Maaeiaa Bandhhan Ttikai Naahee Khin Khin Dhukh Santhaaeae ||
माइआ बंधन टिकै नाही खिनु खिनु दुखु संताए ॥
ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, ਲਾਲਚ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਸਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Bound by Maya, the mind is not stable. Each and every moment, it suffers in pain.

मनमुख मुगध गावारु पिरा जीउ सबदु मनि न वसाए ॥
ਮਨ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਬੇਸਮਝ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ, ਸੁਣਦੇ, ਬਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The self-willed manmukhs are foolish and crazy, O my dear; they do not enshrine the Shabad within their minds.
10796 ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਏ ॥

माइआ का भ्रमु अंधु पिरा जीउ हरि मारगु किउ पाए ॥
ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, ਲਾਲਚ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ, ਕਿਵੇ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?॥
The delusion of Maya has made them blind, my dear; how can they find the Way of the Lord?
10797 ਕਿਉ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪਾਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਏ ॥

किउ मारगु पाए बिनु सतिगुर भाए मनमुखि आपु गणाए ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੋਂ, ਬੰਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ, ਕਿਵੇ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਮਨ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਖੂਜਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
How can they find the Way, without the Will of the True Sathigur? The manmukhs foolishly display themselves.
10798 ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਾਕਰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥

हरि के चाकर सदा सुहेले गुर चरणी चितु लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਨਦ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਾਂਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਵੱਲ ਮਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਲਿਵ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The Lord's servants are forever comfortable. They focus their consciousness on the Guru's Feet.
10799 ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥

जिस नो हरि जीउ करे किरपा सदा हरि के गुण गाए ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਆਪ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those unto whom the Lord shows His Mercy, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord forever.

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸ਼ਰਨ, ਚਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਣਾਂ ਚਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਿਵ ਕੇ ਚਲਦੇ ਹਨ॥

चलता तुमारे देखि मोही उदास धन किउ धीरए ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ, ਚੋਜ, ਕਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮੋਹਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਧ੍ਰਵਾਸ ਦੇਰੀਏ?॥

पिर दोसु नाही सुखह दाते हउ विछुड़ी बुरिआरे ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਅੰਨਦ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਸੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਵਿਛੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ॥
The fault is not with my Husband Lord, the Giver of peace; I am separated from Him by my own mistakes.

हउ मनु अरपी सभु तनु अरपी अरपी सभि देसा ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦਾ ਮਨ-ਤਨ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆ ॥
I surrender my mind, I surrender my whole body; I surrender all my lands.

हउ सिरु अरपी तिसु मीत पिआरे जो प्रभ देइ सदेसा ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਸੋਹਣੇ-ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇ।

10817 ਅਰਪਿਆ ਤ ਸੀਸੁ ਸੁਥਾਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥

अरपिआ त सीसु सुथानि गुर पहि संगि प्रभू दिखाइआ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ॥
I have offered my head to the Sathigur,the most exalted; He has shown me that God is with me.
10818 ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਮਨਹੁ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Khin Maahi Sagalaa Dhookh Mittiaa Manahu Chindhiaa Paaeiaa ||
खिन माहि सगला दूखु मिटिआ मनहु चिंदिआ पाइआ ॥
ਇੱਕ ਪਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਰਦ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਮੁਰਾਦ-ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ॥
In an instant, all suffering is removed. I have obtained all my mind's desires.
10819 ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਕਰੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ॥
Dhin Rain Raleeaa Karai Kaaman Mittae Sagal Andhaesaa ||
दिनु रैणि रलीआ करै कामणि मिटे सगल अंदेसा ॥
ਭਗਤ, ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸੁਖ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ,ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ, ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Day and night, the soul-bride makes merry; all her anxieties are erased.

माइआ बंधन टिकै नाही खिनु खिनु दुखु संताए ॥
ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, ਲਾਲਚ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਸਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Bound by Maya, the mind is not stable. Each and every moment, it suffers in pain.

Manamukh Mugadhh Gaavaar Piraa Jeeo Sabadh Man N Vasaaeae ||
मनमुख मुगध गावारु पिरा जीउ सबदु मनि न वसाए ॥
ਮਨ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਬੇਸਮਝ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ, ਸੁਣਦੇ, ਬਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The self-willed manmukhs are foolish and crazy, O my dear; they do not enshrine the Shabad within their minds.
10796 ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਏ ॥

माइआ का भ्रमु अंधु पिरा जीउ हरि मारगु किउ पाए ॥
ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, ਲਾਲਚ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ, ਕਿਵੇ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?॥
The delusion of Maya has made them blind, my dear; how can they find the Way of the Lord?
10797 ਕਿਉ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪਾਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਏ ॥

किउ मारगु पाए बिनु सतिगुर भाए मनमुखि आपु गणाए ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੋਂ, ਬੰਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ, ਕਿਵੇ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਮਨ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਖੂਜਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
How can they find the Way, without the Will of the True Sathigur? The manmukhs foolishly display themselves.
10798 ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਾਕਰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥

हरि के चाकर सदा सुहेले गुर चरणी चितु लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਨਦ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਾਂਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਵੱਲ ਮਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਲਿਵ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ॥
The Lord's servants are forever comfortable. They focus their consciousness on the Guru's Feet.
10799 ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥

जिस नो हरि जीउ करे किरपा सदा हरि के गुण गाए ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾਂ ਆਪ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Those unto whom the Lord shows His Mercy, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord forever.

चलता तुमारे देखि मोही उदास धन किउ धीरए ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ, ਚੋਜ, ਕਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮੋਹਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਧ੍ਰਵਾਸ ਦੇਰੀਏ?॥

पिर दोसु नाही सुखह दाते हउ विछुड़ी बुरिआरे ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਅੰਨਦ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਸੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਵਿਛੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ॥
The fault is not with my Husband Lord, the Giver of peace; I am separated from Him by my own mistakes.

हउ मनु अरपी सभु तनु अरपी अरपी सभि देसा ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦਾ ਮਨ-ਤਨ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆ ॥
I surrender my mind, I surrender my whole body; I surrender all my lands.

हउ सिरु अरपी तिसु मीत पिआरे जो प्रभ देइ सदेसा ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਸੋਹਣੇ-ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ। ਜੋ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇ।

10817 ਅਰਪਿਆ ਤ ਸੀਸੁ ਸੁਥਾਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥

अरपिआ त सीसु सुथानि गुर पहि संगि प्रभू दिखाइआ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ॥
I have offered my head to the Sathigur,the most exalted; He has shown me that God is with me.
10818 ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਮਨਹੁ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Khin Maahi Sagalaa Dhookh Mittiaa Manahu Chindhiaa Paaeiaa ||
खिन माहि सगला दूखु मिटिआ मनहु चिंदिआ पाइआ ॥
ਇੱਕ ਪਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਰਦ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਮੁਰਾਦ-ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ॥
In an instant, all suffering is removed. I have obtained all my mind's desires.
10819 ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਕਰੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ॥
Dhin Rain Raleeaa Karai Kaaman Mittae Sagal Andhaesaa ||
दिनु रैणि रलीआ करै कामणि मिटे सगल अंदेसा ॥
ਭਗਤ, ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸੁਖ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ,ਅੰਨਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ, ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Day and night, the soul-bride makes merry; all her anxieties are erased.

बिनवंति नानकु कंतु मिलिआ लोड़ते हम जैसा ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀ ਐਸਾ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੈਸਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ||3||
