रंग संगि बिखिआ के भोगा इन संगि अंध न जानी ॥१॥
ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ॥1॥
He is immersed in the enjoyment of corrupt pleasures; engrossed in them, the blind fool does not understand. ||1||
10616 ਹਉ ਸੰਚਉ ਹਉ ਖਾਟਤਾ ਸਗਲੀ ਅਵਧ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

हउ संचउ हउ खाटता सगली अवध बिहानी ॥ रहाउ ॥
ਮੈ ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਠੀ ਕਰਦਾਂ ਹਾਂ। ਉਮਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਣੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
I am earning profits, I am getting rich, he says, as his life passes away. ||Pause||
10617 ਹਉ ਸੂਰਾ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ਹਉ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੁਝਹਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
Ho Sooraa Paradhhaan Ho Ko Naahee Mujhehi Samaanee ||2||
हउ सूरा परधानु हउ को नाही मुझहि समानी ॥२॥
ਮੈਂ ਸੋਹਣਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਊਚਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ||2||
I am a hero, I am famous and distinguished; no one is equal to me.||2||
10618 ਜੋਬਨਵੰਤ ਅਚਾਰ ਕੁਲੀਨਾ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ॥੩॥
Jobanavanth Achaar Kuleenaa Man Mehi Hoe Gumaanee ||3||
जोबनवंत अचार कुलीना मन महि होइ गुमानी ॥३॥
ਮੈਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ। ਵੱਡੇ ਖਾਨਦਾਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਆਚਰਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਚਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਉਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਂਣ ਹੈ॥
I am young, cultured, and born of a good family. In his mind, he is proud and arrogant like this. ||3||
10619 ਜਿਉ ਉਲਝਾਇਓ ਬਾਧ ਬੁਧਿ ਕਾ ਮਰਤਿਆ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਸਰਾਨੀ ॥੪॥

जिउ उलझाइओ बाध बुधि का मरतिआ नही बिसरानी ॥४॥
ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁਬਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ, ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||
He is trapped by his false intellect, and he does not forget this until he dies. ||4||
10620 ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਸਖੇ ਪਾਛੇ ਤਿਨਹੂ ਕਉ ਸੰਪਾਨੀ ॥੫॥
Bhaaee Meeth Bandhhap Sakhae Paashhae Thinehoo Ko Sanpaanee ||5||
भाई मीत बंधप सखे पाछे तिनहू कउ स्मपानी ॥५॥
ਭਰਾ, ਦੋਸਤ, ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ, ਸਕਿਆਂ ਨੇੜੈ ਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਮਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਮਾਂਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||5||
Brothers, friends, relatives and companions who live after him - he entrusts his wealth to them. ||5||
10621 ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਗੋ ਮਨੁ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਨੀ ॥੬॥
Jith Laago Man Baasanaa Anth Saaee Pragattaanee ||6||
जितु लागो मनु बासना अंति साई प्रगटानी ॥६॥
ਜਿਹਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਬੰਦਾ, ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||6||
That desire, to which the mind is attached, at the last moment, becomes man
ifest. ||6||
10622 ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਸੁਚਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਇਹ ਬੰਧਨ ਬੰਧਾਨੀ ॥੭॥

अह्मबुधि सुचि करम करि इह बंधन बंधानी ॥७॥
ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਮਿਕ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨੇਮ ਨਿਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||7||
He may perform religious deeds, but his mind is egotistical, and he is bound by these bonds. ||7||

ਰੱਬ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਬਣਾਂਕੇ, ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਪਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਮਾਰ ਵੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵੱਲ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ, ਸੁਣਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥

मुंध रैणि दुहेलड़ीआ जीउ नीद न आवै ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਔਰਤ, ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸੌਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ॥
For the bride, the night is painful; sleep does not come.
10627 ਸਾ ਧਨ ਦੁਬਲੀਆ ਜੀਉ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਹਾਵੈ ॥
Saa Dhhan Dhubaleeaa Jeeo Pir Kai Haavai ||
सा धन दुबलीआ जीउ पिर कै हावै ॥
ਔਰਤ, ਉਸ ਸਾਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੋਕੇ ਲੈਂਦੀ, ਆਪਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੀ। ਪਤਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਦੀ ਹੈ॥
he soul-bride has grown weak, in the pain of separation from her Husband God.
10628 ਸਾ ਧਨ ਥੀਈ ਦੁਬਲਿ ਕੰਤ ਹਾਵੈ ਕੇਵ ਨੈਣੀ ਦੇਖਏ ॥

