हरि

चेतहु अंति होइ सखाई ॥

ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ

ਕਰ ਜੋ ਅਖੀਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ, ਮਰਨ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Think of the Lord, who shall be your Help and Support in the end.

ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਅਨਾਥੁ ਅਜੋਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥

हरि

अगमु अगोचरु अनाथु अजोनी सतिगुर कै भाइ पावणिआ ॥१॥

ਉਸ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਉਪੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਿਆ, ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨ ਇੰਦਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਸਮਝ ਸੋਚ ਤੋਂ ਉਚਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਜਨਮ

-ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||1||
The Lord is Inaccessible and Incomprehensible. He has no master, and He is not born. He is obtained through love of the True Guru. ||1||

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਪੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਿਆ ॥

हउ

वारी जीउ वारी आपु निवारणिआ ॥

ਮੈਂ

ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਜਾਨ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who eliminate selfishness and conceit.

ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਜੇਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਟ ਦੇਵੇ

, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੁਖ ਅੰਨਦ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||1|| ਰਹਾਉ ||

गवाए ता हरि पाए हरि सिउ सहजि समावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

They eradicate selfishness and conceit, and then find the Lord; they are intuitively immersed in the Lord. ||1||Pause||

पूरबि

लिखिआ सु करमु कमाइआ ॥

ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਅਮਲ

ਕਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਧੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
According to their pre-ordained destiny, they act out their karma.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਨਾਂਮ ਜੱਪ ਕੇ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅੰਨਦ ਅਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Serving the True Guru, a lasting peace is found.

ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਬਦੈ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

Bin Bhaagaa Gur Paaeeai Naahee Sabadhai Mael Milaavaniaa ||2||

बिनु

भागा गुरु पाईऐ नाही सबदै मेलि मिलावणिआ ॥२॥

ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Without good fortune, the Guru is not found. Through the Word of the Shabad, they are united in the Lord's Union. ||2||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਰਹੈ ਸੰਸਾ ਰੇ ॥

गुरमुखि

अलिपतु रहै संसारे ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਕਹਿੱਣੇ

ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਇਸ ਉਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukhs remain unaffected in the midst of the world.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਤਕੀਐ ਨਾਮਿ ਅਧਾਰੇ ॥

गुर

कै तकीऐ नामि अधारे ॥

ਉਸ

ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਹੈ।
The Guru is their cushion, and the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is their Support.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪੇ ਖਪਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥

Guramukh Jor Karae Kiaa This No Aapae Khap Dhukh Paavaniaa ||3||

गुरमुखि

जोरु करे किआ तिस नो आपे खपि दुखु पावणिआ ॥३॥

ਊਸ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਕੌਣ ਧੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ

? ਜਾਬਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||3||
Who can oppress the Gurmukh? One who tries shall perish, writhing in pain. ||3||

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧੇ ਸੁਧਿ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥

मनमुखि

अंधे सुधि न काई ॥

ਮਨ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅੰਨੇ

ਅਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ।
The blind self-willed manmukhs have no understanding at all.

ਆਤਮ ਘਾਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਗਤ ਕਸਾਈ ॥

Aatham Ghaathee Hai Jagath Kasaaee ||

आतम

घाती है जगत कसाई ॥

ਊਹ

ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਜਹਾਨ ਦਾ ਜੱਲਾਦ ਹੈ।
They are the assassins of the self, and the butchers of the world.

ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਰੁ ਉਠਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਜੂਰੀ ਭਾਰੁ ਪਹੁਚਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥

Nindhaa Kar Kar Bahu Bhaar Outhaavai Bin Majooree Bhaar Pahuchaavaniaa ||4||

निंदा

करि करि बहु भारु उठावै बिनु मजूरी भारु पहुचावणिआ ॥४॥

ਹੋਰਨਾਂ

ਦੀਆ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਗੱਲਾਂ-ਬਾਤਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਊਹ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਬੋਝ ਊਠਾਉਂਦਾ। ਮਜਦੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਝ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
By continually slandering others, they carry a terrible load, and they carry the loads of others for nothing. ||4||

ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਵਾੜੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਲੀ ॥

Eihu Jag Vaarree Maeraa Prabh Maalee ||

इहु

जगु वाड़ी मेरा प्रभु माली ॥

ਇਹ

ਸੰਸਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਗ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਬਾਗਬਾਨ ਹੈ।
This world is a garden, and my Lord God is the Gardener.

ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ਖਾਲੀ ॥

Sadhaa Samaalae Ko Naahee Khaalee ||

सदा

समाले को नाही खाली ॥

ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ

ਹੀ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰਖਵਾਲੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ।
He always takes care of it-nothing is exempt from His Care.

ਜੇਹੀ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਪਾਏ ਤੇਹੀ ਵਰਤੈ ਵਾਸੂ ਵਾਸੁ ਜਣਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥

Jaehee Vaasanaa Paaeae Thaehee Varathai Vaasoo Vaas Janaavaniaa ||5||

जेही

वासना पाए तेही वरतै वासू वासु जणावणिआ ॥५॥

ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਮਹਿਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ, ਫੁੱਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਬਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਖੁਸ਼ਬੋਦਾਰ ਜੀਵ ਫੁੱਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਬੋ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||5||
As is the fragrance which He bestows, so is the fragrant flower known. ||5||

ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਰੋਗੀ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥

Manamukh Rogee Hai Sansaaraa ||

मनमुखु

रोगी है संसारा ॥

ਮਨ

ਮਤੀਆ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukhs are sick and diseased in the world.

ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥

Sukhadhaathaa Visariaa Agam Apaaraa ||

सुखदाता

विसरिआ अगम अपारा ॥

ਊਨਾਂ

ਮਨ ਮਤੀਆ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਜੋ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ , ਆਰਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
They have forgotten the Giver of peace, the Unfathomable, the Infinite.

ਦੁਖੀਏ ਨਿਤਿ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਬਿਲਲਾਦੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

Dhukheeeae Nith Firehi Bilalaadhae Bin Gur Saanth N Paavaniaa ||6||

दुखीए

निति फिरहि बिललादे बिनु गुर सांति न पावणिआ ॥६॥

ਦਰਦ ਪੀੜਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਪਿੱਟਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੰਢ

-ਚੈਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ||6||
These miserable people wander endlessly, crying out in pain; without the Guru, they find no peace. ||6||

ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਤੇ ਸੋਈ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਣੈ ॥

Jin Keethae Soee Bidhh Jaanai ||

जिनि

कीते सोई बिधि जाणै ॥

ਜਿਸ

ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਊਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿਸ਼, ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
The One who created them, knows their condition.

ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥

Aap Karae Thaa Hukam Pashhaanai ||

आपि

करे ता हुकमि पछाणै ॥

ਜੇਕਰ

ਸਾਈਂ ਖੁਦ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ਤਦ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ, ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
And if He inspires them, then they realize the Hukam of His Command.

ਜੇਹਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਤੇਹਾ ਵਰਤੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥

Jaehaa Andhar Paaeae Thaehaa Varathai Aapae Baahar Paavaniaa ||7||

जेहा

अंदरि पाए तेहा वरतै आपे बाहरि पावणिआ ॥७॥

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਰੱਬ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਈਂ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਐਸੇ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਟ ਸੁਟਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ।

Whatever He places within them, that is what prevails, and so they outwardly appear. ||7||

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਚੇ ਮੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥

This Baajhahu Sachae Mai Hor N Koee ||

तिसु

बाझहु सचे मै होरु न कोई ॥

ਉਸ

ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ, ਮੈਂਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ।
I know of no other except the True One.

