उलटत पवन चक्र खटु भेदे सुरति सुंन अनरागी ॥
ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ, ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਛੇ ਹੀ ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਵਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫੁਰਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥
I turned my breath inwards, and pierced through the six chakras of the body, and my awareness was centered on the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord.

ਵੈਰਾਗੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਛੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ, ਜੋ ਨਾਹ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Search for the One who does not come or go, who does not die and is not born, O renunciate. ||1||

My mind has turned away from the world, and is absorbed in the Mind of God.

Nivarai Dhoor Dhoor Fun Nivarai Jin Jaisaa Kar Maaniaa ||
निवरै दूरि दूरि फुनि निवरै जिनि जैसा करि मानिआ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਸੀ। ਕਦੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੁਣ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
That which was near has become distant, and again, that which was distant is near, for those who realize the Lord as He is.
15273 ਅਲਉਤੀ ਕਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਭਇਆ ਬਰੇਡਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥

अलउती का जैसे भइआ बरेडा जिनि पीआ तिनि जानिआ ॥२॥
ਇਹ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੈ। ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਬਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਉਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਬਤ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ||2||
It is like the sugar water made from the candy; only one who drinks it knows its taste. ||2||
15274 ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਕਥਾ ਕਾਇ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੀਐ ਐਸਾ ਕੋਇ ਬਿਬੇਕੀ ॥
Thaeree Niragun Kathhaa Kaae Sio Keheeai Aisaa Koe Bibaekee ||
तेरी निरगुन कथा काइ सिउ कहीऐ ऐसा कोइ बिबेकी ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਸ ਸਰੂਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਿਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਕਿਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ? ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਹੈ ॥
Unto whom should I speak Your speech, O Lord; it is beyond the three qualities. Is there anyone with such discerning wisdom?

ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਤਨੀ ਕੁ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਵੇਖੀ ਹੈ ||3||3||47||

Theh Paavas Sindhh Dhhoop Nehee Shheheeaa Theh Outhapath Paralo Naahee ||
तह पावस सिंधु धूप नही छहीआ तह उतपति परलउ नाही ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਬ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਰਖਾ-ਰੁੱਤ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਧੁੱਪ, ਛਾਂ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਂਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
There is no rainy season, ocean, sunshine or shade, no creation or destruction there.
15278 ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਰਤੁ ਨ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਦੋਊ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥

जीवन मिरतु न दुखु सुखु बिआपै सुंन समाधि दोऊ तह नाही ॥१॥
ਨਾਹ ਜੀਉਣ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ, ਨਾਹ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ, ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਦਰਦ, ਨਾਹ ਅੰਨਦ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੈ। ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ||1||
No life or death, no pain or pleasure is felt there. There is only the Primal Trance of Samaadhi, and no duality. ||1||

15280 ਤੁਲਿ ਨਹੀ ਚਢੈ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਮੁਕਾਤੀ ਹਲੁਕੀ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

तुलि नही चढै जाइ न मुकाती हलुकी लगै न भारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਭੀ ਤੋਲੀ-ਮਿਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਘਟੀਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
It is not measured, and it is not exhausted. It is neither light nor heavy. ||1||Pause||
15281 ਅਰਧ ਉਰਧ ਦੋਊ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
Aradhh Ouradhh Dhooo Theh Naahee Raath Dhinas Theh Naahee ||
अरध उरध दोऊ तह नाही राति दिनसु तह नाही ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਉੱਚੇ, ਗਰੀਬ, ਅਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। ਬੰਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਨੀਂਦ ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ॥
Neither lower nor upper worlds are there; neither day nor night are there.
15282 ਜਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਵਨੁ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਫੁਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਹਾ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੨॥

जलु नही पवनु पावकु फुनि नाही सतिगुर तहा समाही ॥२॥
ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ. ਮਨ ਦੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ, ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ। ਜਿਥੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ||2||
There is no water, wind or fire; there, the True Guru is contained. ||2||
15283 ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਹੀਐ ॥

अगम अगोचरु रहै निरंतरि गुर किरपा ते लहीऐ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਾਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਾਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
The Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord dwells there within Himself; by Guru's Grace, He is found.

ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਈਏ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹੀਏ ||3||4||48||

With both sin and virtue, the ox of the body is purchased; the air of the breath is the capital which has appeared.

