5444 ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਏਕੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰੇ ॥੪॥
Ghatt Ghatt Eaek Varathadhaa Jal Thhal Meheeal Poorae ||4||
घटि घटि एकु वरतदा जलि थलि महीअलि पूरे ॥४॥
ਰੱਬ ਜਰੇ-ਜਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਹਰ ਜੀਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ||4||
In each and every heart, the One Lord is pervading. He is totally permeating the water, the land, and the sky. ||4||
5445 ਪਾਪ ਬਿਨਾਸਨੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰੇ ॥੫॥
Paap Binaasan Saeviaa Pavithr Santhan Kee Dhhoorae ||5||
पाप बिनासनु सेविआ पवित्र संतन की धूरे ॥५॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਚਰਨ ਦੀ ਧੂੜੀ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਚਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ||5||
I serve the Destroyer of sin, and I am sanctified by the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||5||
5446 ਸਭ ਛਡਾਈ ਖਸਮਿ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਭਈ ਠਰੂਰੇ ॥੬॥
Sabh Shhaddaaee Khasam Aap Har Jap Bhee Tharoorae ||6||
सभ छडाई खसमि आपि हरि जपि भई ठरूरे ॥६॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਬ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਧੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਠਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ||6||
My Lord and Master Himself has saved me completely; I am comforted by meditating on the Lord. ||6||
5447 ਕਰਤੈ ਕੀਆ ਤਪਾਵਸੋ ਦੁਸਟ ਮੁਏ ਹੋਇ ਮੂਰੇ ॥੭॥
Karathai Keeaa Thapaavaso Dhusatt Mueae Hoe Moorae ||7||
करतै कीआ तपावसो दुसट मुए होइ मूरे ॥७॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ ਨਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਵਿਰੋਧੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮੱਣ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ||7||
The Creator has passed judgement, and the evil-doers have been silenced and killed. ||7||

किरति करम के वीछुड़े करि किरपा मेलहु राम ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਆਪਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ, ਕਰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲਵੋ॥
By the actions we have committed, we are separated from You. Please show Your Mercy, and unite us with Yourself, Lord.
5452 ਚਾਰਿ ਕੁੰਟ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਭ੍ਰਮੇ ਥਕਿ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਾਮ ॥
Chaar Kuntt Dheh Dhis Bhramae Thhak Aaeae Prabh Kee Saam ||
चारि कुंट दह दिस भ्रमे थकि आए प्रभ की साम ॥
ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੰਭ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਣ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ॥
We have grown weary of wandering to the four corners of the earth and in the ten directions. We have come to Your Sanctuary, God.
5453 ਧੇਨੁ ਦੁਧੈ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਕਾਮ ॥
Dhhaen Dhudhhai Thae Baaharee Kithai N Aavai Kaam ||
धेनु दुधै ते बाहरी कितै न आवै काम ॥
ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗਾਂ, ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ॥
Without milk, a cow serves no purpose.
5454 ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਖ ਕੁਮਲਾਵਤੀ ਉਪਜਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਦਾਮ ॥
Jal Bin Saakh Kumalaavathee Oupajehi Naahee Dhaam ||
जल बिनु साख कुमलावती उपजहि नाही दाम ॥
ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ਸਲ ਝਾਂੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ॥
Without water, the crop withers, and it will not bring a good price.
5455 ਹਰਿ ਨਾਹ ਨ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਸਾਜਨੈ ਕਤ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਸਰਾਮ ॥
Har Naah N Mileeai Saajanai Kath Paaeeai Bisaraam ||
हरि नाह न मिलीऐ साजनै कत पाईऐ बिसराम ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮਨ ਨਹੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ॥
If we do not meet the Lord, our Friend, how can we find our place of rest?
5456 ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤੁ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਈ ਭਠਿ ਨਗਰ ਸੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
Jith Ghar Har Kanth N Pragattee Bhath Nagar Sae Graam ||
जितु घरि हरि कंतु न प्रगटई भठि नगर से ग्राम ॥
ਜੇ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਰੂਪ, ਤੱਪਦੇ ਘਰ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ॥
Those homes, those hearts, in which the Husband Lord is not manifest-those towns and villages are like burning furnaces.
5457 ਸ੍ਰਬ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਤੰਬੋਲ ਰਸ ਸਣੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਸਭ ਖਾਮ ॥
Srab Seegaar Thanbol Ras San Dhaehee Sabh Khaam ||
स्रब सीगार त्मबोल रस सणु देही सभ खाम ॥
ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ, ਪਾਨ ਬੀੜੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
All decorations, the chewing of betel to sweeten the breath, and the body itself, are all useless and vain.
5458 ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੰਤ ਵਿਹੂਣੀਆ ਮੀਤ ਸਜਣ ਸਭਿ ਜਾਮ ॥

