Khundtaa Andhar Rakh Kai Dhaen S Mal Sajaae ||
ਗੰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਸ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੇਲਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ, ਗੰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੀੜਦੇ ਹਨ॥
खुंढा अंदरि रखि कै देनि सु मल सजाइ ॥
And then, it is placed between the wooden rollers and crushed.
5866 ਰਸੁ ਕਸੁ ਟਟਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਤਪੈ ਤੈ ਵਿਲਲਾਇ ॥
Ras Kas Ttattar Paaeeai Thapai Thai Vilalaae ||
रसु कसु टटरि पाईऐ तपै तै विललाइ ॥
ਗੰਨੇ ਦੇ ਰਸ-ਰਹੁ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਗੁੜ, ਸ਼ੰਕਰ, ਖੰਡ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅੱਗ ਉਤੇ ਲਈ ਕਾੜਿਆ, ਮੱਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
What punishment is inflicted upon it! Its juice is extracted and placed in the cauldron; as it is heated, it groans and cries out.
5867 ਭੀ ਸੋ ਫੋਗੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ਦਿਚੈ ਅਗਿ ਜਾਲਾਇ ॥
Bhee So Fog Samaaleeai Dhichai Ag Jaalaae ||
भी सो फोगु समालीऐ दिचै अगि जालाइ ॥
ਗੰਨੇ ਦਾ ਰੱਸ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਛਿਲਕਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
And then, the crushed cane is collected and burnt in the fire below.
5868 ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਠੈ ਪਤਰੀਐ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਲੋਕਾ ਆਇ ॥੨॥

नानक मिठै पतरीऐ वेखहु लोका आइ ॥२॥

ਕਈ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੌਤ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ॥
Some do not think of death; they entertain great hopes.
5871 ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਕੇਰਿਆ ॥
Mar Mar Janmehi Nith Kisai N Kaeriaa ||
मरि मरि जमहि नित किसै न केरिआ ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਜੰਮਦੇ-ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ. ਪਰ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ॥
They die, and are re-born, and die, over and over again. They are of no use at all!
5872 ਆਪਨੜੈ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਹਨਿ ਚੰਗੇਰਿਆ ॥
Aapanarrai Man Chith Kehan Changaeriaa ||
आपनड़ै मनि चिति कहनि चंगेरिआ ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
In their conscious minds, they call themselves good.
5873 ਜਮਰਾਜੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹੇਰਿਆ ॥
Jamaraajai Nith Nith Manamukh Haeriaa ||
जमराजै नित नित मनमुख हेरिआ ॥
ਉਨਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਮਦੂਤ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਜਮ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The King of the Angels of Death hunts down those self-willed manmukhs, over and over again.
5874 ਮਨਮੁਖ ਲੂਣ ਹਾਰਾਮ ਕਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
Manamukh Loon Haaraam Kiaa N Jaaniaa ||
मनमुख लूण हाराम किआ न जाणिआ ॥
ਮਨ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The manmukhs are false to their own selves; they feel no gratitude for what they have been given.
5875 ਬਧੇ ਕਰਨਿ ਸਲਾਮ ਖਸਮ ਨ ਭਾਣਿਆ ॥
Badhhae Karan Salaam Khasam N Bhaaniaa ||
बधे करनि सलाम खसम न भाणिआ ॥
ਮੱਲੋ-ਮੱਲੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਤੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ॥
Those who merely perform rituals of worship are not pleasing to their Lord and Master.
5876 ਸਚੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਾਵਸੀ ॥
Sach Milai Mukh Naam Saahib Bhaavasee ||
सचु मिलै मुखि नामु साहिब भावसी ॥
ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those who attain the True Lord and chant His Name are pleasing to the Lord.
5877 ਕਰਸਨਿ ਤਖਤਿ ਸਲਾਮੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਵਸੀ ॥੧੧॥

करसनि तखति सलामु लिखिआ पावसी ॥११॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ||11||
They worship the Lord and bow at His Throne. They fulfill their pre-ordained destiny. ||11||

मछी तारू किआ करे पंखी किआ आकासु ॥
ਪਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਮੱਛੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਅਸਮਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸ ਪੰਛੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
What can deep water do to a fish? What can the vast sky do to a bird?

