I have received the wealth of the Naam and the nine treasures. ||1||Pause|| 16164 ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ Karam Dhharam Sach Saachaa Naao || करम धरम सचु साचा नाउ ॥ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਮ ਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ Those whose karma and Dharma - whose actions and faith - are in the True Name of the True Lord 16165 ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥ Thaa Kai Sadh Balihaarai Jaao || ता कै सद बलिहारै जाउ ॥ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥ I am forever a sacrifice to them. 16166 ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ Jo Har Raathae Sae Jan Paravaan || जो हरि राते से जन परवाणु ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਬੂਲ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ Those who are imbued with the Lord are accepted and respected. 16167 ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੨॥ Thin Kee Sangath Param Nidhhaan ||2|| तिन की संगति परम निधानु ॥२॥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ||2|| In their company, the supreme wealth is obtained. ||2|| 16168 ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਨਾਰੀ ॥ Har Var Jin Paaeiaa Dhhan Naaree || हरि वरु जिनि पाइआ धन नारी ॥ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤਰੀ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ Blessed is that bride, who has obtained the Lord as her Husband. 16169 ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ Har Sio Raathee Sabadh Veechaaree || हरि सिउ राती सबदु वीचारी ॥ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਚਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ She is imbued with the Lord, and she reflects upon the Word of His Shabad. 16170 ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੈ ॥ Aap Tharai Sangath Kul Thaarai || आपि तरै संगति कुल तारै ॥ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ She saves herself, and saves her family and friends as well. 16171 ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਤਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੩॥ Sathigur Saev Thath Veechaarai ||3|| सतिगुरु सेवि ततु वीचारै ॥३॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ, ਅਸਲ ਲਾਭ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ||3|| She serves the True Guru, and contemplates the essence of reality. ||3|| 16172 ਹਮਰੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ॥ Hamaree Jaath Path Sach Naao || हमरी जाति पति सचु नाउ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਾਤ ਤੇ ਕੁਲ ਹੈ ॥ The True Name is my social status and honor. 16173 ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਸਤ ਭਾਉ ॥ Karam Dhharam Sanjam Sath Bhaao || करम धरम संजमु सत भाउ ॥ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਕਰਮ, ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੋਵੇ ॥ The love of the Truth is my karma and Dharma - my faith and my actions, and my self-control. 16174 ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸੇ ਪੂਛ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ Naanak Bakhasae Pooshh N Hoe || नानक बखसे पूछ न होइ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਿਬੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥ Nanak, one who is forgiven by the Lord is not called to account. 16175 ਦੂਜਾ ਮੇਟੇ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥ Dhoojaa Maettae Eaeko Soe ||4||14|| दूजा मेटे एको सोइ ॥४॥१४॥ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ ||4||14|| The One Lord erases duality. ||4||14|| 16177 ਇਕਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਇਕਿ ਜਾਵਹਿ ਆਈ ॥ Eik Aavehi Eik Jaavehi Aaee || इकि आवहि इकि जावहि आई ॥ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਇਥੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ Some come, and after they come, they go. 16178 ਇਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥ Eik Har Raathae Rehehi Samaaee || इकि हरि राते रहहि समाई ॥ ਇਕ ਐਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । Some are imbued with the Lord; they remain absorbed in Him. 16179 ਇਕਿ ਧਰਨਿ ਗਗਨ ਮਹਿ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥ Eik Dhharan Gagan Mehi Thour N Paavehi || इकि धरनि गगन महि ठउर न पावहि ॥ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੀ ॥ Some find no place of rest at all, on the earth or in the sky. 16180 ਸੇ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ॥੧॥ Sae Karameheen Har Naam N Dhhiaavehi ||1|| से करमहीण हरि नामु न धिआवहि ॥१॥ ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ। ਉਹ ਅਭਾਗੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ||1|| Those who do not meditate on the Name of the Lord are the most unfortunate. ||1|| 16181 ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥ Gur Poorae Thae Gath Mith Paaee || गुर पूरे ते गति मिति पाई ॥ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਉੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਚਾਲ ਤੇ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਕਤੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ From the Perfect Guru, the way to salvation is obtained. 