प्रभ सुआमी कंत विहूणीआ मीत सजण सभि जाम ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਬਗੈਰ, ਸਬ ਦੋਸਤ ਵੀ ਦੁਸਮੱਣ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Without God, our Husband, our Lord and Master, all friends and companions are like the Messenger of Death.
5459 ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਜੈ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Naanak Kee Baenantheeaa Kar Kirapaa Dheejai Naam ||
नानक की बेनंतीआ करि किरपा दीजै नामु ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਤਰਲੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤਰਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਆਪਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਉ॥

5460 ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਧਾਮ ॥੧॥
Har Maelahu Suaamee Sang Prabh Jis Kaa Nihachal Dhhaam ||1||
हरि मेलहु सुआमी संगि प्रभ जिस का निहचल धाम ॥१॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲਵੋ, ਤੇਰਾ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਥਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਅੱਟਲ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ||1||
O my Lord and Master, please unite me with Yourself, O God, in the Eternal Mansion of Your Presence ||1||
5461 ਚੇਤਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਅਰਾਧੀਐ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਘਣਾ ॥
Chaeth Govindh Araadhheeai Hovai Anandh Ghanaa ||
चेति गोविंदु अराधीऐ होवै अनंदु घणा ॥
ਚੇਤ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਦਾ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੀਏ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁ਼ਖ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥
In the month of Chayt, by meditating on the Lord of the Universe, a deep and profound joy arises.
5462 ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਣਾ ॥
Santh Janaa Mil Paaeeai Rasanaa Naam Bhanaa ||
संत जना मिलि पाईऐ रसना नामु भणा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਜੀਭ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਲੱਹ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Meeting with the humble Saints, the Lord is found, as we chant His Name with our tongues.
5463 ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਏ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਗਣਾ ॥
Jin Paaeiaa Prabh Aapanaa Aaeae Thisehi Ganaa ||
जिनि पाइआ प्रभु आपणा आए तिसहि गणा ॥
ਜਿਸ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Those who have found God-blessed is their coming into this world.
5464 ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਜਣਾ ॥
Eik Khin This Bin Jeevanaa Birathhaa Janam Janaa ||
ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਇਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਮਾਤਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਜਿਉਣਾਂ ਜਨਮ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ॥
इकु खिनु तिसु बिनु जीवणा बिरथा जनमु जणा ॥
Those who live without Him, for even an instant-their lives are rendered useless.
5465 ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਰਵਿਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਣਾ ॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Pooriaa Raviaa Vich Vanaa ||
जलि थलि महीअलि पूरिआ रविआ विचि वणा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਧਰਤੀ, ਅਕਾਸ਼, ਪਾਣੀ, ਜੰਗਲ ਸਬ ਜਗਾ ਹੈ॥
The Lord is totally pervading the water, the land, and all space. He is contained in the forests as well.
5466 ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਕਿਤੜਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਣਾ ॥
So Prabh Chith N Aavee Kitharraa Dhukh Ganaa ||
सो प्रभु चिति न आवई कितड़ा दुखु गणा ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਰੱਬ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those who do not remember God-how much pain must they suffer!
5467 ਜਿਨੀ ਰਾਵਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤਿੰਨਾ ਭਾਗੁ ਮਣਾ ॥