पथर पाला किआ करे खुसरे किआ घर वासु ॥
ਪਾਲਾ ਠੰਡ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਖੁਸਰਾ ਸੋਚੇ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਸਾ ਸਕਦਾ,ਘਰ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾਂ ਹੀਜੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
What can cold do to a stone? What is married life to a eunuch?
5881 ਕੁਤੇ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਲਾਈਐ ਭੀ ਸੋ ਕੁਤੀ ਧਾਤੁ ॥
Kuthae Chandhan Laaeeai Bhee So Kuthee Dhhaath ||
कुते चंदनु लाईऐ भी सो कुती धातु ॥
ਜੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਿਕਾ ਦੇਈਏ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
You may apply sandalwood oil to a dog, but he will still be a dog.
5882 ਬੋਲਾ ਜੇ ਸਮਝਾਈਐ ਪੜੀਅਹਿ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪਾਠ ॥
Bolaa Jae Samajhaaeeai Parreeahi Sinmrith Paath ||
बोला जे समझाईऐ पड़ीअहि सिम्रिति पाठ ॥
ਨਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਚਾਹੇ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਤੀਆਂ ਪਾਠ, ਧਰਮਕਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਿ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਂਈਆਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ॥
You may try to teach a deaf person by reading the Simritees to him, but how will he learn?
5883 ਅੰਧਾ ਚਾਨਣਿ ਰਖੀਐ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਲਹਿ ਪਚਾਸ ॥
Andhhaa Chaanan Rakheeai Dheevae Balehi Pachaas ||
अंधा चानणि रखीऐ दीवे बलहि पचास ॥
ਅੰਨੇ ਬੰਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਪੰਜਾ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਣ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸੇਗਾ॥
You may place a light before a blind man and burn fifty lamps, but how will he see?
5884 ਚਉਣੇ ਸੁਇਨਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਚੁਣਿ ਚੁਣਿ ਖਾਵੈ ਘਾਸੁ ॥
Chounae Sueinaa Paaeeai Chun Chun Khaavai Ghaas ||
चउणे सुइना पाईऐ चुणि चुणि खावै घासु ॥
ਘਾਰ ਚੁਗਣ ਗਏ, ਡੰਗਰਾਂ-ਪੱਛੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਗ ਅੱਗੇ, ਸੋਨਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦੇਈਏ, ਉਹ ਘਾਰ ਹੀ ਚੁਗਣਗੇ।
You may place gold before a herd of cattle, but they will pick out the grass to eat.
5885 ਲੋਹਾ ਮਾਰਣਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਢਹੈ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਕਪਾਸ ॥
Lohaa Maaran Paaeeai Dtehai N Hoe Kapaas ||
लोहा मारणि पाईऐ ढहै न होइ कपास ॥
ਲੋਹੇ ਗਰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਢਾਲ ਲਈਏ, ਉਹ ਕਪਾਹ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੂਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਣ ਸਕਦਾ॥
You may add flux to iron and melt it, but it will not become soft like cotton.
5886 ਨਾਨਕ ਮੂਰਖ ਏਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਬੋਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਣਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
Naanak Moorakh Eaehi Gun Bolae Sadhaa Vinaas ||1||
नानक मूरख एहि गुण बोले सदा विणासु ॥१॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਬੇਸਮਝ ਬੰਦੇ ਵੀ ਐਸੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ, ਬਗੈਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਫ਼ੈਇਦਾ ਮੱਤਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਬੋਲੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ||1||
O Nanak, this is the nature of a fool-everything he speaks is useless and wasted. ||1||

अगनी गंढु पाए लोहारु ॥
ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਹਾਰ ਟੰਕਾ ਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The metal-smith welds them together again in the fire, and the bond is established.
5890 ਗੋਰੀ ਸੇਤੀ ਤੁਟੈ ਭਤਾਰੁ ॥

