इसतरी पुरख कामि विआपे जीउ राम नाम की बिधि नही जाणी ॥
ਔਰਤ ਮਰਦ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸੁਖ ਲਈ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਣਦੇ॥
Men and women are obsessed with sex; they do not know the Way of the Lord's Name.
10759 ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਭਾਈ ਖਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜੀਉ ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ ॥
Maath Pithaa Suth Bhaaee Kharae Piaarae Jeeo Ddoob Mueae Bin Paanee ||
मात पिता सुत भाई खरे पिआरे जीउ डूबि मुए बिनु पाणी ॥
ਮਾਂ-ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਭਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਗੈਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Mother, father, children and siblings are very dear, but they drown, even without water.
10760 ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਧਾਤੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ ॥
Ddoob Mueae Bin Paanee Gath Nehee Jaanee Houmai Dhhaath Sansaarae ||
डूबि मुए बिनु पाणी गति नही जाणी हउमै धातु संसारे ॥
ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਗੈਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣਾਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਮੱਕਸਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹਿਚਾਣਦਾ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ॥
They are drowned to death without water - they do not know the path of salvation, and they wander around the world in egotism.
10761 ਜੋ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਜਾਸੀ ਉਬਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥

जो आइआ सो सभु को जासी उबरे गुर वीचारे ॥
ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਰਨਾਂ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਿਚਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਇਸ ਤੇ ਅੱਗਲੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
All those who come into the world shall depart. Only those who contemplate the Sathigur shall be saved.
10762 ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੇ ॥
Guramukh Hovai Raam Naam Vakhaanai Aap Tharai Kul Thaarae ||गुरमुखि होवै राम नामु वखाणै आपि तरै कुल तारे ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਰੱਬੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪ ਤੇ ਆਪਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਸਬ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਜੱਲ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ

राम नाम बिनु को थिरु नाही जीउ बाजी है संसारा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਬਗੈਰ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਣਾ। ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਡਰਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਸਟੇਜ ਹੈ॥
Without the Lord's Name, nothing is stable. This world is just a drama.
10765 ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ॥

द्रिड़ु भगति सची जीउ राम नामु वापारा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਇੱਕਠਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ॥

राम नामु वापारा अगम अपारा गुरमती धनु पाईऐ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਲੀ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਂਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦੋਲਤ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ॥

सेवा सुरति भगति इह साची विचहु आपु गवाईऐ ॥
ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ, ਧਿਆਨ ਲਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁੱਕਾਉਣਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ॥

10768 ਹਮ ਮਤਿ ਹੀਣ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਅੰਧੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
Ham Math Heen Moorakh Mugadhh Andhhae Sathigur Maarag Paaeae ||
हम मति हीण मूरख मुगध अंधे सतिगुरि मारगि पाए ॥
ਮੈਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਅੱਕਲ ਤੋਂ, ਬੇਸਮਝ ਹਾਂ। ਧੰਨ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
I am senseless, foolish, idiotic and blind, but the True Sathigur has placed me on the Path.
10769 ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੩॥

नानक गुरमुखि सबदि सुहावे अनदिनु हरि गुण गाए ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਨੂੰ, ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੈਸਾ ਹੀ ਬੱਣਾਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ||3||

आपि कराए करे आपि जीउ आपे सबदि सवारे ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਰਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬਦਣਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself acts, and inspires others to act; He Himself embellishes us with the Word of His Shabad.
10771 ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਜੀਉ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

आपे सतिगुरु आपि सबदु जीउ जुगु जुगु भगत पिआरे ॥
ਰੱਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬੱਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਤੋਂ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
He Himself is the True Sathigur, and He Himself is the Shabad; in each and every age, He loves His devotees.

Jug Jug Bhagath Piaarae Har Aap Savaarae Aapae Bhagathee Laaeae ||
जुगु जुगु भगत पिआरे हरि आपि सवारे आपे भगती लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਤੋਂ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਮੱਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
In age after age, He loves His devotees; the Lord Himself adorns them, and He Himself enjoins them to worship Him with devotion.
10773 ਆਪੇ ਦਾਨਾ ਆਪੇ ਬੀਨਾ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਕਰਾਏ ॥

आपे दाना आपे बीना आपे सेव कराए ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪਰਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ, ਬਾਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਆਪਦਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬੱਣਾਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself is All-knowing, and He Himself is All-seeing; He inspires us to serve Him.
10774 ਆਪੇ ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਕਾਟੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Aapae Gunadhaathaa Avagun Kaattae Hiradhai Naam Vasaaeae ||
आपे गुणदाता अवगुण काटे हिरदै नामु वसाए ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ-ਪਾਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ-ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਂਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself is the Giver of merits, and the Destroyer of demerits; He causes His Name to dwell within our hearts.