Jinee Raaviaa So Prabhoo Thinnaa Bhaag Manaa ||
जिनी राविआ सो प्रभू तिंना भागु मणा ॥
ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਪਿਆ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ॥
Those who dwell upon their God have great good fortune.
5468 ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੰਉ ਮਨੁ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਿਆਸ ਮਨਾ ॥
Har Dharasan Kano Man Lochadhaa Naanak Piaas Manaa ||
हरि दरसन कंउ मनु लोचदा नानक पिआस मना ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਅ ਤਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇਖਣੇ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਸ ਹੈ॥
My mind yearns for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. O Nanak, my mind is so thirsty!
5469 ਚੇਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਾ ॥੨॥
Chaeth Milaaeae So Prabhoo This Kai Paae Lagaa ||2||
चेति मिलाए सो प्रभू तिस कै पाइ लगा ॥२॥
ਜੋ ਚੇਤ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾਂ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਨ ਕਰਾਏ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਫੜ ਲਵਾਂ||2||
I touch the feet of one who unites me with God in the month of Chayt. ||2||
5470 ਵੈਸਾਖਿ ਧੀਰਨਿ ਕਿਉ ਵਾਢੀਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ॥
Vaisaakh Dhheeran Kio Vaadteeaa Jinaa Praem Bishhohu ||
वैसाखि धीरनि किउ वाढीआ जिना प्रेम बिछोहु ॥
ਵਿਸਾਖ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲੱਗੇ? ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ॥
In the month of Vaisaakh, how can the bride be patient? She is separated from her Beloved.
5471 ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹੁ ॥
Har Saajan Purakh Visaar Kai Lagee Maaeiaa Dhhohu ||
हरि साजनु पुरखु विसारि कै लगी माइआ धोहु ॥
ਪਿਆਰਾ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ, ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬੱਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ॥
She has forgotten the Lord, her Life-companion, her Master; she has become attached to Maya, the deceitful one.
5472 ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਧਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਓਹੁ ॥
Puthr Kalathr N Sang Dhhanaa Har Avinaasee Ouhu ||
पुत्र कलत्र न संगि धना हरि अविनासी ओहु ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਔਰਤ, ਮਾਇਆ ਮਾਲ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਇੱਕ ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਅਮਰ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ॥
Neither son, nor spouse, nor wealth shall go along with you-only the Eternal Lord.
5473 ਪਲਚਿ ਪਲਚਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਮੁਈ ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਮੋਹੁ ॥
Palach Palach Sagalee Muee Jhoothai Dhhandhhai Mohu ||
पलचि पलचि सगली मुई झूठै धंधै मोहु ॥
ਲਾਲਚ ਆ ਕੇ, ਨਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ, ਬੇਕਾਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ॥
Entangled and enmeshed in the love of false occupations, the whole world is perishing.
5474 ਇਕਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਗੈ ਲਈਅਹਿ ਖੋਹਿ ॥

ਇੱਕ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣਾਂ ਹੈ, ਬਾਕੀ ਸਬ ਕੰਮ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਣੇ ਹਨ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the One Lord, they lose their lives in the hereafter.
5475 ਦਯੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਵਿਗੁਚਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

दयु विसारि विगुचणा प्रभ बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਕੇ, ਰੁਲਣਾਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੱਬ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ॥
Forgetting the Merciful Lord, they are ruined. Without God, there is no other at all.
5476 ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਚਰਣੀ ਜੋ ਲਗੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥

प्रीतम चरणी जो लगे तिन की निरमल सोइ ॥
ਜੋ ਰਬ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹੀ ਇਥੇ ਤੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Pure is the reputation of those who are attached to the Feet of the Beloved Lord.
ਚਰਨ ਸੇਵ ਸੰਤ ਸਾਧ ਕੇ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ॥੩॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਢਹਿ ਜਾਂਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ||3||
5444 ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਏਕੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰੇ ॥੪॥
Ghatt Ghatt Eaek Varathadhaa Jal Thhal Meheeal Poorae ||4||
घटि घटि एकु वरतदा जलि थलि महीअलि पूरे ॥४॥
ਰੱਬ ਜਰੇ-ਜਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਹਰ ਜੀਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ||4||
In each and every heart, the One Lord is pervading. He is totally permeating the water, the land, and the sky. ||4||
5445 ਪਾਪ ਬਿਨਾਸਨੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰੇ ॥੫॥
Paap Binaasan Saeviaa Pavithr Santhan Kee Dhhoorae ||5||
पाप बिनासनु सेविआ पवित्र संतन की धूरे ॥५॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਚਰਨ ਦੀ ਧੂੜੀ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਚਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ||5||
I serve the Destroyer of sin, and I am sanctified by the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||5||
5446 ਸਭ ਛਡਾਈ ਖਸਮਿ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਭਈ ਠਰੂਰੇ ॥੬॥
Sabh Shhaddaaee Khasam Aap Har Jap Bhee Tharoorae ||6||
सभ छडाई खसमि आपि हरि जपि भई ठरूरे ॥६॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਬ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਧੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਠਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ||6||
My Lord and Master Himself has saved me completely; I am comforted by meditating on the Lord. ||6||
5447 ਕਰਤੈ ਕੀਆ ਤਪਾਵਸੋ ਦੁਸਟ ਮੁਏ ਹੋਇ ਮੂਰੇ ॥੭॥
Karathai Keeaa Thapaavaso Dhusatt Mueae Hoe Moorae ||7||
करतै कीआ तपावसो दुसट मुए होइ मूरे ॥७॥
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ ਨਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਵਿਰੋਧੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮੱਣ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ||7||
The Creator has passed judgement, and the evil-doers have been silenced and killed. ||7||

किरति करम के वीछुड़े करि किरपा मेलहु राम ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਆਪਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ, ਕਰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲਵੋ॥
By the actions we have committed, we are separated from You. Please show Your Mercy, and unite us with Yourself, Lord.
5452 ਚਾਰਿ ਕੁੰਟ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਭ੍ਰਮੇ ਥਕਿ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਾਮ ॥
Chaar Kuntt Dheh Dhis Bhramae Thhak Aaeae Prabh Kee Saam ||
चारि कुंट दह दिस भ्रमे थकि आए प्रभ की साम ॥
ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੰਭ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਣ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ॥
We have grown weary of wandering to the four corners of the earth and in the ten directions. We have come to Your Sanctuary, God.
5453 ਧੇਨੁ ਦੁਧੈ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਕਾਮ ॥
Dhhaen Dhudhhai Thae Baaharee Kithai N Aavai Kaam ||
धेनु दुधै ते बाहरी कितै न आवै काम ॥
ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗਾਂ, ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ॥
Without milk, a cow serves no purpose.
5454 ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਖ ਕੁਮਲਾਵਤੀ ਉਪਜਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਦਾਮ ॥
Jal Bin Saakh Kumalaavathee Oupajehi Naahee Dhaam ||
जल बिनु साख कुमलावती उपजहि नाही दाम ॥
ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ਸਲ ਝਾਂੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ॥
Without water, the crop withers, and it will not bring a good price.
5455 ਹਰਿ ਨਾਹ ਨ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਸਾਜਨੈ ਕਤ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਸਰਾਮ ॥
Har Naah N Mileeai Saajanai Kath Paaeeai Bisaraam ||
हरि नाह न मिलीऐ साजनै कत पाईऐ बिसराम ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮਨ ਨਹੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ॥
If we do not meet the Lord, our Friend, how can we find our place of rest?
5456 ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤੁ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਈ ਭਠਿ ਨਗਰ ਸੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
Jith Ghar Har Kanth N Pragattee Bhath Nagar Sae Graam ||
जितु घरि हरि कंतु न प्रगटई भठि नगर से ग्राम ॥
ਜੇ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਰੂਪ, ਤੱਪਦੇ ਘਰ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ॥
Those homes, those hearts, in which the Husband Lord is not manifest-those towns and villages are like burning furnaces.
5457 ਸ੍ਰਬ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਤੰਬੋਲ ਰਸ ਸਣੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਸਭ ਖਾਮ ॥
Srab Seegaar Thanbol Ras San Dhaehee Sabh Khaam ||
स्रब सीगार त्मबोल रस सणु देही सभ खाम ॥
ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ, ਪਾਨ ਬੀੜੇ ਅੰਨਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
All decorations, the chewing of betel to sweeten the breath, and the body itself, are all useless and vain.
5458 ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੰਤ ਵਿਹੂਣੀਆ ਮੀਤ ਸਜਣ ਸਭਿ ਜਾਮ ॥

