Birth, old age and death are in His Power.

बिपति तहा जहा हरि सिमरनु नाही ॥
ਮਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਉਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ॥
Misfortune occurs where the Lord is not remembered in meditation.
8522 ਕੋਟਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਜਹ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਹੀ ॥੧॥

ਉਨਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੋੜਾ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਅੰਨਦ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ||1||
There are millions of joys where the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung. ||1||
8523 ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਿਐ ਦੁਖ ਰੋਗ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥
Har Bisariai Dhukh Rog Ghanaerae ||
हरि बिसरिऐ दुख रोग घनेरे ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਦਰਦ-ਪੀੜਾਂ, ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਆ ਘੇਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ॥
Forgetting the Lord, all sorts of pains and diseases come.
8524 ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਮੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਨੇਰੇ ॥੨॥

प्रभ सेवा जमु लगै न नेरे ॥२॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਮਦੂਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ||2||
Serving God, the Messenger of Death will not even approach you. ||2||
8525 ਸੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
So Vaddabhaagee Nihachal Thhaan ||
सो वडभागी निहचल थानु ॥
ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ॥
Very blessed, stable and sublime is that place.
8526 ਜਹ ਜਪੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੩॥

Wherever I go, my Lord and Master is with me.

ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਵੱਡੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਦੋਂਨੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂਣੇ ਜਾਦੇ ਹਨ ||1||

The One Lord is my hope, honor, power and wealth.

Within my mind is the Support of the True Banker. ||3||

I am the poorest and most helpless servant of the Holy.

8491 ਜਮ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥

जम का मारगु द्रिसटि न आइआ ॥२॥
ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਮਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਬੱਣ ਗਿਆ ||2||
I no longer have to gaze upon the way of death. ||2||

In thought, word and deed, seek the Support of the Lord of the Universe.

ता ते छुटिओ बिखु संसारु ॥३॥
ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||
Thus you shall be saved from the poisonous world-ocean. ||3||

Granting His Grace, God has made me His Own.

Seek the Sanctuary of those who have come to know the Lord.

ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ-ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੰਡੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ||1||
Your mind and body shall become cool and peaceful, imbued with the Feet of the Lord. ||1||

If God, the Destroyer of fear, does not dwell within your mind.

सगल मनोरथ ता के पूरन काम ॥२॥
ਉਸ ਦੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||

ਸਾਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਜੰਮਣਾਂ, ਮਰਨਾਂ, ਬਚਪੱਨ ਤੋਂ ਬੁੱਢਾਪੇ ਤੱਕ, ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ॥
Birth, old age and death are in His Power.

Misfortune occurs where the Lord is not remembered in meditation.

हरि बिसरिऐ दुख रोग घनेरे ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਦਰਦ-ਪੀੜਾਂ, ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਆ ਘੇਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ॥
Forgetting the Lord, all sorts of pains and diseases come.
8524 ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਮੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਨੇਰੇ ॥੨॥

प्रभ सेवा जमु लगै न नेरे ॥२॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਮਦੂਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ||2||
Serving God, the Messenger of Death will not even approach you. ||2||
8525 ਸੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
So Vaddabhaagee Nihachal Thhaan ||
सो वडभागी निहचल थानु ॥
ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ॥
Very blessed, stable and sublime is that place.

Where the Name of God alone is chanted. ||3||

जह जाईऐ तह नालि मेरा सुआमी ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Wherever I go, my Lord and Master is with me.

पड़िआ अणपड़िआ परम गति पावै ॥१॥
ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਵੱਡੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਦੋਂਨੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂਣੇ ਜਾਦੇ ਹਨ ||1||
Whether educated or uneducated, obtains the state of supreme dignity. ||1||