10778 ਮੰਞਹੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ॥

मंञहु दूरि न जाहि पिरा जीउ घरि बैठिआ हरि पाए ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਂਣ ਦੀ ਭੱਟਕਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇਗੀ॥
Do not leave me, O my dear soul - you shall find the Lord while sitting within the home of your own being.
10779 ਘਰਿ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਦਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਤਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
Ghar Baithiaa Har Paaeae Sadhaa Chith Laaeae Sehajae Sath Subhaaeae ||
घरि बैठिआ हरि पाए सदा चितु लाए सहजे सति सुभाए ॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇਗੀ
You shall obtain the Lord while sitting within the home of your own being, focusing your consciousness constantly upon the Lord, with true intuitive faith.
10780 ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਖਰੀ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥

गुर की सेवा खरी सुखाली जिस नो आपि कराए ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਸਾਨ ਹੈ। ਅੰਨਦ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲੋ ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਕਰਾਉਣੀ ਚਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Serving the Guru brings great peace; they alone do it, whom the Lord inspires to do so.
10781 ਨਾਮੋ ਬੀਜੇ ਨਾਮੋ ਜੰਮੈ ਨਾਮੋ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Naamo Beejae Naamo Janmai Naamo Mann Vasaaeae ||
नामो बीजे नामो जमै नामो मंनि वसाए ॥
ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਫੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਉਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They plant the seed of the Name, and the Name sprouts within; the Name abides within the mind.
10782 ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥

नानक सचि नामि वडिआई पूरबि लिखिआ पाए ॥१॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ, ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Sathigur Nanak, glorious greatness rests in the True Name, It is obtained by perfect pre-ordained destiny. ||1||
10783 ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਜਾ ਚਾਖਹਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
Har Kaa Naam Meethaa Piraa Jeeo Jaa Chaakhehi Chith Laaeae ||
हरि का नामु मीठा पिरा जीउ जा चाखहि चितु लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ, ਗਾਉਣ, ਸੁਣਨ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ। ਫੈਇਦਾ, ਸੁਆਦ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਮਨ ਆਪੇ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ॥
The Name of the Lord is so sweet, O my dear; taste it, and focus your consciousness on it.
10784 ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ਮੁਯੇ ਜੀਉ ਅਨ ਰਸ ਸਾਦ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
Rasanaa Har Ras Chaakh Muyae Jeeo An Ras Saadh Gavaaeae ||
रसना हरि रसु चाखु मुये जीउ अन रस साद गवाए ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤੂੰ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਾਂਣ, ਹੋਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਛੱਡਦੇ॥
Taste the sublime essence of the Lord with your tongue, my dear, and renounce the pleasures of other tastes.
10785 ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਏ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਏ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
Sadhaa Har Ras Paaeae Jaa Har Bhaaeae Rasanaa Sabadh Suhaaeae ||
सदा हरि रसु पाए जा हरि भाए रसना सबदि सुहाए ॥
ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ, ਜੀਭ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਾਂਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
You shall obtain the everlasting essence of the Lord when it pleases the Lord; your tongue shall be adorned with the Word of His Shabad.
10786 ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥
Naam Dhhiaaeae Sadhaa Sukh Paaeae Naam Rehai Liv Laaeae ||
नामु धिआए सदा सुखु पाए नामि रहै लिव लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਨਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, a lasting peace is obtained; so remain lovingly focused on the Naam.
10787 ਨਾਮੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਨਾਮੇ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਨਾਮੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥

नामे उपजै नामे बिनसै नामे सचि समाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤਾਰਿਆ ਹੀ, ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
From the Naam we originate, and into the Naam we shall pass; through the Naam, we are absorbed in the Truth.
10788 ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਲਵਾਏ ॥੨॥

नानक नामु गुरमती पाईऐ आपे लए लवाए ॥२॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਕਲ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ||2||

