ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨ ਫਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ॥
The duality of Maya dwells in the consciousness of the people of the world.

ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ, ਕਿਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਰੱਬ ਹੈ॥

The dual-minded evil intellect speaks of a second.
9634 ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ਮਰਿ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
Aavai Jaae Mar Dhoojaa Hoe ||2||
आवै जाइ मरि दूजा होइ ॥२॥
ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲੋ ਟੁੱਟ ਕੇ, ਬੰਦ-ਜੀਵ ਜੰਮਦਾ-ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||
One who harbors duality comes and goes and dies. ||2||
9635 ਧਰਣਿ ਗਗਨ ਨਹ ਦੇਖਉ ਦੋਇ ॥

धरणि गगन नह देखउ दोइ ॥
ਧਰਤੀ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ॥
In the earth and in the sky, I do not see any second. I seen onley God.

नारी पुरख सबाई लोइ ॥३॥
ਮਰਦ-ਔਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ ||3||
Among all the women and the men, His Light is shining. ||3||

रवि ससि देखउ दीपक उजिआला ॥
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦ, ਸਿਤਾਰੇ, ਚਾਨਣ ਦੇਖਦਾਂ ਹਾਂ॥
In the lamps of the sun and the moon, I see His Light.
9638 ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਬਾਲਾ ॥੪॥

सरब निरंतरि प्रीतमु बाला ॥४॥

ਇਧਰ-ਉਧਰ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ, ਬਿਚਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆਂ ਹਾਂ ||6||
Subduing duality, one comes to realize the Word of the Sathigur's Shabad. ||6||

एको हुकमु वरतै सभ लोई ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਕੋ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਭਾਣਾਂ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ॥
The Command of the One God. prevails throughout all the worlds.
9644 ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਓਪਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥੭॥

एकसु ते सभ ओपति होई ॥७॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੱਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ||7||
From the One, all have arisen. ||7||
9645 ਰਾਹ ਦੋਵੈ ਖਸਮੁ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੁ ॥
Raah Dhovai Khasam Eaeko Jaan ||
राह दोवै खसमु एको जाणु ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਰਾਹ ਹਨ। ਇਕੋ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਭਾਣਾਂ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ||7||
There are two routes, but remember that their God. and Master is only One.

He is contained in all forms, colors and minds.

9656 ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਏਕੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਉਦਿਆਨੈ ॥

रवि ससि एको ग्रिह उदिआनै ॥
ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦਰਮਾਂ, ਜੰਗਲ, ਘਰ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The sun and the moon are one and the same for them, as are household and wilderness.
9657 ਕਰਣੀ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕਰਮ ਸਮਾਨੈ ॥੩॥

करणी कीरति करम समानै ॥३॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨਾਂ, ਜੱਪਣਾਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ, ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਚਿਨ-ਚੇਤ ਆਪੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ||3||

भै रचि रहै न बाहरि जाइ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਂਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ॥
They remain absorbed in the fear of God; they never leave it.
9661 ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੫॥
Keemath Koun Rehai Liv Laae ||5||
कीमति कउण रहै लिव लाइ ॥५॥
ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ, ਵੱਡਮੁੱਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਣ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਂਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ||5||
Who can estimate their value? They remain lovingly absorbed in the God. ||5||
9662 ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥
Aapae Maelae Bharam Chukaaeae ||
आपे मेले भरमु चुकाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਆਪੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਡਰ ਵਿਹਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The God unites them with Himself, dispelling their doubts.
9663 ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੬॥

गुर परसादि परम पदु पाए ॥६॥
By Guru's Grace, the supreme status is obtained. ||6||

जप तप संजम पाठ पुराणु ॥
ਜੱਪਾ-ਜਾਪ ਬੰਨ ਕੇ ਕਰਨੇ, ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦੇਣੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨਾਂ, ਨਿਜ਼ਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਨੇ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਸਮਝੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Chanting, meditation, austere self-discipline and the reading of the Puraanas.

Disease does not afflict me, nor does the pain of death.

ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Night and day, they remain awake and aware, embracing love for the True God.

ਆਪ ਤੇ ਆਪਦੇ ਵੱਡ ਵੱਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਇਸ ਭਵਜੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||
They swim across, and save their ancestors as well. ||3||

Those who serve the True Sathigur are the Yogis.

भै रचि रहै सु निरभउ होइ ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਨਿਡਰ, ਡਰ-ਰਿਹਤ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who remain immersed in the Fear of God become fearless.