गोरी सेती तुटै भतारु ॥
ਜੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਤੀ ਨਿਰਜ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ॥
If a husband leaves his wife,
5891 ਪੁਤੀਂ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥
Puthanaee Gandt Pavai Sansaar ||
पुतीं गंढु पवै संसारि ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Their children may bring them back together in the world, and the bond is established.
5892 ਰਾਜਾ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਿਤੈ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
Raajaa Mangai Dhithai Gandt Paae ||
राजा मंगै दितै गंढु पाइ ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਜਾਾ ਤੋਂ ਟੈਕਸ ਲੈਂਦਾ. ਪਰਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਬੱਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
When the king makes a demand, and it is met, the bond is established.
5893 ਭੁਖਿਆ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਜਾ ਖਾਇ ॥
Bhukhiaa Gandt Pavai Jaa Khaae ||
भुखिआ गंढु पवै जा खाइ ॥
ਭੁੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਢਿੱਡ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ॥
When the hungry man eats, he is satisfied, and the bond is established.
5894 ਕਾਲਾ ਗੰਢੁ ਨਦੀਆ ਮੀਹ ਝੋਲ ॥
Kaalaa Gandt Nadheeaa Meeh Jhol ||
काला गंढु नदीआ मीह झोल ॥
ਕਾਲ ਭੁੱਖ ਮਰੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ. ਜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈ ਕੇ, ਨਦੀਆਂ ਚਲ ਪੈਣ॥
In the famine, the rain fills the streams to overflowing, and the bond is established.
5895 ਗੰਢੁ ਪਰੀਤੀ ਮਿਠੇ ਬੋਲ ॥
Gandt Pareethee Mithae Bol ||
गंढु परीती मिठे बोल ॥
ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਮਿੱਠੀਆ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਵੱਧਦਾ ਹੈ॥
There is a bond between love and words of sweetness.
5896 ਬੇਦਾ ਗੰਢੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਸਚੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Baedhaa Gandt Bolae Sach Koe ||
बेदा गंढु बोले सचु कोइ ॥
ਬੇਦ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਤਾਂ ਬੱਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲੇ॥
When one speaks the Truth, a bond is established with the Holy Scriptures.
5897 ਮੁਇਆ ਗੰਢੁ ਨੇਕੀ ਸਤੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Mueiaa Gandt Naekee Sath Hoe ||
मुइआ गंढु नेकी सतु होइ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਯਾਦ ਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਭਲਾ ਤੇ ਦਾਨੀ ਹੋਵੇ॥
Through goodness and truth, the dead establish a bond with the living.
5898 ਏਤੁ ਗੰਢਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
Eaeth Gandt Varathai Sansaar ||
एतु गंढि वरतै संसारु ॥
ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਸਬੰਧ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Such are the bonds which prevail in the world.
5899 ਮੂਰਖ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਮਾਰ ॥
Moorakh Gandt Pavai Muhi Maar ||
मूरख गंढु पवै मुहि मार ॥
ਬੇਅੱਕਲ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੀ ਬੇਜ਼ਤੀ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ, ਅੱਕਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਪੈਣ ਨਾ ਸੁਰਤ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
The fool establishes his bonds only when he is slapped in the face.
5900 ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖੈ ਏਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥

नानकु आखै एहु बीचारु ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਦਸਦੇ ਹਨ॥

Through the Lord's Praise, we establish a bond with His Court. ||2||

आपे कुदरति साजि कै आपे करे बीचारु ॥
ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ. ਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself created and adorned the Universe, and He Himself contemplates it.
5904 ਇਕਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਇਕਿ ਖਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਖਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
Eik Khottae Eik Kharae Aapae Parakhanehaar ||
इकि खोटे इकि खरे आपे परखणहारु ॥
ਕਈ ਜੀਵ ਬੰਦੇ ਬੇਈਮਾਨ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਪੱਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Some are counterfeit, and some are genuine. He Himself is the Appraiser.
5905 ਖਰੇ ਖਜਾਨੈ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਸਟੀਅਹਿ ਬਾਹਰ ਵਾਰਿ ॥
Kharae Khajaanai Paaeeahi Khottae Satteeahi Baahar Vaar ||
खरे खजानै पाईअहि खोटे सटीअहि बाहर वारि ॥
ਭਲਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The genuine are placed in His Treasury, while the counterfeit are thrown away.
5906 ਖੋਟੇ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੁਟੀਅਹਿ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਕਰਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥
Khottae Sachee Dharageh Sutteeahi Kis Aagai Karehi Pukaar ||
खोटे सची दरगह सुटीअहि किसु आगै करहि पुकार ॥
ਰੱਬ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ-ਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਬਗੈਰ ਕਿਹਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਪੁਾਰ ਕਰਨ?
The counterfeit are thrown out of the True Court-unto whom should they complain?

