Santh Manddal Har Jas Kathhehi Bolehi Sath Subhaae ||
संत मंडल हरि जसु कथहि बोलहि सति सुभाइ ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾਂ ਜੱਪਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਦਾ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸ ਨੁੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
In the gathering of the Saints, chant the Praises of the Lord, and speak the Truth with love.

सपतमि संचहु नाम धनु टूटि न जाहि भंडार ॥
ਸਪਤਮਿ-ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਠਾ ਕਰੀਰੇ। ਜਿਸ ਨਾਂਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮੁੱਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ॥
The seventh day of the lunar cycle: Gather the wealth of the Naam; this is a treasure which shall never be exhausted.
13695 ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ॥

संतसंगति महि पाईऐ अंतु न पारावार ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ, ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਲੀ, ਗੁਣਾ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ, ਪਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ ॥
In the Society of the Saints, He is obtained; He has no end or limitations.
13696 ਆਪੁ ਤਜਹੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਜਹੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥

आपु तजहु गोबिंद भजहु सरनि परहु हरि राइ ॥
ਆਪਣਾਂ ਆਪ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪੀਏ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਈਏ॥
Renounce your selfishness and conceit, and meditate, vibrate on the Lord of the Universe; take to the Sanctuary of the Lord, our King.
13697 ਦੂਖ ਹਰੈ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰੈ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
Dhookh Harai Bhavajal Tharai Man Chindhiaa Fal Paae ||
दूख हरै भवजलु तरै मन चिंदिआ फलु पाइ ॥
ਦਰਦ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ, ਮੁੱਕਤੀ ਪਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਮਨੋ-ਕਾਂਮਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Your pains shall depart - swim across the terrifying world-ocean, and obtain the fruits of your mind's desires.
13698 ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੈ ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥

आठ पहर मनि हरि जपै सफलु जनमु परवाणु ॥
ਚੌਵੀ ਘੰਟੇ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਡਰ, ਪਿਆਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀਏ। ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ, ਜੀਵਨ ਮਕਸਦ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਮੁੱਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
One who meditates on the Lord twenty-four hours a day - fruitful and blessed is his coming into the world.
13699 ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰੁ ਪਛਾਣੁ ॥

अंतरि बाहरि सदा संगि करनैहारु पछाणु ॥
ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਬੱਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਝ ਲੈ॥
Inwardly and outwardly, realize that the Creator Lord is always with you.

सो साजनु सो सखा मीतु जो हरि की मति देइ ॥
ਉਹੀ ਦੋਸਤ, ਉਹੀ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਅੱਕਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He is your friend, your companion, your very best friend, who imparts the Teachings of the Lord.

आठ पहर गुन गाईअहि तजीअहि अवरि जंजाल ॥
ਚੌਵੀ ਘੰਟੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਡਰ, ਵਹਿਮ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਝਗੜੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord twenty-four hours a day; renounce other entanglements.
13704 ਜਮਕੰਕਰੁ ਜੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੮॥

जमकंकरु जोहि न सकई नानक प्रभू दइआल ॥८॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮ-ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਡਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||8||

ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ, ਊਚਾ ਵਧੀਆਂ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨਾਲ, ਅੱਕਲ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੈ॥

These are obtained by meditating, vibrating upon the Lord, Har, Har, in the Company of the Perfect Guru.

नाराइणु नह सिमरिओ मोहिओ सुआद बिकार ॥
ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ, ਬੇਸੁਆਦ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
He does not remember the Lord in meditation; he is fascinated by the pleasures of corruption.

ਨਉਮੀ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਛੇਕ ਦੋ ਕੰਨ, ਦੋ ਅੱਖਾਂ, ਦੋ ਕੰਨ, ਦੋ ਮਲਮੂਤਰ ਵਾਲੇ, ਮੂੰਹ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The ninth day of the lunar cycle: The nine holes of the body are defiled.

हरि नामु न जपहि करत बिपरीति ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਪੁੱਠੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
People do not chant the Lord's Name; instead, they practice evil.
13720 ਪਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਅ ਰਮਹਿ ਬਕਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਨਿੰਦ ॥

पर त्रिअ रमहि बकहि साध निंद ॥
ਦੋ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਰੂਪ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾੜਾ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They commit adultery, slander the Saints,
13721 ਕਰਨ ਨ ਸੁਨਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਬਿੰਦ ॥

करन न सुनही हरि जसु बिंद ॥
ਕੰਨ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ, ਇੱਕ ਪਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ॥
And do not listen to even a tiny bit of the Lord's Praise.
13722 ਹਿਰਹਿ ਪਰ ਦਰਬੁ ਉਦਰ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
Hirehi Par Dharab Oudhar Kai Thaaee ||
हिरहि पर दरबु उदर कै ताई ॥
ਆਪਦਾ ਉਦਰ-ਪੇਟ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ, ਦੂਜੇ ਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਖੋਹਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They steal others' wealth for the sake of their own bellies,
13723 ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਨਿਵਰੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਨ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
Agan N Nivarai Thrisanaa N Bujhaaee ||
अगनि न निवरै त्रिसना न बुझाई ॥
ਲਾਲਚ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਪਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਮਨ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ॥
But the fire is not extinguished, and their thirst is not quenched.
13724 ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਏਹ ਫਲ ਲਾਗੇ ॥