जैसा सेवै तैसो होइ ॥४॥
ਜੈਸੀ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ, ਜੱਪੀ, ਪੜ੍ਹੀ, ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ-ਜਿਹਾ ਫ਼ਲ, ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ||4||

अनाथह नाथ करे बलि जाउ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ, ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾਂ ਹਾਂ॥

9685 ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੫॥

पुनरपि जनमु नाही गुण गाउ ॥५॥
ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਜੰਮਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ। ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ||5||
Such a person is not reincarnated again; he sings the Glories of God. ||5||

अंतरि बाहरि एको जाणै ॥
ਬੰਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ, ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ, ਇਕੋ ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਮੰਨੇ॥
Inwardly and outwardly, he knows the One God.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ, ਮਰਨ ਪਿਛੋਂ, ਭੱਟਕਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ। ਆਸਰਾ ਬੱਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭੁੱਖੀ ਆਤਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਧਰਵਾਸ ਦੇਣ-ਭੁੱਖ ਮਿਟਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ||6||

ਜੋ ਬੰਦਾ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗੁਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਧੰਨ, ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਦਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਮੱਲ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥

काम क्रोध बिखु भूख पिआसा ॥
ਸਰੀਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ, ਗੁੱਸਾ, ਭੁੱਖਾਂ-ਪਿਆਰ, ਕਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਜਹਿਹ ਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਲ਼, ਸਾੜ, ਜੱਲ਼ਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ
By sexual desire, anger, corruption, hunger and thirst Killing the body .
9694 ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਰਲੇ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥੮॥੭॥

ਰੋਗ-ਦਰਦ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੁੰਦਿਆ ਹੀ, ਸਬ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ||1||

Wherever I look, there I find the True God .

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਐਸੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਜ਼ ਰੱਖ ਲਵੋ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ॥

9709 ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝੇ ਪਸੂ ਭਏ ਬੇਤਾਲੇ ॥੬॥

बिनु बूझे पसू भए बेताले ॥६॥
ਬਗੈਰ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਾਏ, ਬੰਦੇ ਵੀ ਡੰਗਰ, ਭੂਤਾਂ, ਚੜੇਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ ||6||
Without understanding, people become beasts and demons. ||6||
9710 ਗੁਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਦੂਜਾ ॥
Gur Kehiaa Avar Nehee Dhoojaa ||
गुरि कहिआ अवरु नही दूजा ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ॥
The Sathigur has said, only one God. that there is no other at all.
9711 ਕਿਸੁ ਕਹੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਕਰਉ ਅਨ ਪੂਜਾ ॥੭॥

किसु कहु देखि करउ अन पूजा ॥७॥
ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ, ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ, ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ||7||
So tell me, who should I see, and who should I worship? ||7||
9712 ਸੰਤ ਹੇਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਧਾਰੇ ॥

संत हेति प्रभि त्रिभवण धारे ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ, ਤਿੰਨ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬੱਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ॥
For the sake of the Sathigur's Saints, God has established the three worlds.
9713 ਆਤਮੁ ਚੀਨੈ ਸੁ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੮॥

आतमु चीनै सु ततु बीचारे ॥८॥
ਜੋ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਦੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ||8||
One who understands his own soul, contemplates the essence of reality. He love with God. ||8||
9714 ਸਾਚੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਚੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥

साचु रिदै सचु प्रेम निवास ॥
ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਭਗਤੀ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
One whose heart is filled with Truth God. True love with God.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਉਤੇ, ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਂਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ॥
Brahma acted in pride, and did not understand.
9718 ਬੇਦ ਕੀ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਪੜੀ ਪਛੁਤਾਨਿਆ ॥
Baedh Kee Bipath Parree Pashhuthaaniaa ||
बेद की बिपति पड़ी पछुतानिआ ॥
ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਬੇਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਮਸੀਬਤ ਆ ਗਈ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੀ ਗੱਲ਼ਤੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ। ਬੇਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੈਂਤ ਚੁਰਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਸਨ॥
Only when he was faced with the downfall of the Vedas did he repent.
9719 ਜਹ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰੇ ਤਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥

जह प्रभ सिमरे तही मनु मानिआ ॥१॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੀਏ, ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਬਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Remembering God in meditation, the mind is conciliated. ||1||
9720 ਐਸਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ॥

ऐसा गरबु बुरा संसारै ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਮੈਂ-ਮੈਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ਤਰਨਾਕ ਹੈ॥
Such is the horrible pride of the world.
9721 ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