16182 ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਬਿਖੁ ਵਤ ਅਤਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Eihu Sansaar Bikh Vath Ath Bhoujal Gur Sabadhee Har Paar Langhaaee ||1|| Rehaao || इहु संसारु बिखु वत अति भउजलु गुर सबदी हरि पारि लंघाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ, ਵਿਹੁ-ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਉੱਚਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ, ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ This world is a terrifying ocean of poison; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Lord helps us cross over. ||1||Pause|| 16183 ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਲਿ ॥ Jinh Ko Aap Leae Prabh Mael || जिन्ह कउ आपि लए प्रभु मेलि ॥ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ Those, whom God unites with Himself, 16184 ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਪੇਲਿ ॥ Thin Ko Kaal N Saakai Pael || तिन कउ कालु न साकै पेलि ॥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਢਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥ Cannot be crushed by death. 16185 ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰਹਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ Guramukh Niramal Rehehi Piaarae || गुरमुखि निरमल रहहि पिआरे ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਮੋਹ ਤੋ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ The beloved Gurmukhs remain immaculately pure, 16186 ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਅੰਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਰਾਰੇ ॥੨॥ Jio Jal Anbh Oopar Kamal Niraarae ||2|| जिउ जल अ्मभ ऊपरि कमल निरारे ॥२॥ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ||2|| Like the lotus in the water, which remains untouched. ||2|| 16187 ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਹੀਐ ॥ Buraa Bhalaa Kahu Kis No Keheeai || बुरा भला कहु किस नो कहीऐ ॥ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾੜਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ Tell me: who should we call good or bad? 16188 ਦੀਸੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੁ ਲਹੀਐ ॥ Dheesai Breham Guramukh Sach Leheeai || दीसै ब्रहमु गुरमुखि सचु लहीऐ ॥ ਹਰੇਕ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਜੀਵ, ਬੰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਬ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ Behold the Lord God; the truth is revealed to the Gurmukh. 16189 ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥਉ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ Akathh Kathho Guramath Veechaar || अकथु कथउ गुरमति वीचारु ॥ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰੱਬੀ ਉਸ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ I speak the Unspoken Speech of the Lord, contemplating the Guru's Teachings. 16190 ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਉ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥ Mil Gur Sangath Paavo Paar ||3|| मिलि गुर संगति पावउ पारु ॥३॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ||3|| Join the Sangat, the Guru's Congregation, and find God's limits. ||3|| 16191 ਸਾਸਤ ਬੇਦ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਭੇਦ ॥ Saasath Baedh Sinmrith Bahu Bhaedh || सासत बेद सिम्रिति बहु भेद ॥ ਬੇਦਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹਨ ॥ The Shaastras, the Vedas, the Simritees and all their many secrets; 16192 ਅਠਸਠਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰੇਦ ॥ Athasath Majan Har Ras Raedh || अठसठि मजनु हरि रसु रेद ॥ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ Bathing at the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage - all this is found by enshrining the sublime essence of the Lord in the heart. 16193 ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ Guramukh Niramal Mail N Laagai || गुरमुखि निरमलु मैलु न लागै ॥ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲਿਆਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੀ ॥ The Gurmukhs are immaculately pure; no filth sticks to them. 16194 ਨਾਨਕ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਭਾਗੈ ॥੪॥੧੫॥ Naanak Hiradhai Naam Vaddae Dhhur Bhaagai ||4||15|| नानक हिरदै नामु वडे धुरि भागै ॥४॥१५॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||15|| Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides in the heart, by the greatest pre-ordained destiny. ||4||15|| 16195 ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ Aasaa Mehalaa 1 || आसा महला १ ॥ ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਮਹਲਾ 1 || Aasaa, First Mehl 1 || 16196 ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਆ ॥ Niv Niv Paae Lago Gur Apunae Aatham Raam Nihaariaa || निवि निवि पाइ लगउ गुर अपुने आतम रामु निहारिआ ॥ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥ Bowing down, again and again, I fall at the Feet of my Guru; through Him, I have seen the Lord, the Divine Self, within. 16197 ਕਰਤ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਦੇਖਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ Karath Beechaar Hiradhai Har Raviaa Hiradhai Dhaekh Beechaariaa ||1|| करत बीचारु हिरदै हरि रविआ हिरदै देखि बीचारिआ ॥१॥ ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸਿਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ||1|| Through contemplation and meditation, the Lord dwells within the heart; see this, and understand. ||1|| 16198 ਬੋਲਹੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥ Bolahu Raam Karae Nisathaaraa || बोलहु रामु करे निसतारा ॥ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੱਪੋ, ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ So speak the Lord's Name, which shall emancipate you. 16199 ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਭੈ ਮਿਟੈ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਉਜੀਆਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Gur Parasaadh Rathan Har Laabhai Mittai Agiaan Hoe Oujeeaaraa ||1|| Rehaao || गुर परसादि रतनु हरि लाभै मिटै अगिआनु होइ उजीआरा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ, ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਣ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ By Satguru's Grace, the jewel of the Lord is found; ignorance is dispelled, and the Divine Light shines forth. ||1||Pause|| 16200 ਰਵਨੀ ਰਵੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਨਹੀ ਤੂਟਹਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ Ravanee Ravai Bandhhan Nehee Thoottehi Vich Houmai Bharam N Jaaee || रवनी रवै बंधन नही तूटहि विचि हउमै भरमु न जाई ॥ ਨਿਰੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ By merely saying it with the tongue, one's bonds are not broken, and egotism and doubt do not depart from within. 16201 ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੂਟੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲੇਖੈ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥ Sathigur Milai Th Houmai Thoottai Thaa Ko Laekhai Paaee ||2|| सतिगुरु मिलै त हउमै तूटै ता को लेखै पाई ॥२॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੰਕਾਂਮੈ ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||2|| But when one meets the True Guru, egotism departs, and then, one realizes his destiny. ||2|| 16202 ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ Har Har Naam Bhagath Pria Preetham Sukh Saagar Our Dhhaarae || हरि हरि नामु भगति प्रिअ प्रीतमु सुख सागरु उर धारे ॥ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet and dear to His devotees; it is the ocean of peace - enshrine it within the heart. 16203 ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੩॥ Bhagath Vashhal Jagajeevan Dhaathaa Math Guramath Har Nisathaarae ||3|| भगति वछलु जगजीवनु दाता मति गुरमति हरि निसतारे ॥३॥ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||3|| The Lover of His devotees, the Life of the World, the Lord bestows the Guru's Teachings upon the intellect, and one is emancipated. ||3|| 16204 ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਜੂਝਿ ਮਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਏ ਮਨਸਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ Man Sio Joojh Marai Prabh Paaeae Manasaa Manehi Samaaeae || मन सिउ जूझि मरै प्रभु पाए मनसा मनहि समाए ॥ ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ One who dies fighting against his own stubborn mind finds God, and the desires of the mind are quieted. 16205 ਨਾਨਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਸਹਜ ਭਾਇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥੪॥੧੬॥ Naanak Kirapaa Karae Jagajeevan Sehaj Bhaae Liv Laaeae ||4||16|| नानक क्रिपा करे जगजीवनु सहज भाइ लिव लाए ॥४॥१६॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||16|| Nanak, if the Life of the World bestows His Mercy, one is intuitively attuned to the Love of the Lord. ||4||16|| 16206 ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ Aasaa Mehalaa 1 || आसा महला १ ॥ ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਮਹਲਾ 1 || Aasaa, First Mehl 1 || 16207 ਕਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੁਣਾਵਹਿ ਕਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਿਸੁ ਸਮਝਾਵਹਿ ਸਮਝਿ ਰਹੇ ॥ Kis Ko Kehehi Sunaavehi Kis Ko Kis Samajhaavehi Samajh Rehae || किस कउ कहहि सुणावहि किस कउ किसु समझावहि समझि रहे ॥ ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ-ਆਪ ਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਾ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਨਾਂ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ Unto whom do they speak? Unto whom do they preach? Who understands? Let them understand themselves. 16208 ਕਿਸੈ ਪੜਾਵਹਿ ਪੜਿ ਗੁਣਿ ਬੂਝੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਰਹੇ ॥੧॥ Kisai Parraavehi Parr Gun Boojhae Sathigur Sabadh Santhokh Rehae ||1|| किसै पड़ावहि पड़ि गुणि बूझे सतिगुर सबदि संतोखि रहे ॥१॥ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਦਿਖਾਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ||1|| Who do they teach? Through study, they come to realize the Lord's Glorious Virtues. Through the Shabad, the Word of the True Guru, they come to dwell in contentment. ||1||

गुर परसादी हरि रसु पाइआ नामु पदारथु नउ निधि पाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਚੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਉੱਤਮ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥

ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਮ ਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
Those whose karma and Dharma - whose actions and faith - are in the True Name of the True Lord
16165    ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
Thaa Kai Sadh Balihaarai Jaao ||
ता कै सद बलिहारै जाउ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥
I am forever a sacrifice to them.
