204 ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਹਿ ਏਤੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਆ ॥

सालाही

सालाहि एती सुरति न पाईआ ॥

ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ, ਪੁੱਛ ਕੇ, ਵੱਣਾਆਈਆਂ, ਉਸਤੱਤ ਕਰਕੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ ਰੱਬ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ।

The praisers praise the Lord, but they do not obtain intuitive understanding

ਨਦੀਆ ਅਤੈ ਵਾਹ ਪਵਹਿ ਸਮੁੰਦਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ॥

Nadheeaa Athai Vaah Pavehi Samundh N Jaaneeahi ||

नदीआ

अतै वाह पवहि समुंदि न जाणीअहि ॥

ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫਿਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੇ। ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

The streams and rivers flowing into the ocean do not know its vastness.

साह सुलतान गिरहा सेती मालु धनु ॥

ਸਮੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਾਹਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਪਹਾੜਾ ਜਿੱਡੇ ਧੰਨ ਮਾਲ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ

Even kings and emperors, with mountains of property and oceans of wealth

ਕੀੜੀ ਤੁਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਨੀ ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਨਹੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰਹਿ ॥੨੩॥

कीड़ी

तुलि न होवनी जे तिसु मनहु न वीसरहि ॥२३॥
ਉਸ ਲਈ ਰਿਣ ਭਰ ਵੀ ਕੀੜੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਕਦੇ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਕਿਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ||23||

-these are not even equal to an ant, who does not forget God. ||23||