बलि राजा माइआ अहंकारी ॥
ਬਲਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੰਕਾਂਰੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੰਨ ਸੀ॥
Bal the King, in Maya and egotism.
9723 ਜਗਨ ਕਰੈ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਰ ਅਫਾਰੀ ॥
Jagan Karai Bahu Bhaar Afaaree ||
जगन करै बहु भार अफारी ॥
ਉਹ ਸੌ ਜੱਗ, ਸੌ ਬਾਰ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਆਫ਼ਰ ਕੇ ਹੰਕਾਂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ॥
Held his ceremonial feasts, but he was puffed up with pride.
9724 ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਛੇ ਜਾਇ ਪਇਆਰੀ ॥੨॥
बिनु गुर पूछे जाइ पइआरी ॥२॥
Bin Gur Pooshhae Jaae Paeiaaree ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰੋਕਣ ਤੇ, ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਤੋਂ, ਉਹ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਜਾ, ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਸੀ। ਹੋਰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣਾਂ ਮੰਨ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਢਾਈ ਕਦਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਮੰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਇਕੋ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਮਿਣ ਲਿਆ। ਅੱਧੇ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ. ਆਪਦਾ ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਬੱਣਾਂ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ||2||
Without the Guru's advice, he had to go to the underworld. ||2||
9725 ਹਰੀਚੰਦੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਜਸੁ ਲੇਵੈ ॥
Hareechandh Dhaan Karai Jas Laevai ||
हरीचंदु दानु करै जसु लेवै ॥
ਹਰੀਚੰਦੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਪੁੰਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਹੁ-ਵਾਹੁ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹਰੀਚੰਦੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ, ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਸਬ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤਾਂਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਕੋਲੋ, ਧੋਖਾ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ॥
Hari Chand gave in charity, and earned public praise.
9726 ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇ ਅਭੇਵੈ ॥

बिनु गुर अंतु न पाइ अभेवै ॥
ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ॥
But without the Guru, he did not find the limits of the Mysterious God.
9727 ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇ ਆਪੇ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਵੈ ॥੩॥
Aap Bhulaae Aapae Math Dhaevai ||3||
आपि भुलाइ आपे मति देवै ॥३॥
ਰੱਬ, ਆਪ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਂਉਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||
The God Himself misleads people, and He Himself imparts understanding. ||3||
9728 ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਦੁਰਾਚਾਰੀ ॥
Dhuramath Haranaakhas Dhuraachaaree ||
दुरमति हरणाखसु दुराचारी ॥
ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ॥
The evil-minded Harnaakhash committed evil deeds.
9729 ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਗਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੀ ॥

प्रभु नाराइणु गरब प्रहारी ॥
ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
God, the Lord of all, is the Destroyer of pride.
9730 ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੪॥

प्रहलाद उधारे किरपा धारी ॥४॥
ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ, ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਦੀ ਮਦੱਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ||4||
He bestowed His Mercy, and saved Prahlaad. ||4||
9731 ਭੂਲੋ ਰਾਵਣੁ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਅਚੇਤਿ ॥
Bhoolo Raavan Mugadhh Achaeth ||
भूलो रावणु मुगधु अचेति ॥
ਬੇਸਮਝ ਰਾਵਣ ਰਸਤਾ ਭੱਟਕ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ॥
Raawan was deluded, foolish and unwise.
9732 ਲੂਟੀ ਲੰਕਾ ਸੀਸ ਸਮੇਤਿ ॥
Loottee Lankaa Sees Samaeth ||
लूटी लंका सीस समेति ॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਲੰਕਾਂ ਲੁੱਟੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
Sri Lanka was plundered, and he lost his head.
9733 ਗਰਬਿ ਗਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹੇਤਿ ॥੫॥
Garab Gaeiaa Bin Sathigur Haeth ||5||
गरबि गइआ बिनु सतिगुर हेति ॥५॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਵਾਂਗ, ਬੰਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||5||
He indulged in ego, and lacked the love of the True Sathigur. ||5||
9734 ਸਹਸਬਾਹੁ ਮਧੁ ਕੀਟ ਮਹਿਖਾਸਾ ॥
Sehasabaahu Madhh Keett Mehikhaasaa ||
सहसबाहु मधु कीट महिखासा ॥
ਸਹਸਬਾਹੁ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਸ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮਧੁ ਤੇ ਕੈਟਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮਹਿਖਾਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ॥
The God killed the thousand-armed Arjun, and the demons Madhu-keetab and Meh-khaasaa.
9735 ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਲੇ ਨਖਹੁ ਬਿਧਾਸਾ ॥
Haranaakhas Lae Nakhahu Bidhhaasaa ||
हरणाखसु ले नखहु बिधासा ॥
ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਨੂੰ ਨਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਨੋਹੁੰਆ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ॥
He seized Harnaakhash and tore him apart with his nails.
9736 ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਭਿਆਸਾ ॥੬॥

