Sabadh Marai Man Maarai Apunaa Mukathee Kaa Dhar Paavaniaa ||3||

सबदि

मरै मनु मारै अपुना मुकती का दरु पावणिआ ॥३॥

ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਹ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਮੁੱਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। । 3||
Those who die in the Shabad and subdue their own minds, obtain the door of liberation. ||3||

ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕਾਟੈ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥

Kilavikh Kaattai Krodhh Nivaarae ||

किलविख

काटै क्रोधु निवारे ॥

ਉਹ

ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਮੇਟ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਟ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

They erase their sins, and eliminate their anger;

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਖੈ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥

गुर

का सबदु रखै उर धारे ॥

ਜੋ

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ,ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
They keep the Guru's Shabad clasped tightly to their hearts.

ਸਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥

Sach Rathae Sadhaa Bairaagee Houmai Maar Milaavaniaa ||4||

सचि

रते सदा बैरागी हउमै मारि मिलावणिआ ॥४॥

ਜੋ ਸੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹਨ

, ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਈਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ||4||
Those who are attuned to Truth, remain balanced and detached forever. Subduing their egotism, they are united with the Lord. ||4||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥

अंतरि

रतनु मिलै मिलाइआ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ

ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾਂ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
Deep within the nucleus of the self is the jewel; we receive it only if the Lord inspires us to receive it.

ਤ੍ਰਿਬਿਧਿ ਮਨਸਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਬਿਧਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥

Thribidhh Manasaa Thribidhh Maaeiaa ||

त्रिबिधि

मनसा त्रिबिधि माइआ ॥

ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸੁਭਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਚਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The mind is bound by the three dispositions-the three modes of Maya.

ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਮੋਨੀ ਥਕੇ ਚਉਥੇ ਪਦ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥

पड़ि पंडित मोनी थके चउथे पद की सार न पावणिआ ॥५॥

ਪੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਚ ਕੇ ਪੰਡਤ,

ਸਮਾਧੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ, ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਊਹ ਚੌਥੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਤੇ। ਨਾਂਮ ਅੰਨਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ। ||5||
Reading and reciting, the Pandits, the religious scholars, and the silent sages have grown weary, but they have not found the supreme essence of the fourth state. ||5||

ਆਪੇ ਰੰਗੇ ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਾਏ ॥

आपे

रंगे रंगु चड़ाए ॥

ਸਾਈਂ

ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਹ ਨਾਂਮ ਦੀ ਰੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord Himself dyes us in the color of His Love.

ਸੇ ਜਨ ਰਾਤੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਰੰਗਾਏ ॥

से

जन राते गुर सबदि रंगाए ॥

ਇਸ

ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼, ਜੋ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹਨ।
Only those who are steeped in the Word of the Guru's Shabad are so imbued with His Love.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਿਆ ਅਤਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

Har Rang Charriaa Ath Apaaraa Har Ras Ras Gun Gaavaniaa ||6||

हरि

रंगु चड़िआ अति अपारा हरि रसि रसि गुण गावणिआ ॥६॥

ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮ

-ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਅਖਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਜੱਪ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ||6||

Imbued with the most beautiful color of the Lord's Love, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, with great pleasure and joy. ||6||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਸੋਈ ॥

गुरमुखि

रिधि सिधि सचु संजमु सोई ॥

ਗੁਰੂ

ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਬੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
To the Gurmukh, the True Lord is wealth, miraculous spiritual powers and strict self-discipline.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥

Guramukh Giaan Naam Mukath Hoee ||

गुरमुखि

गिआनु नामि मुकति होई ॥

ਸੱਚਾ

ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਨਾਸਵਾਨ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the spiritual wisdom of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Gurmukh is liberated.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਾਰ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥

Guramukh Kaar Sach Kamaavehi Sachae Sach Samaavaniaa ||7||

गुरमुखि

कार सचु कमावहि सचे सचि समावणिआ ॥७॥

ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮ ਸਚਿਆਰ ਰੱਬ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਥਾਪੇ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪੇ ॥

गुरमुखि

थापे थापि उथापे ॥

ਸੱਚਾ

ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰਚ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh realizes that the Lord alone creates, and having created, He destroys.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ॥

गुरमुखि

जाति पति सभु आपे ॥

ਗੁਰੂ

ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਈਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ।
To the Gurmukh, the Lord Himself is social class, status and all honor.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੨॥੧੩॥

गुरमुखि नामु धिआए नामे नामि समावणिआ ॥८॥१२॥१३॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਜੱਪਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ

-ਸਰੂਪ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||8||12||13||

O Nanak, the Gurmukhs meditate on the Naam; through the Naam, they merge in the Naam. ||8||12||13||

ਕਿਆਮਤ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Creation and destruction happen through the Word of the Shabad.

ਸਬਦੇ ਹੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਓਪਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ॥

सबदे

ही फिरि ओपति होवै ॥

ਬਚਨ

ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਤਪਤੀ ਮੁੜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਬੱਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
Through the Shabad, creation happens again.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥

Guramukh Varathai Sabh Aapae Sachaa Guramukh Oupaae Samaavaniaa ||1||

गुरमुखि

वरतै सभु आपे सचा गुरमुखि उपाइ समावणिआ ॥१॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ

-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਭਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||1||
The Gurmukh knows that the True Lord is all-pervading. The Gurmukh understands creation and merger. ||1||

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥

हउ

वारी जीउ वारी गुरु पूरा मंनि वसावणिआ ॥

ਮੈਂ

ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who enshrine the Perfect Guru within their minds.

ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਤਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਣ ਕਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ते साति भगति करे दिनु राती गुण कहि गुणी समावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਠੰਢ

-ਚੈਨ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਘਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ||1|| ਰਹਾਉ ||

From the Guru comes peace and tranquility; worship Him with devotion, day and night. Chanting His Glorious Praises, merge into the Glorious Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਣੀ ॥

Guramukh Dhharathee Guramukh Paanee ||

गुरमुखि

धरती गुरमुखि पाणी ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਜਾਂਣਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਮੀਨ, ਜਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh sees the Lord on the earth, and the Gurmukh sees Him in the water.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਵਣੁ ਬੈਸੰਤਰੁ ਖੇਲੈ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ॥

Guramukh Pavan Baisanthar Khaelai Viddaanee ||

गुरमुखि

पवणु बैसंतरु खेलै विडाणी ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ

ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਵਾ ਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh sees Him in wind and fire; such is the wonder of His Play.

ਸੋ ਨਿਗੁਰਾ ਜੋ ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਨਿਗੁਰੇ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

So Niguraa Jo Mar Mar Janmai Nigurae Aavan Jaavaniaa ||2||

सो

निगुरा जो मरि मरि जमै निगुरे आवण जावणिआ ॥२॥

ਜੋ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ

, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ||2||
One who has no Guru, dies over and over again, only to be re-born. One who has no Guru continues coming and going in reincarnation. ||2||

ਤਿਨਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਇਕੁ ਖੇਲੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥

तिनि

करतै इकु खेलु रचाइआ ॥

ਉਸ

ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਟਕ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
The One Creator has set this play in motion.

ਕਾਇਆ ਸਰੀਰੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

Kaaeiaa Sareerai Vich Sabh Kishh Paaeiaa ||

काइआ

सरीरै विचि सभु किछु पाइआ ॥

ਮਨੁੱਖੀ

ਦੇਹਿ ਸਰੀਰ ਅੰਦਰ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
In the frame of the human body, He has placed all things.

ਸਬਦਿ ਭੇਦਿ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਏ ਮਹਲੇ ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥

Sabadh Bhaedh Koee Mehal Paaeae Mehalae Mehal Bulaavaniaa ||3||

सबदि

भेदि कोई महलु पाए महले महलि बुलावणिआ ॥३॥

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਨਿੰਆ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਐਸੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Those few who are pierced through by the Word of the Shabad, obtain the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. He calls them into His Wondrous Palace. ||3||

ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਚੇ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ॥

Sachaa Saahu Sachae Vanajaarae ||

सचा

साहु सचे वणजारे ॥

ਰੱਬ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ

ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਜੀਵ ਊਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਹਨ।

True is the Banker, and true are His traders.

ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਹੇਤਿ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥

सचु

वणंजहि गुर हेति अपारे ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ

ਦੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਸਤ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
They purchase Truth, with infinite love for the Guru.

ਸਚੁ ਵਿਹਾਝਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥

विहाझहि सचु कमावहि सचो सचु कमावणिआ ॥४॥

ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਊਹ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ।

Without investment capital, how can anyone acquire merchandise?

-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਭ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs have all gone astray.

ਬਿਨੁ ਰਾਸੀ ਸਭ ਖਾਲੀ ਚਲੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਜਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥

बिनु

रासी सभ खाली चले खाली जाइ दुखु पावणिआ ॥५॥

ਨਾਮ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੱਖਣੇ

-ਹੱਥੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਖਾਲੀ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਨਾਂਮ ਤੋਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਊਠਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ||5||

Without true wealth, everyone goes empty-handed; going empty-handed, they suffer in pain. ||5||

ਇਕਿ ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਆਪਿ ਤਰਹਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੇ ॥

Aap Tharehi Sagalae Kul Thaarae ||

आपि

तरहि सगले कुल तारे ॥

ਉਹ ਆਪ ਤਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

They save themselves, and save all their ancestors as well.

ਆਏ ਸੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੋਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥

आए

से परवाणु होए मिलि प्रीतम सुखु पावणिआ ॥६॥

ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ

-ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਚਿੰਤ, ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ||6||
Very auspicious is the coming of those who meet their Beloved and find peace. ||6||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਮੂੜਾ ਬਾਹਰੁ ਭਾਲੇ ॥

वसतु मूड़ा बाहरु भाले ॥

ਰੱਬ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਮਨ

ਅੰਦਰਵਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਾਹਰਵਾਰ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ।
Deep within the self is the secret, but the fool looks for it outside.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਬੇਤਾਲੇ ॥

अंधे फिरहि बेताले ॥

ਅਧਰਮੀ ਭੂਤਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਭੱਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The blind self-willed manmukhs wander around like demons;

ਜਿਥੈ ਵਥੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਿਥਹੁ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥

Jithhai Vathh Hovai Thithhahu Koe N Paavai Manamukh Bharam Bhulaavaniaa ||7||

जिथै

वथु होवै तिथहु कोइ न पावै मनमुख भरमि भुलावणिआ ॥७॥

ਜਿਥੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦੀ ਵੱਡਮੂਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ

, ਉਥੋਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਕਰਦਾ। ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਸ਼ੁਭੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੱਟਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ||7||
But where the secret is, there, they do not find it. The manmukhs are deluded by doubt. ||7||

ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੁਲਾਏ ॥

आपे

देवै सबदि बुलाए ॥

ਸਾਈਂ

ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He Himself calls us, and bestows the Word of the Shabad.

महलि सहज सुखु पाए ॥

ਜੀਵ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ

ਮੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਅੰਨਦ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The soul-bride finds intuitive peace and poise in the Mansion of the Lord's Presence.

ਨਾਂਮ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, she obtains the glorious greatness of the Naam; she hears it again and again, ||8||13||14||

and she meditates on it. ||8||13||14||