10789 ਏਹ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਧਨ ਛੋਡਿ ਪਰਦੇਸਿ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥
Eaeh Viddaanee Chaakaree Piraa Jeeo Dhhan Shhodd Paradhaes Sidhhaaeae ||
एह विडाणी चाकरी पिरा जीउ धन छोडि परदेसि सिधाए ॥
ਇਹ ਬੇਗਾਨੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਔਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਮਰਦ, ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਦੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Working for someone else, O my dear, is like forsaking the bride, and going to foreign countries.
10790 :ਦੂਜੈ ਕਿਨੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਏ ॥
Dhoojai Kinai Sukh N Paaeiou Piraa Jeeo Bikhiaa Lobh Lubhaaeae ||
दूजै किनै सुखु न पाइओ पिरा जीउ बिखिआ लोभि लुभाए ॥
ਜੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅੰਨਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਉਵੇ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
In duality, no one has ever found peace, O my dear; you are greedy for corruption and greed.
10791 ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਏ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਓਹੁ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
Bikhiaa Lobh Lubhaaeae Bharam Bhulaaeae Ouhu Kio Kar Sukh Paaeae ||
बिखिआ लोभि लुभाए भरमि भुलाए ओहु किउ करि सुखु पाए ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਹਿਮਾਂ ਡਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਨਦ ਕਿਵੇ ਬੱਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?॥
Greedy for corruption and greed, and deluded by doubt, how can anyone find peace?
10792 ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਖਰੀ ਦੁਖਾਲੀ ਆਪੁ ਵੇਚਿ ਧਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
Chaakaree Viddaanee Kharee Dhukhaalee Aap Vaech Dhharam Gavaaeae ||
चाकरी विडाणी खरी दुखाली आपु वेचि धरमु गवाए ॥
ਐਸੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣਾਂ-ਆਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Working for strangers is very painful; doing so, one sells himself and loses his faith in the Dharma.
10758 ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾਮਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ॥
Eisatharee Purakh Kaam Viaapae Jeeo Raam Naam Kee Bidhh Nehee Jaanee ||
इसतरी पुरख कामि विआपे जीउ राम नाम की बिधि नही जाणी ॥
ਔਰਤ ਮਰਦ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸੁਖ ਲਈ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਣਦੇ॥
Men and women are obsessed with sex; they do not know the Way of the Lord's Name.
10759 ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਭਾਈ ਖਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜੀਉ ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ ॥
Maath Pithaa Suth Bhaaee Kharae Piaarae Jeeo Ddoob Mueae Bin Paanee ||
मात पिता सुत भाई खरे पिआरे जीउ डूबि मुए बिनु पाणी ॥
ਮਾਂ-ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਭਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਗੈਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
Mother, father, children and siblings are very dear, but they drown, even without water.
10760 ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਧਾਤੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ ॥
Ddoob Mueae Bin Paanee Gath Nehee Jaanee Houmai Dhhaath Sansaarae ||
डूबि मुए बिनु पाणी गति नही जाणी हउमै धातु संसारे ॥
ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਗੈਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਡੁੱਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣਾਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਮੱਕਸਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹਿਚਾਣਦਾ। ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ॥
They are drowned to death without water - they do not know the path of salvation, and they wander around the world in egotism.
10761 ਜੋ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਜਾਸੀ ਉਬਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
Jo Aaeiaa So Sabh Ko Jaasee Oubarae Gur Veechaarae ||
जो आइआ सो सभु को जासी उबरे गुर वीचारे ॥
ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਰਨਾਂ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਿਚਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਇਸ ਤੇ ਅੱਗਲੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
All those who come into the world shall depart. Only those who contemplate the Sathigur shall be saved.
10762 ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੇ ॥
Guramukh Hovai Raam Naam Vakhaanai Aap Tharai Kul Thaarae ||गुरमुखि होवै राम नामु वखाणै आपि तरै कुल तारे ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਰੱਬੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪ ਤੇ ਆਪਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਸਬ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਜੱਲ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
Those who become Sathigur's Gurmukh and chant the Lord's Name, save themselves and save their families as well.
10763 ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੨॥
Naanak Naam Vasai Ghatt Anthar Guramath Milae Piaarae ||2||
नानक नामु वसै घट अंतरि गुरमति मिले पिआरे ॥२॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ, ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਭਗਤ, ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||