दैत संघारे बिनु भगति अभिआसा ॥६॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ, ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ||6||
The demons were slain; they did not practice devotional worship. ||6||
9737 ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿ ਕਾਲਜਮੁਨ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
Jaraasandhh Kaalajamun Sanghaarae ||
जरासंधि कालजमुन संघारे ॥
ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ॥
The demons Jaraa-sandh and Kaal-jamun were destroyed.
9738 ਰਕਤਬੀਜੁ ਕਾਲੁਨੇਮੁ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
Rakathabeej Kaalunaem Bidhaarae ||
रकतबीजु कालुनेमु बिदारे ॥
ਰਕਤਬੀਜੁ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲੁਨੇਮੁ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਨੂੰ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
Rakat-beej and Kaal-naym were annihilated.
9739 ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੭॥

दैत संघारि संत निसतारे ॥७॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ਼ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ||7||
Slaying the demons, the God saved His Saints. ||7||
9740 ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥

आपे सतिगुरु सबदु बीचारे ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਬੱਣ ਕੇ, ਆਪਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ॥
God Himself, as the True Sathigur, contemplates the Sathigur's Shabad.
9741 ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
Dhoojai Bhaae Dhaith Sanghaarae ||
दूजै भाइ दैत संघारे ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੈਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਵਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Because of the love of duality, God killed the demons.
9742 ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੮॥

In the earth and in the sky, I do not see any second. I seen onley God.

From the One, all have arisen. ||7||
9645 ਰਾਹ ਦੋਵੈ ਖਸਮੁ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੁ ॥
Raah Dhovai Khasam Eaeko Jaan ||
राह दोवै खसमु एको जाणु ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਰਾਹ ਹਨ। ਇਕੋ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਭਾਣਾਂ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ||7||
There are two routes, but remember that their God. and Master is only One.

The sun and the moon are one and the same for them, as are household and wilderness.

करणी कीरति करम समानै ॥३॥

They remain absorbed in the fear of God; they never leave it.

कीमति कउण रहै लिव लाइ ॥५॥
ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ, ਵੱਡਮੁੱਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਣ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਂਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ||5||
Who can estimate their value? They remain lovingly absorbed in the God. ||5||

आपे मेले भरमु चुकाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਆਪੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਡਰ ਵਿਹਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The God unites them with Himself, dispelling their doubts.

ਜੱਪਾ-ਜਾਪ ਬੰਨ ਕੇ ਕਰਨੇ, ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦੇਣੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨਾਂ, ਨਿਜ਼ਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਨੇ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਸਮਝੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥

Disease does not afflict me, nor does the pain of death.

Night and day, they remain awake and aware, embracing love for the True God.

भै रचि रहै सु निरभउ होइ ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਨਿਡਰ, ਡਰ-ਰਿਹਤ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who remain immersed in the Fear of God become fearless.

जैसा सेवै तैसो होइ ॥४॥
ਜੈਸੀ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ, ਜੱਪੀ, ਪੜ੍ਹੀ, ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ-ਜਿਹਾ ਫ਼ਲ, ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ||4||

ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ, ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾਂ ਹਾਂ॥

पुनरपि जनमु नाही गुण गाउ ॥५॥
ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਜੰਮਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ। ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ||5||
Such a person is not reincarnated again; he sings the Glories of God. ||5||

ਸਰੀਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ, ਗੁੱਸਾ, ਭੁੱਖਾਂ-ਪਿਆਰ, ਕਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਜਹਿਹ ਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਲ਼, ਸਾੜ, ਜੱਲ਼ਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ
By sexual desire, anger, corruption, hunger and thirst Killing the body .

