ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਭੱਟਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਅੱਕਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਵੇ॥
Mother, if only someone would instruct my wayward mind.
9473 ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਾਧ ਮਗ ਸੁਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

बेद पुरान साध मग सुनि करि निमख न हरि गुन गावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਮਨ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਭੋਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥his mind listens to the Vedas, the Puraanas, and the ways of the Holy Saints, but it does not sing the Glorious Praises of the God, for even an instant. ||1||Pause||
9474 ਦੁਰਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਪਾਇ ਮਾਨਸ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਿਰਾਵੈ ॥
Dhuralabh Dhaeh Paae Maanas Kee Birathhaa Janam Siraavai ||
दुरलभ देह पाइ मानस की बिरथा जनमु सिरावै ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਸਾਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਬੇਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ॥
Having obtained this human body, so very difficult to obtain, it is now being uselessly wasted.
9475 ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਮਹਾ ਸੰਕਟ ਬਨ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੁਚ ਉਪਜਾਵੈ ॥੧॥

माइआ मोह महा संकट बन ता सिउ रुच उपजावै ॥१॥
ਇਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਧੰਨ-ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Emotional attachment to Maya is such a treacherous wilderness, and yet, people are in love with it. ||1||
9476 ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ ਨ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
Anthar Baahar Sadhaa Sang Prabh Thaa Sio Naehu N Laavai ||
अंतरि बाहरि सदा संगि प्रभु ता सिउ नेहु न लावै ॥
ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Inwardly and outwardly, God is always with them, and yet, they do not enshrine Love for Him.
9477 ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਜਿਹ ਘਟਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੬॥

Lobh Moh Maaeiaa Mamathaa Fun Ao Bikhian Kee Saevaa ||
लोभ मोह माइआ ममता फुनि अउ बिखिअन की सेवा ॥
ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ, ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ॥
Greed, emotional attachment to Maya, possessiveness, the service of evil, pleasure and pain.
9482 ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਪਰਸੈ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਹਨਿ ਸੋ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੧॥
Harakh Sog Parasai Jih Naahan So Moorath Hai Dhaevaa ||1||
हरख सोग परसै जिह नाहनि सो मूरति है देवा ॥१॥
ਗੁੱਸਾ, ਉਦਾਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ||1||
Those who are not touched by these, are the very embodiment of the Divine God.

9483 ਸੁਰਗ ਨਰਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਿਖੁ ਏ ਸਭ ਤਿਉ ਕੰਚਨ ਅਰੁ ਪੈਸਾ ॥
Surag Narak Anmrith Bikh Eae Sabh Thio Kanchan Ar Paisaa ||
सुरग नरक अम्रित बिखु ए सभ तिउ कंचन अरु पैसा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੁਖ-ਅੰਨਦ ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਨਰਕ, ਮਿੱਠਾ ਰਸ, ਕੋੜੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਸੋਨਾਂ, ਤਾਂਬਾਂ ਸਬ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹਨ।
Heaven and hell, ambrosial nectar and poison, gold and copper, these are all alike to them.
9484 ਉਸਤਤਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਏ ਸਮ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਫੁਨਿ ਤੈਸਾ ॥੨॥
Ousathath Nindhaa Eae Sam Jaa Kai Lobh Mohu Fun Thaisaa ||2||
उसतति निंदा ए सम जा कै लोभु मोहु फुनि तैसा ॥२॥
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡਿਆਈ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ, ਬੁਰੀਆ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹੀਆਂ, ਲਾਲਚ, ਪਿਆਰ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ||2||
Praise and slander are all the same to them, as are greed and attachment. ||2||
9485 ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਏ ਬਾਧੇ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਹਨਿ ਤਿਹ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਨਉ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
Dhukh Sukh Eae Baadhhae Jih Naahan Thih Thum Jaano Giaanee ||
दुखु सुखु ए बाधे जिह नाहनि तिह तुम जानउ गिआनी ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦਰਦ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਕਲ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝੋ॥
They are not bound by pleasure and pain, know that they are truly wise.
9486 ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਨਉ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੋ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ॥੩॥੭॥
Naanak Mukath Thaahi Thum Maano Eih Bidhh Ko Jo Praanee ||3||7||
नानक मुकति ताहि तुम मानउ इह बिधि को जो प्रानी ॥३॥७॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਝੰਜਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਣ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||7||
Sathigur Nanak, recognize those mortal beings as liberated, who live this way of life. ||3||7||

Mind, why have you gone crazy?
9489 ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਅਉਧ ਘਟੈ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੈ ਭਇਓ ਲੋਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਉਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਮਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਹਿਤ-ਮੱਤ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਹੈ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Don't you know that your life is decreasing, day and night? Your life is made worthless with greed. ||1||Pause||
9490 ਜੋ ਤਨੁ ਤੈ ਅਪਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਿਓ ਅਰੁ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥

जो तनु तै अपनो करि मानिओ अरु सुंदर ग्रिह नारी ॥
ਜਿਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ, ਘਰ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਦੇ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ॥
That body, which you believe to be your own, and your beautiful home and spouse
9491 ਇਨ ਮੈਂ ਕਛੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਰੇ ਨਾਹਨਿ ਦੇਖੋ ਸੋਚ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
Ein Main Kashh Thaero Rae Naahan Dhaekho Soch Bichaaree ||1||
इन मैं कछु तेरो रे नाहनि देखो सोच बिचारी ॥१॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਸਬ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਖੋਲ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਲੈ||1||
None of these is yours to keep. See this, reflect upon it and understand. ||1||
9492 ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਨੋ ਤੈ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
Rathan Janam Apano Thai Haariou Gobindh Gath Nehee Jaanee ||
रतन जनमु अपनो तै हारिओ गोबिंद गति नही जानी ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਰਤਨ ਵਰਗਾ, ਜਨਮ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਆ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ॥
You have wasted the precious jewel of this human life; you do not know the Way of the God of the Universe.
9493 ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਲੀਨ ਭਇਓ ਚਰਨਨ ਸਿਂਉ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਅਉਧ ਸਿਰਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
Nimakh N Leen Bhaeiou Charanan Sino Birathhaa Aoudhh Siraanee ||2||
निमख न लीन भइओ चरनन सिंउ बिरथा अउध सिरानी ॥२॥
ਇੱਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋੜਦਾ। ਬੇਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਹੈ ||2||
You have not been absorbed in the Lord's Feet, even for an instant. Your life has passed away in vain! ||2||
9494 ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਈ ਨਰੁ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
Kahu Naanak Soee Nar Sukheeaa Raam Naam Gun Gaavai ||
कहु नानक सोई नरु सुखीआ राम नाम गुन गावै ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ-ਰੱਬ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Says Sathigur Nanak, that man is happy, who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name.
9495 ਅਉਰ ਸਗਲ ਜਗੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥੮॥
Aour Sagal Jag Maaeiaa Mohiaa Nirabhai Padh Nehee Paavai ||3||8||
अउर सगल जगु माइआ मोहिआ निरभै पदु नही पावै ॥३॥८॥
ਹੋਰ ਤਾਂ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਜਿਥੇ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ||3||8||
All the rest of the world is enticed by Maya; they do not obtain the state of fearless dignity. ||3||8||

पावन नामु जगति मै हरि को सिमरि सिमरि कसमल सभ हरु रे ॥१॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਬ-ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਚਾਰ, ਪੜ੍ਹ, ਗਾ ਕੇ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇ ||1||

मानस देह बहुरि नह पावै कछू उपाउ मुकति का करु रे ॥
ਇਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਣਾਂ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ਤਨ ਕਰ ਲੈ॥
You shall not obtain this human body again; make the effort, try to achieve liberation;

ਮਨ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਭੋਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥his mind listens to the Vedas, the Puraanas, and the ways of the Holy Saints, but it does not sing the Glorious Praises of the God, for even an instant. ||1||Pause||
9474 ਦੁਰਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਪਾਇ ਮਾਨਸ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਿਰਾਵੈ ॥

दुरलभ देह पाइ मानस की बिरथा जनमु सिरावै ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਸਾਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਬੇਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ॥
Having obtained this human body, so very difficult to obtain, it is now being uselessly wasted.
9475 ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਮਹਾ ਸੰਕਟ ਬਨ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੁਚ ਉਪਜਾਵੈ ॥੧॥

माइआ मोह महा संकट बन ता सिउ रुच उपजावै ॥१॥
ਇਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਧੰਨ-ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Emotional attachment to Maya is such a treacherous wilderness, and yet, people are in love with it. ||1||

Inwardly and outwardly, God is always with them, and yet, they do not enshrine Love for Him.

लोभ मोह माइआ ममता फुनि अउ बिखिअन की सेवा ॥
ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ, ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ॥
Greed, emotional attachment to Maya, possessiveness, the service of evil, pleasure and pain.
9482 ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਪਰਸੈ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਹਨਿ ਸੋ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੧॥
Harakh Sog Parasai Jih Naahan So Moorath Hai Dhaevaa ||1||
हरख सोग परसै जिह नाहनि सो मूरति है देवा ॥१॥
ਗੁੱਸਾ, ਉਦਾਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ||1||
Those who are not touched by these, are the very embodiment of the Divine God.