They should worship and follow the True Guru-this is the lifestyle of excellence.
5908 ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਖੋਟਿਅਹੁ ਖਰੇ ਕਰੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥

सतिगुरु खोटिअहु खरे करे सबदि सवारणहारु ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਲੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾ ਰਾਹੀ ਖੋਟੇ ਤੋਂ ਖਰੇ ਬੱਣਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The True Guru converts the counterfeit into genuine; through the Word of the Shabad, He embellishes and exalts us.
5909 ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਮੰਨੀਅਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥

सची दरगह मंनीअनि गुर कै प्रेम पिआरि ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਉਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those who have enshrined love and affection for the Guru, are honored in the True Court.
5910 ਗਣਤ ਤਿਨਾ ਦੀ ਕੋ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੇ ਜੋ ਆਪਿ ਬਖਸੇ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੧੨॥

Who can estimate the value of those who have been forgiven by the Creator Lord Himself? ||12||

All the spiritual teachers, their disciples and the rulers of the world shall be buried under the ground.

Nor the Siddhas, nor the seekers shall remain on the earth.

ਗੰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਸ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੇਲਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ, ਗੰਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੀੜਦੇ ਹਨ॥
खुंढा अंदरि रखि कै देनि सु मल सजाइ ॥
And then, it is placed between the wooden rollers and crushed.
5866 ਰਸੁ ਕਸੁ ਟਟਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਤਪੈ ਤੈ ਵਿਲਲਾਇ ॥
Ras Kas Ttattar Paaeeai Thapai Thai Vilalaae ||
रसु कसु टटरि पाईऐ तपै तै विललाइ ॥
ਗੰਨੇ ਦੇ ਰਸ-ਰਹੁ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਗੁੜ, ਸ਼ੰਕਰ, ਖੰਡ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅੱਗ ਉਤੇ ਲਈ ਕਾੜਿਆ, ਮੱਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
What punishment is inflicted upon it! Its juice is extracted and placed in the cauldron; as it is heated, it groans and cries out.
5867 ਭੀ ਸੋ ਫੋਗੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ਦਿਚੈ ਅਗਿ ਜਾਲਾਇ ॥
Bhee So Fog Samaaleeai Dhichai Ag Jaalaae ||
भी सो फोगु समालीऐ दिचै अगि जालाइ ॥
ਗੰਨੇ ਦਾ ਰੱਸ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਛਿਲਕਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
And then, the crushed cane is collected and burnt in the fire below.
5868 ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਠੈ ਪਤਰੀਐ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਲੋਕਾ ਆਇ ॥੨॥

Some do not think of death; they entertain great hopes.
5871 ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਕੇਰਿਆ ॥
Mar Mar Janmehi Nith Kisai N Kaeriaa ||
मरि मरि जमहि नित किसै न केरिआ ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਜੰਮਦੇ-ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ. ਪਰ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ॥
They die, and are re-born, and die, over and over again. They are of no use at all!
5872 ਆਪਨੜੈ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਹਨਿ ਚੰਗੇਰਿਆ ॥

आपनड़ै मनि चिति कहनि चंगेरिआ ॥
ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
In their conscious minds, they call themselves good.
5873 ਜਮਰਾਜੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹੇਰਿਆ ॥
Jamaraajai Nith Nith Manamukh Haeriaa ||
जमराजै नित नित मनमुख हेरिआ ॥
ਉਨਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਮਦੂਤ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਜਮ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The King of the Angels of Death hunts down those self-willed manmukhs, over and over again.
5874 ਮਨਮੁਖ ਲੂਣ ਹਾਰਾਮ ਕਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
Manamukh Loon Haaraam Kiaa N Jaaniaa ||
मनमुख लूण हाराम किआ न जाणिआ ॥
ਮਨ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The manmukhs are false to their own selves; they feel no gratitude for what they have been given.
5875 ਬਧੇ ਕਰਨਿ ਸਲਾਮ ਖਸਮ ਨ ਭਾਣਿਆ ॥
Badhhae Karan Salaam Khasam N Bhaaniaa ||
बधे करनि सलाम खसम न भाणिआ ॥
ਮੱਲੋ-ਮੱਲੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਤੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ॥
Those who merely perform rituals of worship are not pleasing to their Lord and Master.
5876 ਸਚੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਾਵਸੀ ॥
Sach Milai Mukh Naam Saahib Bhaavasee ||
सचु मिलै मुखि नामु साहिब भावसी ॥
ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those who attain the True Lord and chant His Name are pleasing to the Lord.
5877 ਕਰਸਨਿ ਤਖਤਿ ਸਲਾਮੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਵਸੀ ॥੧੧॥
Karasan Thakhath Salaam Likhiaa Paavasee ||11||
करसनि तखति सलामु लिखिआ पावसी ॥११॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ||11||
They worship the Lord and bow at His Throne. They fulfill their pre-ordained destiny. ||11||

ਪਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਮੱਛੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਅਸਮਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸ ਪੰਛੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
What can deep water do to a fish? What can the vast sky do to a bird?

पथर पाला किआ करे खुसरे किआ घर वासु ॥
ਪਾਲਾ ਠੰਡ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਖੁਸਰਾ ਸੋਚੇ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਸਾ ਸਕਦਾ,ਘਰ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾਂ ਹੀਜੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
What can cold do to a stone? What is married life to a eunuch?
5881 ਕੁਤੇ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਲਾਈਐ ਭੀ ਸੋ ਕੁਤੀ ਧਾਤੁ ॥
Kuthae Chandhan Laaeeai Bhee So Kuthee Dhhaath ||
कुते चंदनु लाईऐ भी सो कुती धातु ॥
ਜੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਿਕਾ ਦੇਈਏ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
You may apply sandalwood oil to a dog, but he will still be a dog.
5882 ਬੋਲਾ ਜੇ ਸਮਝਾਈਐ ਪੜੀਅਹਿ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪਾਠ ॥
Bolaa Jae Samajhaaeeai Parreeahi Sinmrith Paath ||
बोला जे समझाईऐ पड़ीअहि सिम्रिति पाठ ॥
ਨਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਚਾਹੇ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਤੀਆਂ ਪਾਠ, ਧਰਮਕਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਿ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਂਈਆਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ॥
You may try to teach a deaf person by reading the Simritees to him, but how will he learn?
5883 ਅੰਧਾ ਚਾਨਣਿ ਰਖੀਐ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਲਹਿ ਪਚਾਸ ॥
Andhhaa Chaanan Rakheeai Dheevae Balehi Pachaas ||
अंधा चानणि रखीऐ दीवे बलहि पचास ॥
ਅੰਨੇ ਬੰਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਪੰਜਾ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਣ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸੇਗਾ॥
You may place a light before a blind man and burn fifty lamps, but how will he see?
5884 ਚਉਣੇ ਸੁਇਨਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਚੁਣਿ ਚੁਣਿ ਖਾਵੈ ਘਾਸੁ ॥
Chounae Sueinaa Paaeeai Chun Chun Khaavai Ghaas ||
चउणे सुइना पाईऐ चुणि चुणि खावै घासु ॥
ਘਾਰ ਚੁਗਣ ਗਏ, ਡੰਗਰਾਂ-ਪੱਛੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਗ ਅੱਗੇ, ਸੋਨਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦੇਈਏ, ਉਹ ਘਾਰ ਹੀ ਚੁਗਣਗੇ।
You may place gold before a herd of cattle, but they will pick out the grass to eat.
5885 ਲੋਹਾ ਮਾਰਣਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਢਹੈ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਕਪਾਸ ॥
Lohaa Maaran Paaeeai Dtehai N Hoe Kapaas ||
लोहा मारणि पाईऐ ढहै न होइ कपास ॥
ਲੋਹੇ ਗਰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਢਾਲ ਲਈਏ, ਉਹ ਕਪਾਹ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੂਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਣ ਸਕਦਾ॥
You may add flux to iron and melt it, but it will not become soft like cotton.
5886 ਨਾਨਕ ਮੂਰਖ ਏਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਬੋਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਣਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
Naanak Moorakh Eaehi Gun Bolae Sadhaa Vinaas ||1||
नानक मूरख एहि गुण बोले सदा विणासु ॥१॥

