtained, Sathigur Nanak, by meditating, vibrating on the Lord's Name. ||4||

चतुरथि चारे बेद सुणि सोधिओ ततु बीचारु ॥
ਪੂਰੇ ਚੰਦ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਚੌਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ, ਚਾਰੇ ਬੇਦ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਨਵੀਂ ਗੱਲ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ॥
The fourth day of the lunar cycle: Listening to the four Vedas, and contemplating the essence of reality, I have come to realize

सरब खेम कलिआण निधि राम नामु जपि सारु ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦਾ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੋ ਸਬ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਮ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ॥
That the treasure of all joy and comfort is found in sublime meditation on the Lord's Name.
13660 ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੈ ਤੂਟਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਕਲੇਸ ॥
Narak Nivaarai Dhukh Harai Thoottehi Anik Kalaes ||
नरक निवारै दुख हरै तूटहि अनिक कलेस ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ, ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ, ਦੁੱਖ, ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੇਅੰਤ ਝਗੜੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
One is saved from hell, suffering is destroyed, countless pains depart,
13661 ਮੀਚੁ ਹੁਟੈ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਪਰਵੇਸ ॥
Meech Huttai Jam Thae Shhuttai Har Keerathan Paravaes ||
मीचु हुटै जम ते छुटै हरि कीरतन परवेस ॥
ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੰਮਦੂਤ ਨੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ। ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਈਏ।
Death is overcome, and one escapes the Messenger of Death, by absorption in the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises.
13662 ਭਉ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਸੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥
Bho Binasai Anmrith Rasai Rang Rathae Nirankaar ||
भउ बिनसै अम्रितु रसै रंगि रते निरंकार ॥
ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਅਸਰ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਲਿਵ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Fear departs, and one savors the Ambrosial Nectar, imbued with the Love of the Formless Lord.
13663 ਦੁਖ ਦਾਰਿਦ ਅਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰ ॥
Dhukh Dhaaridh Apavithrathaa Naasehi Naam Adhhaar ||
दुख दारिद अपवित्रता नासहि नाम अधार ॥
ਰੋਗ, ਪੀੜਾਂ, ਗਰੀਬੀ, ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Pain, poverty and impurity are removed, with the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
13664 ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਖੋਜਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

सुरि नर मुनि जन खोजते सुख सागर गोपाल ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੀ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ, ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵੀ ਅੰਨਦ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The angels, the seers and the silent sages search for the Ocean of peace, the Sustainer of the world.
13665 ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਊਜਲਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲ ॥੪॥
Man Niramal Mukh Oojalaa Hoe Naanak Saadhh Ravaal ||4||
मनु निरमलु मुखु ऊजला होइ नानक साध रवाल ॥४॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਨਾਲ, ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ, ਮੂੰਹ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ-ਨਵਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||
The mind becomes pure, and one's face is radiant, Sathigur Nanak, when one becomes the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||4||

पंच बिकार मन महि बसे राचे माइआ संगि ॥
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਮ, ਕਰੋਧ, ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਲੋਭ, ਮੋਹ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਧੰਨ, ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ॥
The five evil passions dwell in the mind of one who is engrossed in Maya.
13668 ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੫॥

साधसंगि होइ निरमला नानक प्रभ कै रंगि ॥५॥

पंचमि पंच प्रधान ते जिह जानिओ परपंचु ॥
ਪੰਚਮਿ-ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜ ਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਮਝਦਾਰ ਜਾਂਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The fifth day of the lunar cycle: They are the self-elect, the most distinguished, who know the true nature of the world.
13671 ਕੁਸਮ ਬਾਸ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਘਣੋ ਸਭ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਬਲਬੰਚੁ ॥

कुसम बास बहु रंगु घणो सभ मिथिआ बलबंचु ॥
ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਸ਼ਬੂ ਵਾਂਗ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ-ਅੰਨਦ ਭਰੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੀ ਨਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਠੱਗੀ ਹੈ॥
The many colors and scents of flowers - all worldly deceptions are transitory and false.
13672 ਨਹ ਜਾਪੈ ਨਹ ਬੂਝੀਐ ਨਹ ਕਛੁ ਕਰਤ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥

नह जापै नह बूझीऐ नह कछु करत बीचारु ॥
ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ, ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਪਿਆ, ਸਮਝਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ॥
People do not see, and they do not understand; they do not reflect upon anything.
13673 ਸੁਆਦ ਮੋਹ ਰਸ ਬੇਧਿਓ ਅਗਿਆਨਿ ਰਚਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥

सुआद मोह रस बेधिओ अगिआनि रचिओ संसारु ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬੇਸਮਝੀ, ਅੱਕਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The world is pierced through with attachment to tastes and pleasures, engrossed in ignorance.
13674 ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਣ ਕੀਨੇ ਕਰਮ ਅਨੇਕ ॥

जनम मरण बहु जोनि भ्रमण कीने करम अनेक ॥
ਉਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ, ਮਰਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

13675 ਰਚਨਹਾਰੁ ਨਹ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥

रचनहारु नह सिमरिओ मनि न बीचारि बिबेक ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਬਾਰੇ, ਪਰਖ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ॥
They do not meditate in remembrance on the Creator Lord; their minds do not understand.

भाउ भगति भगवान संगि माइआ लिपत न रंच ॥
ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਤਾ ਭਰ ਮੋਹ, ਧੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੱਸਦੇ॥
By loving devotion to the Lord God, you shall not be polluted by Maya at all.

खट सासत्र ऊचौ कहहि अंतु न पारावार ॥
ਖਟ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ-ਛੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਂਖ, ਯੋਗ, ਨਿਆਇ, ਵੈਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਿਕ, ਮੀਮਾਂਸਾ, ਵੇਦਾਂਤ ਊਚੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦੇ। ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ॥
The six Shaastras proclaim Him to be the greatest; He has no end or limitation.

खसटमि खट सासत्र कहहि सिम्रिति कथहि अनेक ॥
ਖਸਟਮਿ- ਛੇਵਾਂ ਥਿਤਿ, ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਛੇਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। ਛੇ ਸਾਸਤਰ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥

ऊतमु ऊचौ पारब्रहमु गुण अंतु न जाणहि सेख ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਵੱਡਾ, ਊਚਾ ਗੁਣਾ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਰੱਬ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਾਗ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਮੂੰਹਾ ਨਾਲ, ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਵੀ ਰੱਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਣਦੇ॥
That the Supreme Lord God is the most sublime and lofty. Even the thousand-tongued serpent does not know the limits of His Glories.

ਨਾਰਦ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ, ਮੁਨੀ ਲੋਕ, ਸੁਕ ਬਿਆਸ ਵਰਗੇ ਵੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Naarad, the humble beings, Suk and Vyaasa sing the Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
13685 ਰਸ ਗੀਧੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬੀਧੇ ਭਗਤ ਰਚੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥
Ras Geedhhae Har Sio Beedhhae Bhagath Rachae Bhagavanth ||
रस गीधे हरि सिउ बीधे भगत रचे भगवंत ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਿੱਠੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਚੇ-ਮਿਚੇ, ਹੋਏ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
They are imbued with the Lord's essence; united with Him; they are absorbed in devotional worship of the Lord God.
13686 ਮੋਹ ਮਾਨ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਪਾਈ ਸਰਨਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

मोह मान भ्रमु बिनसिओ पाई सरनि दइआल ॥
ਪਿਆਰ, ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਵਹਿਮ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ॥
Emotional attachment, pride and doubt are eliminated, when one takes to the Sanctuary of the Merciful Lord.
13687 ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਸੇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥

चरन कमल मनि तनि बसे दरसनु देखि निहाल ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੈੜ-ਚਾਲ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ, ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅੰਨਦਤ-ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ॥
His Lotus Feet abide within my mind and body and I am enraptured, beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.
13688 ਲਾਭੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤੋਟਾ ਹਿਰੈ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥

लाभु मिलै तोटा हिरै साधसंगि लिव लाइ ॥
ਫ਼ੈਇਦਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ, ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਵਿੱਚ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਮਨ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
People reap their profits, and suffer no loss, when they embrace love for the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
13689 ਖਾਟਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਹਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੬॥

तीनि बिआपहि जगत कउ तुरीआ पावै कोइ ॥
ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਧੰਨ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਰਜੋ, ਤਪੋ, ਸਤੋ ਅਸਰ ਕਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਚੌਥੀ ਅਵਸਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The world is in the grip of the three qualities; only a few attain the fourth state of absorption.