त्रिसना गूणि भरी घट भीतरि इन बिधि टांड बिसाहिओ ॥१॥
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਭਰੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਐਸਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਲ ਲੱਦਿਆ ਹੈ ||1||
The bag on its back is filled with desire; this is how we purchase the herd. ||1||

15290 ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਏ ਜਗਾਤੀ ਮਨ ਤਰੰਗ ਬਟਵਾਰਾ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Dhue Bheae Jagaathee Man Tharang Battavaaraa ||
कामु क्रोधु दुइ भए जगाती मन तरंग बटवारा ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ, ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਦੇ ਲੁਟੇਰੇ ਬਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
Sexual desire and anger are the tax-collectors, and the waves of the mind are the highway robbers.

पंच ततु मिलि दानु निबेरहि टांडा उतरिओ पारा ॥२॥
ਪੰਜ ਤੱਤੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਰਲ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦਾ ਲੱਦਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ, ਅਗਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||
The five elements join together and divide up their loot. This is how our herd is disposed of! ||2||

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਔਖਾ ਪੈਂਡਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ-ਰੂਪ ਇੱਕ ਬਲਦ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨੇ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||3||5||49||
Going uphill, the ox has grown weary; throwing off his load, he continues on his journey. ||3||5||49||

पेवकड़ै दिन चारि है साहुरड़ै जाणा ॥
ਪੇਕੇ ਘਰ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਥੋੜੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ ॥
For a few short days the soul-bride stays in her parent's house; then she must go to her in-laws.

Tell me, why is the bride wearing her ordinary clothes?

The guests have arrived at her home, and her Husband has come to take her away. ||1||Pause||

ओह जि दिसै खूहड़ी कउन लाजु वहारी ॥
ਇਹ ਖੂਹੀ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਲੱਜ ਖਿੱਚ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਗਤ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਜੋ ਭੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਭੋਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Who has lowered the rope of the breath down, into the well of the world which we see?

लाजु घड़ी सिउ तूटि पड़ी उठि चली पनिहारी ॥२॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਲੱਜ ਘੜੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਢਹਿ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਿਕਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||2||
The rope of the breath breaks away from the pitcher of the body, and the water-carrier gets up and departs. ||2||
15301 ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥

साहिबु होइ दइआलु क्रिपा करे अपुना कारजु सवारे ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਰੱਬ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
When the Lord and Master is kind and grants His Grace, then her affairs are all resolved.
15302 ਤਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੩॥

ता सोहागणि जाणीऐ गुर सबदु बीचारे ॥३॥
ਜੋ ਵੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖਸਮ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||3||
Then she is known as the happy soul-bride, if she contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||3||
15303 ਕਿਰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਂਧੀ ਸਭ ਫਿਰੈ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
Kirath Kee Baandhhee Sabh Firai Dhaekhahu Beechaaree ||
किरत की बांधी सभ फिरै देखहु बीचारी ॥
ਜੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਹ ਦੋਸ਼? ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਭੱਟਕ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
Bound by the actions she has committed, she wanders around - see this and understand.

(What can we say to her? What can the poor soul-bride do? ||4||
15305 ਭਈ ਨਿਰਾਸੀ ਉਠਿ ਚਲੀ ਚਿਤ ਬੰਧਿ ਨ ਧੀਰਾ ॥

भई निरासी उठि चली चित बंधि न धीरा ॥
ਆਸਾਂ ਸਿਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀਆਂ, ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੜਦਾ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਬੰਦੇ ਉੱਠ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
Disappointed and hopeless, she gets up and departs. There is no support or encouragement in her consciousness.

So remain attached to the Lord's Lotus Feet, and hurry to His Sanctuary, Kabeer! ||5||6||50||

ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ, ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਛੇ ਹੀ ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਵਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫੁਰਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥
I turned my breath inwards, and pierced through the six chakras of the body, and my awareness was centered on the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord.

Search for the One who does not come or go, who does not die and is not born, O renunciate. ||1||

My mind has turned away from the world, and is absorbed in the Mind of God.