हरि सेवा बिनु एह फल लागे ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ, ਜੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਇਹ ਮਾੜੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Without serving the Lord, these are their rewards.
13725 ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਮਰਿ ਜਮਹਿ ਅਭਾਗੇ ॥੯॥

ਸਪਤਮਿ-ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਠਾ ਕਰੀਰੇ। ਜਿਸ ਨਾਂਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮੁੱਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ॥

दूख हरै भवजलु तरै मन चिंदिआ फलु पाइ ॥
ਦਰਦ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ, ਮੁੱਕਤੀ ਪਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਮਨੋ-ਕਾਂਮਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ॥

ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਬੱਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਝ ਲੈ॥

नउमी नवे छिद्र अपवीत ॥
ਨਉਮੀ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਛੇਕ ਦੋ ਕੰਨ, ਦੋ ਅੱਖਾਂ, ਦੋ ਕੰਨ, ਦੋ ਮਲਮੂਤਰ ਵਾਲੇ, ਮੂੰਹ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The ninth day of the lunar cycle: The nine holes of the body are defiled.
13719 ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਜਪਹਿ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਪਰੀਤਿ ॥

हरि नामु न जपहि करत बिपरीति ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਪੁੱਠੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
People do not chant the Lord's Name; instead, they practice evil.
13720 ਪਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਅ ਰਮਹਿ ਬਕਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਨਿੰਦ ॥

पर त्रिअ रमहि बकहि साध निंद ॥
ਦੋ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਰੂਪ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾੜਾ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They commit adultery, slander the Saints,
13721 ਕਰਨ ਨ ਸੁਨਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਬਿੰਦ ॥

करन न सुनही हरि जसु बिंद ॥
ਕੰਨ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ, ਇੱਕ ਪਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ॥
And do not listen to even a tiny bit of the Lord's Praise.
13722 ਹਿਰਹਿ ਪਰ ਦਰਬੁ ਉਦਰ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
Hirehi Par Dharab Oudhar Kai Thaaee ||
हिरहि पर दरबु उदर कै ताई ॥
ਆਪਦਾ ਉਦਰ-ਪੇਟ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ, ਦੂਜੇ ਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਖੋਹਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They steal others' wealth for the sake of their own bellies,
13723 ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਨਿਵਰੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਨ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥

अगनि न निवरै त्रिसना न बुझाई ॥
ਲਾਲਚ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਪਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਮਨ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ॥
But the fire is not extinguished, and their thirst is not quenched.
13724 ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਏਹ ਫਲ ਲਾਗੇ ॥

हरि सेवा बिनु एह फल लागे ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ, ਜੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਇਹ ਮਾੜੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Without serving the Lord, these are their rewards.
13725 ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਮਰਿ ਜਮਹਿ ਅਭਾਗੇ ॥੯॥

नानक प्रभ बिसरत मरि जमहि अभागे ॥९॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ, ਭੁੱਲਾ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਜਮਦੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ||9||

दस दिस खोजत मै फिरिओ जत देखउ तत सोइ ॥
ਦਸੀ ਪਾਸੀ ਫਿਰ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ, ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਜਿਧਰ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ॥
I have wandered, searching in the ten directions - wherever I look, there I see Him.
13728 ਮਨੁ ਬਸਿ ਆਵੈ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੧੦॥

मनु बसि आवै नानका जे पूरन किरपा होइ ॥१०॥
ਜਿੰਦ ਜਾਨ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਸਪੂਰਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ||10||
The mind comes to be controlled, Sathigur Nanak, if He grants His Perfect Grace. ||10||

ਦਸਮੀ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਦਸ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ, ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ॥
The tenth day of the lunar cycle: Overpower the ten sensory and motor organs;
13731 ਮਨਿ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿ ਲੀਨੇ ॥

ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ॥
Your mind will be content, as you chant the Naam.
13732 ਕਰਨੀ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਜਸੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਤੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖੀ ਦੇਖੀਏ॥
With your eyes, behold the kind, Holy Saints.
13734 ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਬੇਅੰਤ ॥

रसना गुन गावै बेअंत ॥
ਜੀਭ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
With your tongue, sing the Glorious Praises of the Infinite Lord.
13735 ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥
Man Mehi Chithavai Pooran Bhagavanth ||
मन महि चितवै पूरन भगवंत ॥
ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ, ਗੁਣਾਂ, ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
In your mind, remember the Perfect Lord God.
13736 ਹਸਤ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਈਐ ॥
Hasath Charan Santh Ttehal Kamaaeeai ||
हसत चरन संत टहल कमाईऐ ॥
ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਤਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
With your hands and feet, work for the Saints.
13737 ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧੦॥
Naanak Eihu Sanjam Prabh Kirapaa Paaeeai ||10||
नानक इहु संजमु प्रभ किरपा पाईऐ ॥१०॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ , ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ, ਇਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ, ਅੱਕਲ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ||10||
Sathigur Nanak, this way of life is obtained by God's Grace. ||10||