ਜਿਸੁ ਲਾਇ ਲਏ ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਈ ॥

Jis Laae Leae So Niramal Hoee ||

जिसु

लाइ लए सो निरमलु होई ॥

ਜਿਸ

ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਾਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those, whom the Lord attaches to Himself, become pure.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੪॥੧੫॥

नामु वसै घट अंतरि जिसु देवै सो पावणिआ ॥८॥१४॥१५॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ। ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੋਤ ਜਗਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ

, ਉਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ||8||14||15||
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides deep within the heart of those, unto whom He has given it. ||8||14||15||

Enshrining the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, in the mind,

ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥

Houmai Maeraa Sabh Dhukh Gavaaeae ||

हउमै

मेरा सभु दुखु गवाए ॥

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ

, ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਮਾਂਣ, ਸਾਰੇ ਦਰਦ ਪੀੜਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
All the pains of egotism, selfishness and conceit are eliminated.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥

अम्रित

बाणी सदा सलाहे अम्रिति अम्रितु पावणिआ ॥१॥

ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਰਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਮਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਜਾਨ ਸਦਕੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨਹਾਰ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੱਪਦਾ, ਸੁਣਦਾ, ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਊਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਰਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||1|| ਰਹਾਉ ||

बोलै सदा मुखि वैणी ॥

ਊਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਰਗੇ

ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਊਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who continually chant the Ambrosial Words of Nectar see

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਪਰਖੈ ਸਦਾ ਨੈਣੀ ॥

Anmrith Vaekhai Parakhai Sadhaa Nainee ||

अम्रितु

वेखै परखै सदा नैणी ॥

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ

ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਦੇ, ਪਛਾਣਦੇ, ਬਿਚਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

And behold this Amrit everywhere with their eyes.

ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ

, ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||2||
They continually chant the Ambrosial Sermon day and night; chanting it, they cause others to hear it. ||2||

रंगि रता लिव लाए ॥

ਸੁਆਮੀ

ਦੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੇ ਸਨੇਹ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Imbued with the Ambrosial Love of the Lord, they lovingly focus their attention on Him.

गुर परसादी पाए ॥

ਸੁਆਮੀ

ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ, ਊਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
By Guru's Grace, they receive this Amrit.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਬੋਲੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥

Anmrith Rasanaa Bolai Dhin Raathee Man Than Anmrith Peeaavaniaa ||3||

अम्रितु

रसना बोलै दिनु राती मनि तनि अम्रितु पीआवणिआ ॥३॥

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ

ਊਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ। ਊਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਹਨ। ||3||
They chant the Ambrosial Name with their tongues day and night; their minds and bodies are satisfied by this Amrit. ||3||

ਸੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਜੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥

किछु करै जु चिति न होई ॥

ਗੁਰੂ

ਊਹ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਖਾਬ ਖਿਆਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
That which God does is beyond anyone's consciousness;

ਤਿਸ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੇਟਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਈ ॥

तिस

दा हुकमु मेटि न सकै कोई ॥

ਉਸ

ਦਾ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਟ-ਢਾਹ-ਖ਼ਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
No one can erase the Hukam of His Command.

ਹੁਕਮੇ ਵਰਤੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥

Hukamae Varathai Anmrith Baanee Hukamae Anmrith Peeaavaniaa ||4||

हुकमे

वरतै अम्रित बाणी हुकमे अम्रितु पीआवणिआ ॥४॥

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ

, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਰਜੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਚੱਲਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਪਦਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ। ||4||

By His Command, the Ambrosial Bani of the Word prevails, and by His Command, we drink in the Amrit. ||4||

ਅਜਬ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਰੇ ॥

Ajab Kanm Karathae Har Kaerae ||

अजब

कम करते हरि केरे ॥

ਉਸ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਦੇ

ਕਰਤਬ, ਕੰਮ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਚੋਜ਼ ਹਨ।
The actions of the Creator Lord are marvellous and wonderful.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭੂਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਫੇਰੇ ॥

Eihu Man Bhoolaa Jaandhaa Faerae ||

इहु

मनु भूला जांदा फेरे ॥

ਇਹ

ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁੰਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਆਵਾਗਉਣ ਦੇ ਗੇੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਸਿਧੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

This mind is deluded, and goes around the wheel of reincarnation.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥

Anmrith Baanee Sio Chith Laaeae Anmrith Sabadh Vajaavaniaa ||5||

अम्रित

बाणी सिउ चितु लाए अम्रित सबदि वजावणिआ ॥५॥

ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਉਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਊਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