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਐਸੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਜ਼ ਰੱਖ ਲਵੋ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ॥
Show Your Mercy, save me, Savior God.
9709 ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝੇ ਪਸੂ ਭਏ ਬੇਤਾਲੇ ॥੬॥

बिनु बूझे पसू भए बेताले ॥६॥
ਬਗੈਰ ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਾਏ, ਬੰਦੇ ਵੀ ਡੰਗਰ, ਭੂਤਾਂ, ਚੜੇਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ ||6||
Without understanding, people become beasts and demons. ||6||
9710 ਗੁਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਦੂਜਾ ॥
Gur Kehiaa Avar Nehee Dhoojaa ||
गुरि कहिआ अवरु नही दूजा ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ॥
The Sathigur has said, only one God. that there is no other at all.
9711 ਕਿਸੁ ਕਹੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਕਰਉ ਅਨ ਪੂਜਾ ॥੭॥

किसु कहु देखि करउ अन पूजा ॥७॥
ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ, ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ, ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ||7||
So tell me, who should I see, and who should I worship? ||7||
9712 ਸੰਤ ਹੇਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਧਾਰੇ ॥

संत हेति प्रभि त्रिभवण धारे ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ, ਤਿੰਨ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬੱਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ॥
For the sake of the Sathigur's Saints, God has established the three worlds.
9713 ਆਤਮੁ ਚੀਨੈ ਸੁ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੮॥

आतमु चीनै सु ततु बीचारे ॥८॥
ਜੋ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਦੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ||8||
One who understands his own soul, contemplates the essence of reality. He love with God. ||8||
9714 ਸਾਚੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਚੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥

साचु रिदै सचु प्रेम निवास ॥
ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਭਗਤੀ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
One whose heart is filled with Truth God. True love with God.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਉਤੇ, ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਂਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ॥
Brahma acted in pride, and did not understand.
9718 ਬੇਦ ਕੀ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਪੜੀ ਪਛੁਤਾਨਿਆ ॥
Baedh Kee Bipath Parree Pashhuthaaniaa ||
बेद की बिपति पड़ी पछुतानिआ ॥
ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਬੇਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਮਸੀਬਤ ਆ ਗਈ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੀ ਗੱਲ਼ਤੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ। ਬੇਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੈਂਤ ਚੁਰਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਸਨ॥
Only when he was faced with the downfall of the Vedas did he repent.
9719 ਜਹ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰੇ ਤਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥

जह प्रभ सिमरे तही मनु मानिआ ॥१॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੀਏ, ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਬਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Remembering God in meditation, the mind is conciliated. ||1||
9720 ਐਸਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ॥
Aisaa Garab Buraa Sansaarai ||
ऐसा गरबु बुरा संसारै ॥
ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਮੈਂ-ਮੈਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ਤਰਨਾਕ ਹੈ॥
Such is the horrible pride of the world.
9721 ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

जिसु गुरु मिलै तिसु गरबु निवारै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ, ਮੈਂ-ਮੈਂ ਸਬ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

9722 ਬਲਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥

बलि राजा माइआ अहंकारी ॥
ਬਲਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੰਕਾਂਰੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੰਨ ਸੀ॥
Bal the King, in Maya and egotism.
9723 ਜਗਨ ਕਰੈ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਰ ਅਫਾਰੀ ॥
Jagan Karai Bahu Bhaar Afaaree ||
जगन करै बहु भार अफारी ॥
ਉਹ ਸੌ ਜੱਗ, ਸੌ ਬਾਰ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਆਫ਼ਰ ਕੇ ਹੰਕਾਂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ॥
Held his ceremonial feasts, but he was puffed up with pride.
9724 ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਛੇ ਜਾਇ ਪਇਆਰੀ ॥੨॥
बिनु गुर पूछे जाइ पइआरी ॥२॥
Bin Gur Pooshhae Jaae Paeiaaree ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰੋਕਣ ਤੇ, ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਤੋਂ, ਉਹ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਜਾ, ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਸੀ। ਹੋਰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣਾਂ ਮੰਨ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਢਾਈ ਕਦਮ ਧਰਤੀ ਮੰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਇਕੋ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਮਿਣ ਲਿਆ। ਅੱਧੇ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ. ਆਪਦਾ ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਬੱਣਾਂ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ||2||
Without the Guru's advice, he had to go to the underworld. ||2||
9725 ਹਰੀਚੰਦੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਜਸੁ ਲੇਵੈ ॥
Hareechandh Dhaan Karai Jas Laevai ||
हरीचंदु दानु करै जसु लेवै ॥
ਹਰੀਚੰਦੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਪੁੰਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਹੁ-ਵਾਹੁ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹਰੀਚੰਦੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ, ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਸਬ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤਾਂਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਕੋਲੋ, ਧੋਖਾ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ॥
Hari Chand gave in charity, and earned public praise.
9726 ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇ ਅਭੇਵੈ ॥