धन थीई दुबलि कंत हावै केव नैणी देखए ॥
ਔਰਤ, ਉਸ ਸਾਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੋਕੇ ਲੈਂਦੀ, ਆਪਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੀ। ਪਤਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੇ? ॥
The soul-bride is wasting away, in the pain of separation from her Husband; how can she see Him with her eyes?
10629 ਸੀਗਾਰ ਮਿਠ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ਭੋਜਨ ਸਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਲੇਖਏ ॥
Seegaar Mith Ras Bhog Bhojan Sabh Jhooth Kithai N Laekheae ||
सीगार मिठ रस भोग भोजन सभु झूठु कितै न लेखए ॥
ਹਾਰ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ, ਰਸਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਐਸ਼-ਅਰਾਮ, ਸਾਰੇ ਫਿੱਕੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Her decorations, sweet foods, sensuous pleasures and delicacies are all false; they are of no account at all.
10630 ਮੈ ਮਤ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਗਰਬਿ ਗਾਲੀ ਦੁਧਾ ਥਣੀ ਨ ਆਵਏ ॥
Mai Math Joban Garab Gaalee Dhudhhaa Thhanee N Aaveae ||
मै मत जोबनि गरबि गाली दुधा थणी न आवए ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਦੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ, ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ, ਸੋਹਾਗਣ ਦਾ ਸੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Intoxicated with the wine of youthful pride, she has been ruined, and her breasts no longer yield milk.
10631 ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵਏ ॥੧॥
Naanak Saa Dhhan Milai Milaaee Bin Pir Needh N Aaveae ||1||
नानक सा धन मिलै मिलाई बिनु पिर नीद न आवए ॥१॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਗੈਰ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਦੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ||1||
Sathigur Nanak, the soul-bride meets her Husband God, when He causes her to meet Him; without Him, sleep does not come to her. ||1||
10632 ਮੁੰਧ ਨਿਮਾਨੜੀਆ ਜੀਉ ਬਿਨੁ ਧਨੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

मुंध निमानड़ीआ जीउ बिनु धनी पिआरे ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਜਵਾਨ ਔਰਤ ਜਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ॥
The bride is dishonored without her Beloved Husband God.
10633 ਕਿਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈਗੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Kio Sukh Paavaigee Bin Our Dhhaarae ||
किउ सुखु पावैगी बिनु उर धारे ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗੇ ਬਗੈਰ, ਅੰਨਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੀ॥
How can she find peace, without enshrining Him in her heart?
10634 ਨਾਹ ਬਿਨੁ ਘਰ ਵਾਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੁਛਹੁ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ॥
Naah Bin Ghar Vaas Naahee Pushhahu Sakhee Sehaeleeaa ||
नाह बिनु घर वासु नाही पुछहु सखी सहेलीआ ॥
ਖਸਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਪਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ, ਹਮ-ਉਮਰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਲਵੋ॥
hout her Husband, her home is not worth living in; go and ask your sisters and companions.
10635 ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਵਸਹਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸੁਹੇਲੀਆ ॥
Bin Naam Preeth Piaar Naahee Vasehi Saach Suhaeleeaa ||
बिनु नाम प्रीति पिआरु नाही वसहि साचि सुहेलीआ ॥
ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ, ਇਹੀ ਦੱਸਣ ਗੀਆਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ। ਪ੍ਰੀਤ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਣਦਾ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the God, there is no love and affection; but with her True God, she abides in peace.
10636 ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਸਜਨ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਮੇਲਾ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਹੁ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
Sach Man Sajan Santhokh Maelaa Guramathee Sahu Jaaniaa ||
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਸਬਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸਾਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਾਲ ਕੇ, ਮਾਲਕ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Through mental truthfulness and contentment, union with the True Friend is attained, through the Sathigur's Teachings, the Husband God.
10637 ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਛੋਡੈ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੀਆ ॥੨॥
Naanak Naam N Shhoddai Saa Dhhan Naam Sehaj Samaaneeaa ||2||
नानक नामु न छोडै सा धन नामि सहजि समाणीआ ॥२॥
ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦੇ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ||2||
Sathigur Nanak, that soul-bride who does not abandon the Naam, is intuitively absorbed in the Naam. ||2||
10638 ਮਿਲੁ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੜੀਹੋ ਹਮ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੇਹਾ ॥
Mil Sakhee Sehaelarreeho Ham Pir Raavaehaa ||
मिलु सखी सहेलड़ीहो हम पिरु रावेहा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਿਆਂ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ॥
Come, my friends and companions, let's enjoy our Husband God.
10639 ਗੁਰ ਪੁਛਿ ਲਿਖਉਗੀ ਜੀਉ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਨੇਹਾ ॥
Gur Pushh Likhougee Jeeo Sabadh Sanaehaa ||
गुर पुछि लिखउगी जीउ सबदि सनेहा ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਹੀ, ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਾਂਗੀ॥
I will ask the Sathigur, and write His Word as my love-note.
10640 ਸਬਦੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖੀ ਪਛੁਤਾਣੀਆ ॥
Sabadh Saachaa Gur Dhikhaaeiaa Manamukhee Pashhuthaaneeaa ||
सबदु साचा गुरि दिखाइआ मनमुखी पछुताणीआ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਰਾਹੀ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਭੱਟਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
The Sathigur has shown me the True Word of the Sathigur's Shabad. The self-willed manmukhs will regret and repent.

ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਬੱਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਦੁਸ਼ਮੱਣ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਸੱਚੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥
My friends are happy, and my enemies are unhappy; meditating on the True God , the true profit is obtained.

With her palms pressed together, the soul-bride prays, that she may remain immersed in the Love of her God , night and day.

जोबनवंत अचार कुलीना मन महि होइ गुमानी ॥३॥
ਮੈਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ। ਵੱਡੇ ਖਾਨਦਾਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਆਚਰਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਚਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਉਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਂਣ ਹੈ॥
I am young, cultured, and born of a good family. In his mind, he is proud and arrogant like this. ||3||
10619 ਜਿਉ ਉਲਝਾਇਓ ਬਾਧ ਬੁਧਿ ਕਾ ਮਰਤਿਆ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਸਰਾਨੀ ॥੪॥

जिउ उलझाइओ बाध बुधि का मरतिआ नही बिसरानी ॥४॥
ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁਬਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ, ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||
He is trapped by his false intellect, and he does not forget this until he dies. ||4||
10620 ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਸਖੇ ਪਾਛੇ ਤਿਨਹੂ ਕਉ ਸੰਪਾਨੀ ॥੫॥

भाई मीत बंधप सखे पाछे तिनहू कउ स्मपानी ॥५॥
ਭਰਾ, ਦੋਸਤ, ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ, ਸਕਿਆਂ ਨੇੜੈ ਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਮਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਮਾਂਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||5||
Brothers, friends, relatives and companions who live after him - he entrusts his wealth to them. ||5||
10621 ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਗੋ ਮਨੁ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਨੀ ॥੬॥

जितु लागो मनु बासना अंति साई प्रगटानी ॥६॥
ਜਿਹਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਬੰਦਾ, ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਧੰਨ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||6||
That desire, to which the mind is attached, at the last moment, becomes man
ifest. ||6||
10622 ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਸੁਚਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਇਹ ਬੰਧਨ ਬੰਧਾਨੀ ॥੭॥

अह्मबुधि सुचि करम करि इह बंधन बंधानी ॥७॥
ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਮਿਕ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨੇਮ ਨਿਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||7||
He may perform religious deeds, but his mind is egotistical, and he is bound by these bonds. ||7||

मुंध रैणि दुहेलड़ीआ जीउ नीद न आवै ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਔਰਤ, ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸੌਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ॥
For the bride, the night is painful; sleep does not come.
10627 ਸਾ ਧਨ ਦੁਬਲੀਆ ਜੀਉ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਹਾਵੈ ॥

सा धन दुबलीआ जीउ पिर कै हावै ॥
ਔਰਤ, ਉਸ ਸਾਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੋਕੇ ਲੈਂਦੀ, ਆਪਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੀ। ਪਤਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਦੀ ਹੈ॥
he soul-bride has grown weak, in the pain of separation from her Husband God.
10628 ਸਾ ਧਨ ਥੀਈ ਦੁਬਲਿ ਕੰਤ ਹਾਵੈ ਕੇਵ ਨੈਣੀ ਦੇਖਏ ॥