16166     ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Jo Har Raathae Sae Jan Paravaan ||
जो हरि राते से जन परवाणु ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਬੂਲ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
Those who are imbued with the Lord are accepted and respected.
16167   ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੨॥
Thin Kee Sangath Param Nidhhaan ||2||
तिन की संगति परम निधानु ॥२॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||
In their company, the supreme wealth is obtained. ||2||
16168    ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
Har Var Jin Paaeiaa Dhhan Naaree ||
हरि वरु जिनि पाइआ धन नारी ॥
ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤਰੀ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥
Blessed is that bride, who has obtained the Lord as her Husband.
16169    ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
Har Sio Raathee Sabadh Veechaaree ||
हरि सिउ राती सबदु वीचारी ॥
ਜੋ ਆਤਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਚਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥
She is imbued with the Lord, and she reflects upon the Word of His Shabad.
16170 ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੈ ॥
Aap Tharai Sangath Kul Thaarai ||
आपि तरै संगति कुल तारै ॥
ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥
She saves herself, and saves her family and friends as well.
16171    ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਤਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੩॥
Sathigur Saev Thath Veechaarai ||3||
सतिगुरु सेवि ततु वीचारै ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ, ਅਸਲ ਲਾਭ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ||3||  
She serves the True Guru, and contemplates the essence of reality. ||3||
16172    ਹਮਰੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
Hamaree Jaath Path Sach Naao ||
हमरी जाति पति सचु नाउ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਾਤ ਤੇ ਕੁਲ ਹੈ ॥
The True Name is my social status and honor.
16173    ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਸਤ ਭਾਉ ॥
Karam Dhharam Sanjam Sath Bhaao ||
करम धरम संजमु सत भाउ ॥
ਤੇਰਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਕਰਮ, ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੋਵੇ ॥
The love of the Truth is my karma and Dharma - my faith and my actions, and my self-control.
16174     ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸੇ ਪੂਛ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
Naanak Bakhasae Pooshh N Hoe ||
नानक बखसे पूछ न होइ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਿਬੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥
Nanak, one who is forgiven by the Lord is not called to account.
16175    ਦੂਜਾ ਮੇਟੇ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥
Dhoojaa Maettae Eaeko Soe ||4||14||
दूजा मेटे एको सोइ ॥४॥१४॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ ||4||14||
The One Lord erases duality. ||4||14||

16177     ਇਕਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਇਕਿ ਜਾਵਹਿ ਆਈ ॥
Eik Aavehi Eik Jaavehi Aaee ||
इकि आवहि इकि जावहि आई ॥
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਇਥੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
Some come, and after they come, they go.
16178      ਇਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
Eik Har Raathae Rehehi Samaaee ||
इकि हरि राते रहहि समाई ॥
ਇਕ ਐਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । 
Some are imbued with the Lord; they remain absorbed in Him.
16179      ਇਕਿ ਧਰਨਿ ਗਗਨ ਮਹਿ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥
Eik Dhharan Gagan Mehi Thour N Paavehi ||
इकि धरनि गगन महि ठउर न पावहि ॥
ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦੀ ॥
Some find no place of rest at all, on the earth or in the sky.
16180    ਸੇ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ॥੧॥
Sae Karameheen Har Naam N Dhhiaavehi ||1||
से करमहीण हरि नामु न धिआवहि ॥१॥
ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ। ਉਹ ਅਭਾਗੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ ||1||
Those who do not meditate on the Name of the Lord are the most unfortunate. ||1||
16181      ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
Gur Poorae Thae Gath Mith Paaee ||
गुर पूरे ते गति मिति पाई ॥
ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਉੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਚਾਲ ਤੇ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਕਤੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥
From the Perfect Guru, the way to salvation is obtained.
16182     ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਬਿਖੁ ਵਤ ਅਤਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

इहु संसारु बिखु वत अति भउजलु गुर सबदी हरि पारि लंघाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ, ਵਿਹੁ-ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਉੱਚਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ, ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
This world is a terrifying ocean of poison; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Lord helps us cross over. ||1||Pause||
16183      ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਲਿ ॥

जिन्ह कउ आपि लए प्रभु मेलि ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
Those, whom God unites with Himself,
16184     ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਪੇਲਿ ॥
Thin Ko Kaal N Saakai Pael ||
तिन कउ कालु न साकै पेलि ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਢਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥
Cannot be crushed by death.