त्रितीआ त्रै गुण बिखै फल कब उतम कब नीचु ॥
ਪੂਰੇ ਚੰਦ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜੇਫ਼ਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The third day of the lunar cycle: Those who are bound by the three qualities gather poison as their fruit; now they are good, and now they are bad.
13647 ਨਰਕ ਸੁਰਗ ਭ੍ਰਮਤਉ ਘਣੋ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ਮੀਚੁ ॥
Narak Surag Bhramatho Ghano Sadhaa Sanghaarai Meech ||
नरक सुरग भ्रमतउ घणो सदा संघारै मीचु ॥
ਜੀਵਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣਾਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They wander endlessly in heaven and hell, until death annihilates them.
13648 ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਸਹਸਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥
Harakh Sog Sehasaa Sansaar Ho Ho Karath Bihaae ||
हरख सोग सहसा संसारु हउ हउ करत बिहाइ ॥
ਗੁੱਸੇ, ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਡਰ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ, ਮੈਂ-ਮੈ ਕਰਦੀ ਭੱਟਕਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ॥
In pleasure and pain and worldly cynicism, they pass their lives acting in ego.
13649 ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਚਿਤਵਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਇ ॥
Jin Keeeae Thisehi N Jaananee Chithavehi Anik Oupaae ||
ਜਿਸ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਂਣਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਬਥੇਰੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਸਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
जिनि कीए तिसहि न जाणनी चितवहि अनिक उपाइ ॥
They do not know the One who created them; they think up all sorts of schemes and plans.
13650 ਆਧਿ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਰਸ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਤੂਟੈ ਤਾਪ ॥

आधि बिआधि उपाधि रस कबहु न तूटै ताप ॥
ਮਨ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ, ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ॥
Their minds and bodies are distracted by pleasure and pain, and their fever never departs.
13651 ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਧਨੀ ਨਹ ਬੂਝੈ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥

पारब्रहम पूरन धनी नह बूझै परताप ॥
ਗੁਣੀ ਤੇ ਗੁਆਨੀ ਰੱਬ ਕੋਲ, ਹਰ ਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ॥
They do not realize the glorious radiance of the Supreme Lord God, the Perfect Lord and Master.
13652 ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ਬੂਡਤ ਘਣੋ ਮਹਾ ਨਰਕ ਮਹਿ ਵਾਸ ॥
Moh Bharam Booddath Ghano Mehaa Narak Mehi Vaas ||
मोह भरम बूडत घणो महा नरक महि वास ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਖ ਭੋਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
So many are being drowned in emotional attachment and doubt; they dwell in the most horrible hell.
13653 ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਸ ॥੩॥

करि किरपा प्रभ राखि लेहु नानक तेरी आस ॥३॥

चतुर सिआणा सुघड़ु सोइ जिनि तजिआ अभिमानु ॥
ਚਲਾਕ, ਅੱਕਲ, ਚੱਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਮੈਂ-ਮੈਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ॥
One who renounces egotistical pride is intelligent, wise and refined.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਕਾਂਮ, ਮੋਖ, ਅਰਥ, ਧਰਮ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋਗੀਆ ਦੇ ਅੱਠੇ ਅਣਿਮਾ, ਮਹਿਮਾ, ਲਘਿਮਾ, ਗਰਿਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ, ਪ੍ਰਾਕਾਮ੍ਯ, ਈਸ਼ਿਤਾ, ਵਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ, ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਹਨ ||4||
The four cardinal blessings, and the eight spiritual powers of the Siddhas are obtained, Sathigur Nanak, by meditating, vibrating on the Lord's Name. ||4||

ਪੂਰੇ ਚੰਦ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਚੌਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ, ਚਾਰੇ ਬੇਦ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਨਵੀਂ ਗੱਲ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ॥

सरब खेम कलिआण निधि राम नामु जपि सारु ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦਾ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੋ ਸਬ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਮ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ॥
That the treasure of all joy and comfort is found in sublime meditation on the Lord's Name.
13660 ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੈ ਤੂਟਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਕਲੇਸ ॥