10764 ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਜੀਉ ਬਾਜੀ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
Raam Naam Bin Ko Thhir Naahee Jeeo Baajee Hai Sansaaraa ||
राम नाम बिनु को थिरु नाही जीउ बाजी है संसारा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਬਗੈਰ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਣਾ। ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਡਰਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਸਟੇਜ ਹੈ॥
Without the Lord's Name, nothing is stable. This world is just a drama.
10765 ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ॥
Dhrirr Bhagath Sachee Jeeo Raam Naam Vaapaaraa ||
द्रिड़ु भगति सची जीउ राम नामु वापारा ॥
ਰੱਬ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਇੱਕਠਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਹਿੱਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ॥
Implant true devotional worship within your heart, and trade in the Name of the Lord.
10766 ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
Raam Naam Vaapaaraa Agam Apaaraa Guramathee Dhhan Paaeeai ||
राम नामु वापारा अगम अपारा गुरमती धनु पाईऐ ॥
ਜਿਸ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਲੀ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਂਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦੋਲਤ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ॥
Trade in the Lord's Name is infinite and unfathomable. Through the Guru's Teachings, this wealth is obtained.
10767 ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਚੀ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈਐ ॥
Saevaa Surath Bhagath Eih Saachee Vichahu Aap Gavaaeeai ||
सेवा सुरति भगति इह साची विचहु आपु गवाईऐ ॥
ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ, ਧਿਆਨ ਲਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁੱਕਾਉਣਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ॥
This selfless service, meditation and devotion is true, if you eliminate selfishness and conceit from within.
10768 ਹਮ ਮਤਿ ਹੀਣ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਅੰਧੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
Ham Math Heen Moorakh Mugadhh Andhhae Sathigur Maarag Paaeae ||
हम मति हीण मूरख मुगध अंधे सतिगुरि मारगि पाए ॥
ਮੈਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਅੱਕਲ ਤੋਂ, ਬੇਸਮਝ ਹਾਂ। ਧੰਨ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ॥
I am senseless, foolish, idiotic and blind, but the True Sathigur has placed me on the Path.
10769 ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੩॥
Naanak Guramukh Sabadh Suhaavae Anadhin Har Gun Gaaeae ||3||
नानक गुरमुखि सबदि सुहावे अनदिनु हरि गुण गाए ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਨੂੰ, ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੈਸਾ ਹੀ ਬੱਣਾਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ||3||
Sathigur Nanak, the Gurmukhs are adorned with the Shabad; night and day, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||
10770 ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ਕਰੇ ਆਪਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
Aap Karaaeae Karae Aap Jeeo Aapae Sabadh Savaarae ||
आपि कराए करे आपि जीउ आपे सबदि सवारे ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਰਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬਦਣਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself acts, and inspires others to act; He Himself embellishes us with the Word of His Shabad.
10771 ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਜੀਉ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

आपे सतिगुरु आपि सबदु जीउ जुगु जुगु भगत पिआरे ॥
ਰੱਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬੱਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰੱਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਤੋਂ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ॥
He Himself is the True Sathigur, and He Himself is the Shabad; in each and every age, He loves His devotees.
10772 ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਏ ॥

जुगु जुगु भगत पिआरे हरि आपि सवारे आपे भगती लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੀ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਤੋਂ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਮੱਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
In age after age, He loves His devotees; the Lord Himself adorns them, and He Himself enjoins them to worship Him with devotion.
10773 ਆਪੇ ਦਾਨਾ ਆਪੇ ਬੀਨਾ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਕਰਾਏ ॥
Aapae Dhaanaa Aapae Beenaa Aapae Saev Karaaeae ||
आपे दाना आपे बीना आपे सेव कराए ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪਰਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ, ਬਾਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਆਪਦਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬੱਣਾਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself is All-knowing, and He Himself is All-seeing; He inspires us to serve Him.
10774 ਆਪੇ ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਕਾਟੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Aapae Gunadhaathaa Avagun Kaattae Hiradhai Naam Vasaaeae ||
आपे गुणदाता अवगुण काटे हिरदै नामु वसाए ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ-ਪਾਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ-ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਂਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
He Himself is the Giver of merits, and the Destroyer of demerits; He causes His Name to dwell within our hearts.
10775 ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਚੇ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥੪॥

10778 ਮੰਞਹੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ॥

मंञहु दूरि न जाहि पिरा जीउ घरि बैठिआ हरि पाए ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਂਣ ਦੀ ਭੱਟਕਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇਗੀ॥
Do not leave me, O my dear soul - you shall find the Lord while sitting within the home of your own being.
10779 ਘਰਿ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਦਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਤਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
Ghar Baithiaa Har Paaeae Sadhaa Chith Laaeae Sehajae Sath Subhaaeae ||
घरि बैठिआ हरि पाए सदा चितु लाए सहजे सति सुभाए ॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇਗੀ
You shall obtain the Lord while sitting within the home of your own being, focusing your consciousness constantly upon the Lord, with true intuitive faith.
10780 ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਖਰੀ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥

गुर की सेवा खरी सुखाली जिस नो आपि कराए ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਸਾਨ ਹੈ। ਅੰਨਦ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲੋ ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਕਰਾਉਣੀ ਚਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Serving the Guru brings great peace; they alone do it, whom the Lord inspires to do so.
10781 ਨਾਮੋ ਬੀਜੇ ਨਾਮੋ ਜੰਮੈ ਨਾਮੋ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Naamo Beejae Naamo Janmai Naamo Mann Vasaaeae ||
नामो बीजे नामो जमै नामो मंनि वसाए ॥
ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਫੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਉਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
They plant the seed of the Name, and the Name sprouts within; the Name abides within the mind.
10782 ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥

नानक सचि नामि वडिआई पूरबि लिखिआ पाए ॥१॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ, ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||1||
Sathigur Nanak, glorious greatness rests in the True Name, It is obtained by perfect pre-ordained destiny. ||1||
10783 ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਜਾ ਚਾਖਹਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥

हरि का नामु मीठा पिरा जीउ जा चाखहि चितु लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ, ਗਾਉਣ, ਸੁਣਨ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ। ਫੈਇਦਾ, ਸੁਆਦ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਮਨ ਆਪੇ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ॥
The Name of the Lord is so sweet, O my dear; taste it, and focus your consciousness on it.
10784 ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ਮੁਯੇ ਜੀਉ ਅਨ ਰਸ ਸਾਦ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
Rasanaa Har Ras Chaakh Muyae Jeeo An Ras Saadh Gavaaeae ||
रसना हरि रसु चाखु मुये जीउ अन रस साद गवाए ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤੂੰ, ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਾਂਣ, ਹੋਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਛੱਡਦੇ॥
Taste the sublime essence of the Lord with your tongue, my dear, and renounce the pleasures of other tastes.
10785 ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਏ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਏ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
Sadhaa Har Ras Paaeae Jaa Har Bhaaeae Rasanaa Sabadh Suhaaeae ||
सदा हरि रसु पाए जा हरि भाए रसना सबदि सुहाए ॥
ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ, ਜੀਭ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਦਾ ਅੰਨਦ ਮਾਂਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ॥
You shall obtain the everlasting essence of the Lord when it pleases the Lord; your tongue shall be adorned with the Word of His Shabad.
10786 ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥
Naam Dhhiaaeae Sadhaa Sukh Paaeae Naam Rehai Liv Laaeae ||
नामु धिआए सदा सुखु पाए नामि रहै लिव लाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਨਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, a lasting peace is obtained; so remain lovingly focused on the Naam.
10787 ਨਾਮੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਨਾਮੇ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਨਾਮੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥

नामे उपजै नामे बिनसै नामे सचि समाए ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤਾਰਿਆ ਹੀ, ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
From the Naam we originate, and into the Naam we shall pass; through the Naam, we are absorbed in the Truth.
10788 ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਲਵਾਏ ॥੨॥

नानक नामु गुरमती पाईऐ आपे लए लवाए ॥२॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਕਲ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ||2||
Sathigur Nanak, the Naam is obtained through the Guru's Teachings; He Himself attaches us to it. ||2||
10789 ਏਹ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਧਨ ਛੋਡਿ ਪਰਦੇਸਿ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥
Eaeh Viddaanee Chaakaree Piraa Jeeo Dhhan Shhodd Paradhaes Sidhhaaeae ||
एह विडाणी चाकरी पिरा जीउ धन छोडि परदेसि सिधाए ॥
ਇਹ ਬੇਗਾਨੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਔਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਮਰਦ, ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਦੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Working for someone else, O my dear, is like forsaking the bride, and going to foreign countries.
10790 :ਦੂਜੈ ਕਿਨੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਏ ॥
Dhoojai Kinai Sukh N Paaeiou Piraa Jeeo Bikhiaa Lobh Lubhaaeae ||
दूजै किनै सुखु न पाइओ पिरा जीउ बिखिआ लोभि लुभाए ॥
ਜੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅੰਨਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਉਵੇ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ॥
In duality, no one has ever found peace, O my dear; you are greedy for corruption and greed.
10791 ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਏ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਓਹੁ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
Bikhiaa Lobh Lubhaaeae Bharam Bhulaaeae Ouhu Kio Kar Sukh Paaeae ||
बिखिआ लोभि लुभाए भरमि भुलाए ओहु किउ करि सुखु पाए ॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਹਿਮਾਂ ਡਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨ ਭੱਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਨਦ ਕਿਵੇ ਬੱਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?॥
Greedy for corruption and greed, and deluded by doubt, how can anyone find peace?
10792 ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਖਰੀ ਦੁਖਾਲੀ ਆਪੁ ਵੇਚਿ ਧਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
Chaakaree Viddaanee Kharee Dhukhaalee Aap Vaech Dhharam Gavaaeae ||
चाकरी विडाणी खरी दुखाली आपु वेचि धरमु गवाए ॥
ਐਸੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣਾਂ-ਆਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ, ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਂਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥
Working for strangers is very painful; doing so, one sells himself and loses his faith in the Dharma.