धन थीई दुबलि कंत हावै केव नैणी देखए ॥
ਔਰਤ, ਉਸ ਸਾਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੋਕੇ ਲੈਂਦੀ, ਆਪਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੀ। ਪਤਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੇ? ॥
The soul-bride is wasting away, in the pain of separation from her Husband; how can she see Him with her eyes?
10629 ਸੀਗਾਰ ਮਿਠ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ਭੋਜਨ ਸਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਲੇਖਏ ॥
Seegaar Mith Ras Bhog Bhojan Sabh Jhooth Kithai N Laekheae ||
सीगार मिठ रस भोग भोजन सभु झूठु कितै न लेखए ॥
ਹਾਰ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ, ਰਸਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਐਸ਼-ਅਰਾਮ, ਸਾਰੇ ਫਿੱਕੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Her decorations, sweet foods, sensuous pleasures and delicacies are all false; they are of no account at all.
10630 ਮੈ ਮਤ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਗਰਬਿ ਗਾਲੀ ਦੁਧਾ ਥਣੀ ਨ ਆਵਏ ॥

मै मत जोबनि गरबि गाली दुधा थणी न आवए ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਦੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ, ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ, ਸੋਹਾਗਣ ਦਾ ਸੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Intoxicated with the wine of youthful pride, she has been ruined, and her breasts no longer yield milk.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਗੈਰ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਦੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ||1||

ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਜਵਾਨ ਔਰਤ ਜਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ॥
The bride is dishonored without her Beloved Husband God.
10633 ਕਿਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈਗੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Kio Sukh Paavaigee Bin Our Dhhaarae ||
किउ सुखु पावैगी बिनु उर धारे ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗੇ ਬਗੈਰ, ਅੰਨਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੀ॥
How can she find peace, without enshrining Him in her heart?
10634 ਨਾਹ ਬਿਨੁ ਘਰ ਵਾਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੁਛਹੁ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ॥
Naah Bin Ghar Vaas Naahee Pushhahu Sakhee Sehaeleeaa ||
नाह बिनु घर वासु नाही पुछहु सखी सहेलीआ ॥
ਖਸਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਪਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ, ਹਮ-ਉਮਰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਲਵੋ॥
hout her Husband, her home is not worth living in; go and ask your sisters and companions.
10635 ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਵਸਹਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸੁਹੇਲੀਆ ॥
Bin Naam Preeth Piaar Naahee Vasehi Saach Suhaeleeaa ||
बिनु नाम प्रीति पिआरु नाही वसहि साचि सुहेलीआ ॥
ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ, ਇਹੀ ਦੱਸਣ ਗੀਆਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ। ਪ੍ਰੀਤ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਣਦਾ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the God, there is no love and affection; but with her True God, she abides in peace.
10636 ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਸਜਨ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਮੇਲਾ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਹੁ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
Sach Man Sajan Santhokh Maelaa Guramathee Sahu Jaaniaa ||
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਸਬਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸਾਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਾਲ ਕੇ, ਮਾਲਕ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Through mental truthfulness and contentment, union with the True Friend is attained, through the Sathigur's Teachings, the Husband God.
10637 ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਛੋਡੈ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੀਆ ॥੨॥
Naanak Naam N Shhoddai Saa Dhhan Naam Sehaj Samaaneeaa ||2||
नानक नामु न छोडै सा धन नामि सहजि समाणीआ ॥२॥
ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦੇ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ||2||
Sathigur Nanak, that soul-bride who does not abandon the Naam, is intuitively absorbed in the Naam. ||2||
10638 ਮਿਲੁ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੜੀਹੋ ਹਮ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੇਹਾ ॥
Mil Sakhee Sehaelarreeho Ham Pir Raavaehaa ||
मिलु सखी सहेलड़ीहो हम पिरु रावेहा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਿਆਂ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ॥
Come, my friends and companions, let's enjoy our Husband God.
10639 ਗੁਰ ਪੁਛਿ ਲਿਖਉਗੀ ਜੀਉ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਨੇਹਾ ॥
Gur Pushh Likhougee Jeeo Sabadh Sanaehaa ||
गुर पुछि लिखउगी जीउ सबदि सनेहा ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਹੀ, ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਾਂਗੀ॥
I will ask the Sathigur, and write His Word as my love-note.
10640 ਸਬਦੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖੀ ਪਛੁਤਾਣੀਆ ॥
Sabadh Saachaa Gur Dhikhaaeiaa Manamukhee Pashhuthaaneeaa ||
सबदु साचा गुरि दिखाइआ मनमुखी पछुताणीआ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਰਾਹੀ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਭੱਟਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
The Sathigur has shown me the True Word of the Sathigur's Shabad. The self-willed manmukhs will regret and repent.
10641 ਨਿਕਸਿ ਜਾਤਉ ਰਹੈ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਜਾਮਿ ਸਚੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ॥
Nikas Jaatho Rehai Asathhir Jaam Sach Pashhaaniaa ||
निकसि जातउ रहै असथिरु जामि सचु पछाणिआ ॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਟਿੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ। ਜਦੋ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ॥
My wandering mind became steady, when I recognized the True One.
10642 ਸਾਚ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਉਤਨ ਸਬਦਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਨਵੇਲਓ ॥
Saach Kee Math Sadhaa Nouthan Sabadh Naehu Navaelou ||
साच की मति सदा नउतन सबदि नेहु नवेलओ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅੱਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੇ-ਤਾਜ਼ੇ ਗੁਣ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬੱਣਿਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Teachings of Truth are forever new; the love of the Shabad is forever fresh.
10643 ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਹੋ ॥੩॥