कैहा कंचनु तुटै सारु ॥
ਜੇ ਕੈਹਾਂ, ਲੋਹਾ ਸੋਨਾਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਏ॥
When pieces of bronze or gold or iron break,
5889 ਅਗਨੀ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਾਏ ਲੋਹਾਰੁ ॥
Aganee Gandt Paaeae Lohaar ||
अगनी गंढु पाए लोहारु ॥
ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਹਾਰ ਟੰਕਾ ਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The metal-smith welds them together again in the fire, and the bond is established.
5890 ਗੋਰੀ ਸੇਤੀ ਤੁਟੈ ਭਤਾਰੁ ॥
Goree Saethee Thuttai Bhathaar ||
गोरी सेती तुटै भतारु ॥
ਜੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਤੀ ਨਿਰਜ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ॥
If a husband leaves his wife,
5891 ਪੁਤੀਂ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥
Puthanaee Gandt Pavai Sansaar ||
पुतीं गंढु पवै संसारि ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Their children may bring them back together in the world, and the bond is established.
5892 ਰਾਜਾ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਿਤੈ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
Raajaa Mangai Dhithai Gandt Paae ||
राजा मंगै दितै गंढु पाइ ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਜਾਾ ਤੋਂ ਟੈਕਸ ਲੈਂਦਾ. ਪਰਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਬੱਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
When the king makes a demand, and it is met, the bond is established.
5893 ਭੁਖਿਆ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਜਾ ਖਾਇ ॥
Bhukhiaa Gandt Pavai Jaa Khaae ||
भुखिआ गंढु पवै जा खाइ ॥
ਭੁੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਢਿੱਡ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ॥
When the hungry man eats, he is satisfied, and the bond is established.
5894 ਕਾਲਾ ਗੰਢੁ ਨਦੀਆ ਮੀਹ ਝੋਲ ॥
Kaalaa Gandt Nadheeaa Meeh Jhol ||
काला गंढु नदीआ मीह झोल ॥
ਕਾਲ ਭੁੱਖ ਮਰੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ. ਜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈ ਕੇ, ਨਦੀਆਂ ਚਲ ਪੈਣ॥
In the famine, the rain fills the streams to overflowing, and the bond is established.
5895 ਗੰਢੁ ਪਰੀਤੀ ਮਿਠੇ ਬੋਲ ॥
Gandt Pareethee Mithae Bol ||
गंढु परीती मिठे बोल ॥
ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਮਿੱਠੀਆ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਵੱਧਦਾ ਹੈ॥
There is a bond between love and words of sweetness.
5896 ਬੇਦਾ ਗੰਢੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਸਚੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Baedhaa Gandt Bolae Sach Koe ||
बेदा गंढु बोले सचु कोइ ॥
ਬੇਦ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਤਾਂ ਬੱਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲੇ॥
When one speaks the Truth, a bond is established with the Holy Scriptures.
5897 ਮੁਇਆ ਗੰਢੁ ਨੇਕੀ ਸਤੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Mueiaa Gandt Naekee Sath Hoe ||
मुइआ गंढु नेकी सतु होइ ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਯਾਦ ਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਭਲਾ ਤੇ ਦਾਨੀ ਹੋਵੇ॥
Through goodness and truth, the dead establish a bond with the living.
5898 ਏਤੁ ਗੰਢਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
Eaeth Gandt Varathai Sansaar ||
एतु गंढि वरतै संसारु ॥
ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਸਬੰਧ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Such are the bonds which prevail in the world.
5899 ਮੂਰਖ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਮਾਰ ॥
Moorakh Gandt Pavai Muhi Maar ||
मूरख गंढु पवै मुहि मार ॥
ਬੇਅੱਕਲ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੀ ਬੇਜ਼ਤੀ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ, ਅੱਕਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਪੈਣ ਨਾ ਸੁਰਤ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
The fool establishes his bonds only when he is slapped in the face.
5900 ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖੈ ਏਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
Naanak Aakhai Eaehu Beechaar ||
नानकु आखै एहु बीचारु ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਦਸਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Nanak says this after deep reflection:
5901 ਸਿਫਤੀ ਗੰਢੁ ਪਵੈ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥੨॥

सिफती गंढु पवै दरबारि ॥२॥
ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਬੱਣਦਾ ਹੈ||2||
Through the Lord's Praise, we establish a bond with His Court. ||2||

5903 ਆਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਕੈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥

आपे कुदरति साजि कै आपे करे बीचारु ॥
ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ. ਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself created and adorned the Universe, and He Himself contemplates it.
5904 ਇਕਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਇਕਿ ਖਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਖਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
Eik Khottae Eik Kharae Aapae Parakhanehaar ||
इकि खोटे इकि खरे आपे परखणहारु ॥
ਕਈ ਜੀਵ ਬੰਦੇ ਬੇਈਮਾਨ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਪੱਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Some are counterfeit, and some are genuine. He Himself is the Appraiser.
5905 ਖਰੇ ਖਜਾਨੈ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਸਟੀਅਹਿ ਬਾਹਰ ਵਾਰਿ ॥
Kharae Khajaanai Paaeeahi Khottae Satteeahi Baahar Vaar ||
खरे खजानै पाईअहि खोटे सटीअहि बाहर वारि ॥
ਭਲਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
The genuine are placed in His Treasury, while the counterfeit are thrown away.
5906 ਖੋਟੇ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੁਟੀਅਹਿ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਕਰਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥
Khottae Sachee Dharageh Sutteeahi Kis Aagai Karehi Pukaar ||
खोटे सची दरगह सुटीअहि किसु आगै करहि पुकार ॥
ਰੱਬ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ-ਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਬਗੈਰ ਕਿਹਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਪੁਾਰ ਕਰਨ?
The counterfeit are thrown out of the True Court-unto whom should they complain?
5907 ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਿਛੈ ਭਜਿ ਪਵਹਿ ਏਹਾ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
Sathigur Pishhai Bhaj Pavehi Eaehaa Karanee Saar ||
सतिगुर पिछै भजि पवहि एहा करणी सारु ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਜਾਈਏ, ਉਹ ਸਬ ਕੁੱਝ ਸੁਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They should worship and follow the True Guru-this is the lifestyle of excellence.
5908 ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਖੋਟਿਅਹੁ ਖਰੇ ਕਰੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
Sathigur Khottiahu Kharae Karae Sabadh Savaaranehaar ||
सतिगुरु खोटिअहु खरे करे सबदि सवारणहारु ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਲੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾ ਰਾਹੀ ਖੋਟੇ ਤੋਂ ਖਰੇ ਬੱਣਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The True Guru converts the counterfeit into genuine; through the Word of the Shabad, He embellishes and exalts us.
5909 ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਮੰਨੀਅਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
Sachee Dharageh Manneean Gur Kai Praem Piaar ||
सची दरगह मंनीअनि गुर कै प्रेम पिआरि ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਉਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those who have enshrined love and affection for the Guru, are honored in the True Court.
5910 ਗਣਤ ਤਿਨਾ ਦੀ ਕੋ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੇ ਜੋ ਆਪਿ ਬਖਸੇ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੧੨॥
Ganath Thinaa Dhee Ko Kiaa Karae Jo Aap Bakhasae Karathaar ||12||
गणत तिना दी को किआ करे जो आपि बखसे करतारि ॥१२॥
ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਗਲ਼ੇ ਲਗਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਰੀਸ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?||12||
Who can estimate the value of those who have been forgiven by the Creator Lord Himself? ||12||

हम जेर जिमी दुनीआ पीरा मसाइका राइआ ॥
ਪੀਰ, ਪਾਏ, ਸ਼ੇਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
All the spiritual teachers, their disciples and the rulers of the world shall be buried under the ground.
5913 ਮੇ ਰਵਦਿ ਬਾਦਿਸਾਹਾ ਅਫਜੂ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥

मे रवदि बादिसाहा अफजू खुदाइ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੀ, ਨਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The emperors shall also pass away; God alone is Eternal.

ਏਕ ਤੂਹੀ ਏਕ ਤੁਹੀ ॥੧॥

एक तूही एक तुही ॥१॥

5917 ਨ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕਾ ਧਰਾ ॥

न सिध साधिका धरा ॥
ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਧ, ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੱਪ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੂਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੋਗੀ॥
Nor the Siddhas, nor the seekers shall remain on the earth.
5918 ਅਸਤਿ ਏਕ ਦਿਗਰਿ ਕੁਈ ॥
Asath Eaek Dhigar Kuee ||
असति एक दिगरि कुई ॥
ਜੋਗ ਸਾਦਨਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇ॥
5919 ਏਕ ਤੁਈ ਏਕ ਤੁਈ ॥੨॥