Nivarai Dhoor Dhoor Fun Nivarai Jin Jaisaa Kar Maaniaa ||
निवरै दूरि दूरि फुनि निवरै जिनि जैसा करि मानिआ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਸੀ। ਕਦੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੁਣ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
That which was near has become distant, and again, that which was distant is near, for those who realize the Lord as He is.
15273 ਅਲਉਤੀ ਕਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਭਇਆ ਬਰੇਡਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥

अलउती का जैसे भइआ बरेडा जिनि पीआ तिनि जानिआ ॥२॥
ਇਹ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੈ। ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਬਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਉਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਬਤ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ||2||
It is like the sugar water made from the candy; only one who drinks it knows its taste. ||2||
15274 ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਕਥਾ ਕਾਇ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੀਐ ਐਸਾ ਕੋਇ ਬਿਬੇਕੀ ॥
Thaeree Niragun Kathhaa Kaae Sio Keheeai Aisaa Koe Bibaekee ||
तेरी निरगुन कथा काइ सिउ कहीऐ ऐसा कोइ बिबेकी ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਸ ਸਰੂਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਿਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਕਿਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ? ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਹੈ ॥
Unto whom should I speak Your speech, O Lord; it is beyond the three qualities. Is there anyone with such discerning wisdom?

ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਤਨੀ ਕੁ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਵੇਖੀ ਹੈ ||3||3||47||

Theh Paavas Sindhh Dhhoop Nehee Shheheeaa Theh Outhapath Paralo Naahee ||
तह पावस सिंधु धूप नही छहीआ तह उतपति परलउ नाही ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਬ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਰਖਾ-ਰੁੱਤ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਧੁੱਪ, ਛਾਂ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਂਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
There is no rainy season, ocean, sunshine or shade, no creation or destruction there.
15278 ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਰਤੁ ਨ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਦੋਊ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
Jeevan Mirath N Dhukh Sukh Biaapai Sunn Samaadhh Dhooo Theh Naahee ||1||
जीवन मिरतु न दुखु सुखु बिआपै सुंन समाधि दोऊ तह नाही ॥१॥
ਨਾਹ ਜੀਉਣ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ, ਨਾਹ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ, ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਦਰਦ, ਨਾਹ ਅੰਨਦ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਹੈ। ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ||1||
No life or death, no pain or pleasure is felt there. There is only the Primal Trance of Samaadhi, and no duality. ||1||

ਬੰਦੇ ਦਰ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ, ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਜੀਬ ਅੰਨਦ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ਹੈ ॥
15280 ਤੁਲਿ ਨਹੀ ਚਢੈ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਮੁਕਾਤੀ ਹਲੁਕੀ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

तुलि नही चढै जाइ न मुकाती हलुकी लगै न भारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਭੀ ਤੋਲੀ-ਮਿਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਘਟੀਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
It is not measured, and it is not exhausted. It is neither light nor heavy. ||1||Pause||
15281 ਅਰਧ ਉਰਧ ਦੋਊ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

अरध उरध दोऊ तह नाही राति दिनसु तह नाही ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਉੱਚੇ, ਗਰੀਬ, ਅਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। ਬੰਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਨੀਂਦ ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ॥
Neither lower nor upper worlds are there; neither day nor night are there.
15282 ਜਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਵਨੁ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਫੁਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਹਾ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੨॥

जलु नही पवनु पावकु फुनि नाही सतिगुर तहा समाही ॥२॥
ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ. ਮਨ ਦੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ, ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ। ਜਿਥੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ||2||
There is no water, wind or fire; there, the True Guru is contained. ||2||
15283 ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਹੀਐ ॥

अगम अगोचरु रहै निरंतरि गुर किरपा ते लहीऐ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਾਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਾਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
The Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord dwells there within Himself; by Guru's Grace, He is found.

ਪਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਦੋ ਬਲਦ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜੰਮੇ ਹਨ ॥
With both sin and virtue, the ox of the body is purchased; the air of the breath is the capital which has appeared.

ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਭਰੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਐਸਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਲ ਲੱਦਿਆ ਹੈ ||1||
The bag on its back is filled with desire; this is how we purchase the herd. ||1||

Kaam Krodhh Dhue Bheae Jagaathee Man Tharang Battavaaraa ||
कामु क्रोधु दुइ भए जगाती मन तरंग बटवारा ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ, ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਦੇ ਲੁਟੇਰੇ ਬਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ॥
Sexual desire and anger are the tax-collectors, and the waves of the mind are the highway robbers.
15291 ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਿਬੇਰਹਿ ਟਾਂਡਾ ਉਤਰਿਓ ਪਾਰਾ ॥੨॥

पंच ततु मिलि दानु निबेरहि टांडा उतरिओ पारा ॥२॥
ਪੰਜ ਤੱਤੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਰਲ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦਾ ਲੱਦਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ, ਅਗਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||
The five elements join together and divide up their loot. This is how our herd is disposed of! ||2||

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਔਖਾ ਪੈਂਡਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ-ਰੂਪ ਇੱਕ ਬਲਦ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨੇ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||3||5||49||
Going uphill, the ox has grown weary; throwing off his load, he continues on his journey. ||3||5||49||

पेवकड़ै दिन चारि है साहुरड़ै जाणा ॥
ਪੇਕੇ ਘਰ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਥੋੜੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ। ਮਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ ॥
For a few short days the soul-bride stays in her parent's house; then she must go to her in-laws.

Tell me, why is the bride wearing her ordinary clothes?
15298 ਪਾਹੂ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ਮੁਕਲਾਊ ਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਮੁਕਲਾਵਾ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਹੁਣੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਮ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
The guests have arrived at her home, and her Husband has come to take her away. ||1||Pause||
15299 ਓਹ ਜਿ ਦਿਸੈ ਖੂਹੜੀ ਕਉਨ ਲਾਜੁ ਵਹਾਰੀ ॥

ओह जि दिसै खूहड़ी कउन लाजु वहारी ॥
ਇਹ ਖੂਹੀ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਲੱਜ ਖਿੱਚ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਗਤ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਜੋ ਭੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਭੋਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Who has lowered the rope of the breath down, into the well of the world which we see?
15300 ਲਾਜੁ ਘੜੀ ਸਿਉ ਤੂਟਿ ਪੜੀ ਉਠਿ ਚਲੀ ਪਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੨॥

लाजु घड़ी सिउ तूटि पड़ी उठि चली पनिहारी ॥२॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਲੱਜ ਘੜੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਢਹਿ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਿਕਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||2||
The rope of the breath breaks away from the pitcher of the body, and the water-carrier gets up and departs. ||2||
15301 ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
Saahib Hoe Dhaeiaal Kirapaa Karae Apunaa Kaaraj Savaarae ||
साहिबु होइ दइआलु क्रिपा करे अपुना कारजु सवारे ॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਰੱਬ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
When the Lord and Master is kind and grants His Grace, then her affairs are all resolved.
15302 ਤਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Thaa Sohaagan Jaaneeai Gur Sabadh Beechaarae ||3||
ता सोहागणि जाणीऐ गुर सबदु बीचारे ॥३॥
ਜੋ ਵੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖਸਮ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ||3||
Then she is known as the happy soul-bride, if she contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||3||
15303 ਕਿਰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਂਧੀ ਸਭ ਫਿਰੈ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
Kirath Kee Baandhhee Sabh Firai Dhaekhahu Beechaaree ||
किरत की बांधी सभ फिरै देखहु बीचारी ॥
ਜੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਹ ਦੋਸ਼? ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਭੱਟਕ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
Bound by the actions she has committed, she wanders around - see this and understand.

ਏਸ ਨੋ ਕਿਆ ਆਖੀਐ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ॥੪॥

एस नो किआ आखीऐ किआ करे विचारी ॥४॥
ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਹੀਏ। ਇਹ ਨਮਾਣੀ ਕੀਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ? ||4||
(What can we say to her? What can the poor soul-bride do? ||4||
15305 ਭਈ ਨਿਰਾਸੀ ਉਠਿ ਚਲੀ ਚਿਤ ਬੰਧਿ ਨ ਧੀਰਾ ॥

भई निरासी उठि चली चित बंधि न धीरा ॥
ਆਸਾਂ ਸਿਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀਆਂ, ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੜਦਾ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਬੰਦੇ ਉੱਠ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
Disappointed and hopeless, she gets up and departs. There is no support or encouragement in her consciousness.
15306 ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹੁ ਭਜੁ ਸਰਣਿ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥੫॥੬॥੫੦॥

हरि की चरणी लागि रहु भजु सरणि कबीरा ॥५॥६॥५०॥
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਨਿਰਾਸਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ, ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹੁ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਈ ਰੱਖੀਏ ||5||6||50||
So remain attached to the Lord's Lotus Feet, and hurry to His Sanctuary, Kabeer! ||5||6||50||