प्रभ सुआमी कंत विहूणीआ मीत सजण सभि जाम ॥
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਬਗੈਰ, ਸਬ ਦੋਸਤ ਵੀ ਦੁਸਮੱਣ ਬੱਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Without God, our Husband, our Lord and Master, all friends and companions are like the Messenger of Death.
5459 ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਜੈ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Naanak Kee Baenantheeaa Kar Kirapaa Dheejai Naam ||
नानक की बेनंतीआ करि किरपा दीजै नामु ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਜੀ ਤਰਲੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤਰਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਆਪਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਉ॥

5460 ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਧਾਮ ॥੧॥
Har Maelahu Suaamee Sang Prabh Jis Kaa Nihachal Dhhaam ||1||
हरि मेलहु सुआमी संगि प्रभ जिस का निहचल धाम ॥१॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲਵੋ, ਤੇਰਾ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਥਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਅੱਟਲ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ||1||
O my Lord and Master, please unite me with Yourself, O God, in the Eternal Mansion of Your Presence ||1||
5461 ਚੇਤਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਅਰਾਧੀਐ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਘਣਾ ॥
Chaeth Govindh Araadhheeai Hovai Anandh Ghanaa ||
चेति गोविंदु अराधीऐ होवै अनंदु घणा ॥
ਚੇਤ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਦਾ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੀਏ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁ਼ਖ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥
In the month of Chayt, by meditating on the Lord of the Universe, a deep and profound joy arises.
5462 ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਣਾ ॥
Santh Janaa Mil Paaeeai Rasanaa Naam Bhanaa ||
संत जना मिलि पाईऐ रसना नामु भणा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਜੀਭ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਲੱਹ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Meeting with the humble Saints, the Lord is found, as we chant His Name with our tongues.
5463 ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਏ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਗਣਾ ॥
Jin Paaeiaa Prabh Aapanaa Aaeae Thisehi Ganaa ||
जिनि पाइआ प्रभु आपणा आए तिसहि गणा ॥
ਜਿਸ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥
Those who have found God-blessed is their coming into this world.
5464 ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਜਣਾ ॥
Eik Khin This Bin Jeevanaa Birathhaa Janam Janaa ||
ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ, ਇਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਮਾਤਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਜਿਉਣਾਂ ਜਨਮ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ॥
इकु खिनु तिसु बिनु जीवणा बिरथा जनमु जणा ॥
Those who live without Him, for even an instant-their lives are rendered useless.
5465 ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਰਵਿਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਣਾ ॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Pooriaa Raviaa Vich Vanaa ||
जलि थलि महीअलि पूरिआ रविआ विचि वणा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਧਰਤੀ, ਅਕਾਸ਼, ਪਾਣੀ, ਜੰਗਲ ਸਬ ਜਗਾ ਹੈ॥
The Lord is totally pervading the water, the land, and all space. He is contained in the forests as well.
5466 ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਕਿਤੜਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਣਾ ॥
So Prabh Chith N Aavee Kitharraa Dhukh Ganaa ||
सो प्रभु चिति न आवई कितड़ा दुखु गणा ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਰੱਬ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those who do not remember God-how much pain must they suffer!
5467 ਜਿਨੀ ਰਾਵਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤਿੰਨਾ ਭਾਗੁ ਮਣਾ ॥
Jinee Raaviaa So Prabhoo Thinnaa Bhaag Manaa ||
जिनी राविआ सो प्रभू तिंना भागु मणा ॥
ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਪਿਆ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ॥
Those who dwell upon their God have great good fortune.
5468 ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੰਉ ਮਨੁ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਿਆਸ ਮਨਾ ॥
Har Dharasan Kano Man Lochadhaa Naanak Piaas Manaa ||
हरि दरसन कंउ मनु लोचदा नानक पिआस मना ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਅ ਤਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇਖਣੇ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਸ ਹੈ॥
My mind yearns for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. O Nanak, my mind is so thirsty!
5469 ਚੇਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਾ ॥੨॥
Chaeth Milaaeae So Prabhoo This Kai Paae Lagaa ||2||
चेति मिलाए सो प्रभू तिस कै पाइ लगा ॥२॥
ਜੋ ਚੇਤ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾਂ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਨ ਕਰਾਏ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਫੜ ਲਵਾਂ||2||
I touch the feet of one who unites me with God in the month of Chayt. ||2||
5470 ਵੈਸਾਖਿ ਧੀਰਨਿ ਕਿਉ ਵਾਢੀਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ॥
Vaisaakh Dhheeran Kio Vaadteeaa Jinaa Praem Bishhohu ||
वैसाखि धीरनि किउ वाढीआ जिना प्रेम बिछोहु ॥
ਵਿਸਾਖ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲੱਗੇ? ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ॥
In the month of Vaisaakh, how can the bride be patient? She is separated from her Beloved.
5471 ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹੁ ॥