नानक नदरी सहजि साचा मिलहु सखी सहेलीहो ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ, ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਹੀ, ਭਗਤੋ ਪਿਆਰਿਉ, ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀਏ||3||
SathigurNanak, through the Glance of Grace of the True Lord, celestial peace is obtained; let's meet Him, my sisters and companions. ||3||
10644 ਮੇਰੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀ ਜੀਉ ਹਮ ਘਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਆਇਆ ॥
Maeree Eishh Punee Jeeo Ham Ghar Saajan Aaeiaa ||
मेरी इछ पुनी जीउ हम घरि साजनु आइआ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ, ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਆਏ ਹਨ॥
My desire has been fulfilled -my God has come to my body.
10645 ਮਿਲਿ ਵਰੁ ਨਾਰੀ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
Mil Var Naaree Mangal Gaaeiaa ||
मिलि वरु नारी मंगलु गाइआ ॥
ਪਿਅਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ, ਔਰਤ ਨੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਅੰਨਦ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਾਂਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ॥
At the Union of husband and wife, the songs of rejoicing were sung.
10646 ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਰਹਸੀ ਮੁੰਧ ਮਨਿ ਓਮਾਹਓ ॥
Gun Gaae Mangal Praem Rehasee Mundhh Man Oumaahou ||
गुण गाइ मंगलु प्रेमि रहसी मुंध मनि ओमाहओ ॥
ਅੰਨਦ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ, ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਖੁਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੱਚ ਉਠਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Singing the songs of joyful praise and love to God , the soul-bride's mind is thrilled and delighted.
10647 ਸਾਜਨ ਰਹੰਸੇ ਦੁਸਟ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਸਾਚੁ ਜਪਿ ਸਚੁ ਲਾਹਓ ॥
Saajan Rehansae Dhusatt Viaapae Saach Jap Sach Laahou ||
साजन रहंसे दुसट विआपे साचु जपि सचु लाहओ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਬੱਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਦੁਸ਼ਮੱਣ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਸੱਚੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥
My friends are happy, and my enemies are unhappy; meditating on the True God , the true profit is obtained.
10648 ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਸਿ ਭਿੰਨੀਆ ॥
Kar Jorr Saa Dhhan Karai Binathee Rain Dhin Ras Bhinneeaa ||
कर जोड़ि सा धन करै बिनती रैणि दिनु रसि भिंनीआ ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ, ਰੱਬ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੰਗਾ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਰਹੀਏ।
With her palms pressed together, the soul-bride prays, that she may remain immersed in the Love of her God , night and day.
10649 ਨਾਨਕ ਪਿਰੁ ਧਨ ਕਰਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਇਛ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
Naanak Pir Dhhan Karehi Raleeaa Eishh Maeree Punneeaa ||4||1||
नानक पिरु धन करहि रलीआ इछ मेरी पुंनीआ ॥४॥१॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ, ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਦੀਆ ਮੁਰਾਦਾ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ||4||1||
SathigurNanak, the Husband God and the soul-bride revel together; my desires are fulfilled. ||4||1||