नरक निवारै दुख हरै तूटहि अनिक कलेस ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ, ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ, ਦੁੱਖ, ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੇਅੰਤ ਝਗੜੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
One is saved from hell, suffering is destroyed, countless pains depart,
13661 ਮੀਚੁ ਹੁਟੈ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਪਰਵੇਸ ॥
Meech Huttai Jam Thae Shhuttai Har Keerathan Paravaes ||
मीचु हुटै जम ते छुटै हरि कीरतन परवेस ॥
ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੰਮਦੂਤ ਨੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ। ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਈਏ।
Death is overcome, and one escapes the Messenger of Death, by absorption in the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises.
13662 ਭਉ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਸੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥
Bho Binasai Anmrith Rasai Rang Rathae Nirankaar ||
भउ बिनसै अम्रितु रसै रंगि रते निरंकार ॥
ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਅਸਰ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਲਿਵ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Fear departs, and one savors the Ambrosial Nectar, imbued with the Love of the Formless Lord.
13663 ਦੁਖ ਦਾਰਿਦ ਅਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰ ॥
Dhukh Dhaaridh Apavithrathaa Naasehi Naam Adhhaar ||
दुख दारिद अपवित्रता नासहि नाम अधार ॥
ਰੋਗ, ਪੀੜਾਂ, ਗਰੀਬੀ, ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Pain, poverty and impurity are removed, with the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
13664 ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਖੋਜਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

सुरि नर मुनि जन खोजते सुख सागर गोपाल ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੀ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ, ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵੀ ਅੰਨਦ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The angels, the seers and the silent sages search for the Ocean of peace, the Sustainer of the world.
13665 ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਊਜਲਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲ ॥੪॥
Man Niramal Mukh Oojalaa Hoe Naanak Saadhh Ravaal ||4||
मनु निरमलु मुखु ऊजला होइ नानक साध रवाल ॥४॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਨਾਲ, ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ, ਮੂੰਹ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ-ਨਵਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||
The mind becomes pure, and one's face is radiant, Sathigur Nanak, when one becomes the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||4||

पंच बिकार मन महि बसे राचे माइआ संगि ॥
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਮ, ਕਰੋਧ, ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਲੋਭ, ਮੋਹ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਧੰਨ, ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ॥
The five evil passions dwell in the mind of one who is engrossed in Maya.
13668 ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੫॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ ਕੇ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਵ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||5||
In the Saadh Sangat, one becomes pure, Sathigur Nanak, imbued with the Love of God. ||5||

पंचमि पंच प्रधान ते जिह जानिओ परपंचु ॥
ਪੰਚਮਿ-ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜ ਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਮਝਦਾਰ ਜਾਂਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The fifth day of the lunar cycle: They are the self-elect, the most distinguished, who know the true nature of the world.
13671 ਕੁਸਮ ਬਾਸ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਘਣੋ ਸਭ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਬਲਬੰਚੁ ॥

कुसम बास बहु रंगु घणो सभ मिथिआ बलबंचु ॥
ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਸ਼ਬੂ ਵਾਂਗ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ-ਅੰਨਦ ਭਰੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੀ ਨਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਠੱਗੀ ਹੈ॥
The many colors and scents of flowers - all worldly deceptions are transitory and false.
13672 ਨਹ ਜਾਪੈ ਨਹ ਬੂਝੀਐ ਨਹ ਕਛੁ ਕਰਤ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥

नह जापै नह बूझीऐ नह कछु करत बीचारु ॥
ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ, ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਪਿਆ, ਸਮਝਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ॥
People do not see, and they do not understand; they do not reflect upon anything.
13673 ਸੁਆਦ ਮੋਹ ਰਸ ਬੇਧਿਓ ਅਗਿਆਨਿ ਰਚਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥

सुआद मोह रस बेधिओ अगिआनि रचिओ संसारु ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬੇਸਮਝੀ, ਅੱਕਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The world is pierced through with attachment to tastes and pleasures, engrossed in ignorance.
13674 ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਣ ਕੀਨੇ ਕਰਮ ਅਨੇਕ ॥
Janam Maran Bahu Jon Bhraman Keenae Karam Anaek ||
जनम मरण बहु जोनि भ्रमण कीने करम अनेक ॥
ਉਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ, ਮਰਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who perform empty religious rituals will be born, only to die again. They wander through endless incarnations.
13675 ਰਚਨਹਾਰੁ ਨਹ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥
Rachanehaar Neh Simariou Man N Beechaar Bibaek ||
रचनहारु नह सिमरिओ मनि न बीचारि बिबेक ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਬਾਰੇ, ਪਰਖ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ॥
They do not meditate in remembrance on the Creator Lord; their minds do not understand.
13676 ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਲਿਪਤ ਨ ਰੰਚ ॥
Bhaao Bhagath Bhagavaan Sang Maaeiaa Lipath N Ranch ||
भाउ भगति भगवान संगि माइआ लिपत न रंच ॥
ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਤਾ ਭਰ ਮੋਹ, ਧੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੱਸਦੇ॥
By loving devotion to the Lord God, you shall not be polluted by Maya at all.
13677 ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਰਲੇ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਜੋ ਨ ਰਚਹਿ ਪਰਪੰਚ ॥੫॥