हरि साजनु पुरखु विसारि कै लगी माइआ धोहु ॥
ਪਿਆਰਾ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ, ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬੱਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ॥

पुत्र कलत्र न संगि धना हरि अविनासी ओहु ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਔਰਤ, ਮਾਇਆ ਮਾਲ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਇੱਕ ਰੱਬ ਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਅਮਰ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ॥
Neither son, nor spouse, nor wealth shall go along with you-only the Eternal Lord.
5473 ਪਲਚਿ ਪਲਚਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਮੁਈ ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਮੋਹੁ ॥
Palach Palach Sagalee Muee Jhoothai Dhhandhhai Mohu ||
पलचि पलचि सगली मुई झूठै धंधै मोहु ॥
ਲਾਲਚ ਆ ਕੇ, ਨਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ, ਬੇਕਾਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ॥
Entangled and enmeshed in the love of false occupations, the whole world is perishing.
5474 ਇਕਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਗੈ ਲਈਅਹਿ ਖੋਹਿ ॥
Eikas Har Kae Naam Bin Agai Leeahi Khohi ||
इकसु हरि के नाम बिनु अगै लईअहि खोहि ॥
ਇੱਕ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣਾਂ ਹੈ, ਬਾਕੀ ਸਬ ਕੰਮ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਣੇ ਹਨ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the One Lord, they lose their lives in the hereafter.
5475 ਦਯੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਵਿਗੁਚਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
Dhay Visaar Viguchanaa Prabh Bin Avar N Koe ||
दयु विसारि विगुचणा प्रभ बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਕੇ, ਰੁਲਣਾਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੱਬ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ॥
Forgetting the Merciful Lord, they are ruined. Without God, there is no other at all.
5476 ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਚਰਣੀ ਜੋ ਲਗੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥

प्रीतम चरणी जो लगे तिन की निरमल सोइ ॥
ਜੋ ਰਬ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹੀ ਇਥੇ ਤੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Pure is the reputation of those who are attached to the Feet of the Beloved Lord.