9483 ਸੁਰਗ ਨਰਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਿਖੁ ਏ ਸਭ ਤਿਉ ਕੰਚਨ ਅਰੁ ਪੈਸਾ ॥
Surag Narak Anmrith Bikh Eae Sabh Thio Kanchan Ar Paisaa ||
सुरग नरक अम्रित बिखु ए सभ तिउ कंचन अरु पैसा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੁਖ-ਅੰਨਦ ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਨਰਕ, ਮਿੱਠਾ ਰਸ, ਕੋੜੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਸੋਨਾਂ, ਤਾਂਬਾਂ ਸਬ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹਨ।
Heaven and hell, ambrosial nectar and poison, gold and copper, these are all alike to them.
9484 ਉਸਤਤਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਏ ਸਮ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਫੁਨਿ ਤੈਸਾ ॥੨॥
Ousathath Nindhaa Eae Sam Jaa Kai Lobh Mohu Fun Thaisaa ||2||
उसतति निंदा ए सम जा कै लोभु मोहु फुनि तैसा ॥२॥
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡਿਆਈ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ, ਬੁਰੀਆ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹੀਆਂ, ਲਾਲਚ, ਪਿਆਰ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ||2||
Praise and slander are all the same to them, as are greed and attachment. ||2||
9485 ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਏ ਬਾਧੇ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਹਨਿ ਤਿਹ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਨਉ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
Dhukh Sukh Eae Baadhhae Jih Naahan Thih Thum Jaano Giaanee ||
दुखु सुखु ए बाधे जिह नाहनि तिह तुम जानउ गिआनी ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦਰਦ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਕਲ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝੋ॥
They are not bound by pleasure and pain, know that they are truly wise.
9486 ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਨਉ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੋ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ॥੩॥੭॥

नानक मुकति ताहि तुम मानउ इह बिधि को जो प्रानी ॥३॥७॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਝੰਜਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਣ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||7||

Don't you know that your life is decreasing, day and night? Your life is made worthless with greed. ||1||Pause||

That body, which you believe to be your own, and your beautiful home and spouse
9491 ਇਨ ਮੈਂ ਕਛੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਰੇ ਨਾਹਨਿ ਦੇਖੋ ਸੋਚ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥੧॥

इन मैं कछु तेरो रे नाहनि देखो सोच बिचारी ॥१॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਸਬ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਖੋਲ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਲੈ||1||
None of these is yours to keep. See this, reflect upon it and understand. ||1||
9492 ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਨੋ ਤੈ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
Rathan Janam Apano Thai Haariou Gobindh Gath Nehee Jaanee ||
रतन जनमु अपनो तै हारिओ गोबिंद गति नही जानी ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਰਤਨ ਵਰਗਾ, ਜਨਮ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਆ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ॥
You have wasted the precious jewel of this human life; you do not know the Way of the God of the Universe.
9493 ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਲੀਨ ਭਇਓ ਚਰਨਨ ਸਿਂਉ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਅਉਧ ਸਿਰਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
Nimakh N Leen Bhaeiou Charanan Sino Birathhaa Aoudhh Siraanee ||2||
निमख न लीन भइओ चरनन सिंउ बिरथा अउध सिरानी ॥२॥
ਇੱਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋੜਦਾ। ਬੇਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਹੈ ||2||
You have not been absorbed in the Lord's Feet, even for an instant. Your life has passed away in vain! ||2||
9494 ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਈ ਨਰੁ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
Kahu Naanak Soee Nar Sukheeaa Raam Naam Gun Gaavai ||
कहु नानक सोई नरु सुखीआ राम नाम गुन गावै ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ-ਰੱਬ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Says Sathigur Nanak, that man is happy, who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name.
9495 ਅਉਰ ਸਗਲ ਜਗੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥੮॥

ਹੋਰ ਤਾਂ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਜਿਥੇ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ||3||8||
All the rest of the world is enticed by Maya; they do not obtain the state of fearless dignity. ||3||8||

बेद पुरान जास गुन गावत ता को नामु हीऐ मो धरु रे ॥
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੀਏ॥

पावन नामु जगति मै हरि को सिमरि सिमरि कसमल सभ हरु रे ॥१॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਬ-ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਚਾਰ, ਪੜ੍ਹ, ਗਾ ਕੇ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇ ||1||
Pure and sublime is the Name of the Lord in the world. Remembering it in meditation, all sinful mistakes shall be washed away. ||1||
9501 ਮਾਨਸ ਦੇਹ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨਹ ਪਾਵੈ ਕਛੂ ਉਪਾਉ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਾ ਕਰੁ ਰੇ ॥
Maanas Dhaeh Bahur Neh Paavai Kashhoo Oupaao Mukath Kaa Kar Rae ||
मानस देह बहुरि नह पावै कछू उपाउ मुकति का करु रे ॥
ਇਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਣਾਂ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ਤਨ ਕਰ ਲੈ॥
You shall not obtain this human body again; make the effort, try to achieve liberation;

ਰੱਬ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ, ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼, ਜੀਵ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ॥
The Perfect God is All-pervading everywhere; He destroys the poison of Maya.

त्रिकुटी छूटी बिमल मझारि ॥
ਮੱਥੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਈਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਉੜੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਵੱਲ ਮੱਤ-ਬੁੱਧ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ॥
I am rid of the three-phased Maya, dwelling in the Pure God.