बिनु गुर अंतु न पाइ अभेवै ॥
ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ॥
But without the Guru, he did not find the limits of the Mysterious God.
9727 ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇ ਆਪੇ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਵੈ ॥੩॥
Aap Bhulaae Aapae Math Dhaevai ||3||
आपि भुलाइ आपे मति देवै ॥३॥
ਰੱਬ, ਆਪ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਂਉਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||
The God Himself misleads people, and He Himself imparts understanding. ||3||
9728 ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਦੁਰਾਚਾਰੀ ॥
Dhuramath Haranaakhas Dhuraachaaree ||
दुरमति हरणाखसु दुराचारी ॥
ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ॥
The evil-minded Harnaakhash committed evil deeds.
9729 ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਗਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੀ ॥

प्रभु नाराइणु गरब प्रहारी ॥
ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
God, the Lord of all, is the Destroyer of pride.
9730 ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੪॥
Prehalaadh Oudhhaarae Kirapaa Dhhaaree ||4||
प्रहलाद उधारे किरपा धारी ॥४॥
ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ, ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਦੀ ਮਦੱਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ||4||
He bestowed His Mercy, and saved Prahlaad. ||4||
9731 ਭੂਲੋ ਰਾਵਣੁ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਅਚੇਤਿ ॥
Bhoolo Raavan Mugadhh Achaeth ||
भूलो रावणु मुगधु अचेति ॥
ਬੇਸਮਝ ਰਾਵਣ ਰਸਤਾ ਭੱਟਕ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ॥
Raawan was deluded, foolish and unwise.
9732 ਲੂਟੀ ਲੰਕਾ ਸੀਸ ਸਮੇਤਿ ॥
Loottee Lankaa Sees Samaeth ||
लूटी लंका सीस समेति ॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਲੰਕਾਂ ਲੁੱਟੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
Sri Lanka was plundered, and he lost his head.
9733 ਗਰਬਿ ਗਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹੇਤਿ ॥੫॥
Garab Gaeiaa Bin Sathigur Haeth ||5||
गरबि गइआ बिनु सतिगुर हेति ॥५॥
ਰਾਵਣ ਵਾਂਗ, ਬੰਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੰਕਾਂਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||5||
He indulged in ego, and lacked the love of the True Sathigur. ||5||
9734 ਸਹਸਬਾਹੁ ਮਧੁ ਕੀਟ ਮਹਿਖਾਸਾ ॥
Sehasabaahu Madhh Keett Mehikhaasaa ||
सहसबाहु मधु कीट महिखासा ॥
ਸਹਸਬਾਹੁ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਸ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮਧੁ ਤੇ ਕੈਟਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮਹਿਖਾਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ॥
The God killed the thousand-armed Arjun, and the demons Madhu-keetab and Meh-khaasaa.
9735 ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਲੇ ਨਖਹੁ ਬਿਧਾਸਾ ॥
Haranaakhas Lae Nakhahu Bidhhaasaa ||
हरणाखसु ले नखहु बिधासा ॥
ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਨੂੰ ਨਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਨੋਹੁੰਆ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ॥
He seized Harnaakhash and tore him apart with his nails.
9736 ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਭਿਆਸਾ ॥੬॥

दैत संघारे बिनु भगति अभिआसा ॥६॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ, ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ||6||
The demons were slain; they did not practice devotional worship. ||6||
9737 ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿ ਕਾਲਜਮੁਨ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
Jaraasandhh Kaalajamun Sanghaarae ||
जरासंधि कालजमुन संघारे ॥
ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਕਾ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ॥
The demons Jaraa-sandh and Kaal-jamun were destroyed.
9738 ਰਕਤਬੀਜੁ ਕਾਲੁਨੇਮੁ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
Rakathabeej Kaalunaem Bidhaarae ||
रकतबीजु कालुनेमु बिदारे ॥
ਰਕਤਬੀਜੁ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲੁਨੇਮੁ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਨੂੰ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
Rakat-beej and Kaal-naym were annihilated.
9739 ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੭॥

दैत संघारि संत निसतारे ॥७॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ਼ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ||7||
Slaying the demons, the God saved His Saints. ||7||
9740 ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
Aapae Sathigur Sabadh Beechaarae ||
आपे सतिगुरु सबदु बीचारे ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਬੱਣ ਕੇ, ਆਪਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ॥
God Himself, as the True Sathigur, contemplates the Sathigur's Shabad.
9741 ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
Dhoojai Bhaae Dhaith Sanghaarae ||
दूजै भाइ दैत संघारे ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੈਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਵਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Because of the love of duality, God killed the demons.
9742 ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੮॥