खट सासत्र ऊचौ कहहि अंतु न पारावार ॥
ਖਟ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ-ਛੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਂਖ, ਯੋਗ, ਨਿਆਇ, ਵੈਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਿਕ, ਮੀਮਾਂਸਾ, ਵੇਦਾਂਤ ਊਚੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦੇ। ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ॥
The six Shaastras proclaim Him to be the greatest; He has no end or limitation.
13680 ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਦੁਆਰ ॥੬॥

भगत सोहहि गुण गावते नानक प्रभ कै दुआर ॥६॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ||6||
The devotees look beauteous, Sathigur Nanak, when they sing the Glories of God at His Door. ||6||

खसटमि खट सासत्र कहहि सिम्रिति कथहि अनेक ॥
ਖਸਟਮਿ- ਛੇਵਾਂ ਥਿਤਿ, ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਛੇਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। ਛੇ ਸਾਸਤਰ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
The sixth day of the lunar cycle: The six Shaastras say, and countless Simritees assert,
13683 ਊਤਮੁ ਊਚੌ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਗੁਣ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸੇਖ ॥
Ootham Oocha Paarabreham Gun Anth N Jaanehi Saekh ||
ऊतमु ऊचौ पारब्रहमु गुण अंतु न जाणहि सेख ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਵੱਡਾ, ਊਚਾ ਗੁਣਾ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਰੱਬ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਾਗ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਮੂੰਹਾ ਨਾਲ, ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਵੀ ਰੱਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਣਦੇ॥
That the Supreme Lord God is the most sublime and lofty. Even the thousand-tongued serpent does not know the limits of His Glories.
13684 ਨਾਰਦ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਸੁਕ ਬਿਆਸ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਤ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥
Naaradh Mun Jan Suk Biaas Jas Gaavath Gobindh ||
नारद मुनि जन सुक बिआस जसु गावत गोबिंद ॥
ਨਾਰਦ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ, ਮੁਨੀ ਲੋਕ, ਸੁਕ ਬਿਆਸ ਵਰਗੇ ਵੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Naarad, the humble beings, Suk and Vyaasa sing the Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
13685 ਰਸ ਗੀਧੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬੀਧੇ ਭਗਤ ਰਚੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥
Ras Geedhhae Har Sio Beedhhae Bhagath Rachae Bhagavanth ||
रस गीधे हरि सिउ बीधे भगत रचे भगवंत ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਿੱਠੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਚੇ-ਮਿਚੇ, ਹੋਏ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
They are imbued with the Lord's essence; united with Him; they are absorbed in devotional worship of the Lord God.
13686 ਮੋਹ ਮਾਨ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਪਾਈ ਸਰਨਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
Moh Maan Bhram Binasiou Paaee Saran Dhaeiaal ||
मोह मान भ्रमु बिनसिओ पाई सरनि दइआल ॥
ਪਿਆਰ, ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਵਹਿਮ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ॥
Emotional attachment, pride and doubt are eliminated, when one takes to the Sanctuary of the Merciful Lord.
13687 ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਸੇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Charan Kamal Man Than Basae Dharasan Dhaekh Nihaal ||
चरन कमल मनि तनि बसे दरसनु देखि निहाल ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੈੜ-ਚਾਲ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ, ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅੰਨਦਤ-ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ॥
His Lotus Feet abide within my mind and body and I am enraptured, beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.
13688 ਲਾਭੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤੋਟਾ ਹਿਰੈ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
Laabh Milai Thottaa Hirai Saadhhasang Liv Laae ||
लाभु मिलै तोटा हिरै साधसंगि लिव लाइ ॥
ਫ਼ੈਇਦਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ, ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਵਿੱਚ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਮਨ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
People reap their profits, and suffer no loss, when they embrace love for the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ, ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪ ਕੇ, ਭੰਡਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾਂ ਇੱਕਠਾ ਕਰੀਏ| |6||
They gather in the treasure of the Lord, the Ocean of Excellence, Sathigur Nanak, by meditating on the Naam. ||6||