16185  ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰਹਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
Guramukh Niramal Rehehi Piaarae ||
गुरमुखि निरमल रहहि पिआरे ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਮੋਹ ਤੋ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥ 
The beloved Gurmukhs remain immaculately pure,
16186       ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਅੰਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਰਾਰੇ ॥੨॥

जिउ जल अ्मभ ऊपरि कमल निरारे ॥२॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ||2||
Like the lotus in the water, which remains untouched. ||2||
16187      ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਹੀਐ ॥
Buraa Bhalaa Kahu Kis No Keheeai ||
बुरा भला कहु किस नो कहीऐ ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾੜਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
Tell me: who should we call good or bad?
16188     ਦੀਸੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੁ ਲਹੀਐ ॥
Dheesai Breham Guramukh Sach Leheeai ||
दीसै ब्रहमु गुरमुखि सचु लहीऐ ॥
ਹਰੇਕ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਜੀਵ, ਬੰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਬ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
Behold the Lord God; the truth is revealed to the Gurmukh.
16189     ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥਉ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
Akathh Kathho Guramath Veechaar ||
अकथु कथउ गुरमति वीचारु ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰੱਬੀ ਉਸ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥
I speak the Unspoken Speech of the Lord, contemplating the Guru's Teachings.
16190    ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਉ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥

मिलि गुर संगति पावउ पारु ॥३॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ||3||
 Join the Sangat, the Guru's Congregation, and  find God's limits. ||3||
16191      ਸਾਸਤ ਬੇਦ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਭੇਦ ॥
Saasath Baedh Sinmrith Bahu Bhaedh ||
सासत बेद सिम्रिति बहु भेद ॥
ਬੇਦਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹਨ ॥
The Shaastras, the Vedas, the Simritees and all their many secrets;
16192     ਅਠਸਠਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰੇਦ ॥
Athasath Majan Har Ras Raedh ||
अठसठि मजनु हरि रसु रेद ॥
ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ  ॥ 
Bathing at the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage - all this is found by enshrining the sublime essence of the Lord in the heart.
16193    ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
Guramukh Niramal Mail N Laagai ||
गुरमुखि निरमलु मैलु न लागै ॥
ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲਿਆਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੀ ॥
The Gurmukhs are immaculately pure; no filth sticks to them.
16194      ਨਾਨਕ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਭਾਗੈ ॥੪॥੧੫॥
Naanak Hiradhai Naam Vaddae Dhhur Bhaagai ||4||15||
नानक हिरदै नामु वडे धुरि भागै ॥४॥१५॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ, ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||15||
 Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides in the heart, by the greatest pre-ordained destiny. ||4||15||

16196    ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਆ ॥
Niv Niv Paae Lago Gur Apunae Aatham Raam Nihaariaa ||
निवि निवि पाइ लगउ गुर अपुने आतम रामु निहारिआ ॥
ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥
Bowing down, again and again, I fall at the Feet of my Guru; through Him, I have seen the Lord, the Divine Self, within.
16197       ਕਰਤ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਦੇਖਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
Karath Beechaar Hiradhai Har Raviaa Hiradhai Dhaekh Beechaariaa ||1||
करत बीचारु हिरदै हरि रविआ हिरदै देखि बीचारिआ ॥१॥
ਰੱਬੀ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸਿਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ||1||
Through contemplation and meditation, the Lord dwells within the heart; see this, and understand. ||1||
16198       ਬੋਲਹੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥
Bolahu Raam Karae Nisathaaraa ||
बोलहु रामु करे निसतारा ॥
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੱਪੋ, ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
So speak the Lord's Name, which shall emancipate you.
16199      ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਭੈ ਮਿਟੈ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਉਜੀਆਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Parasaadh Rathan Har Laabhai Mittai Agiaan Hoe Oujeeaaraa ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुर परसादि रतनु हरि लाभै मिटै अगिआनु होइ उजीआरा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ, ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੱਬੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਣ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
By Satguru's Grace, the jewel of the Lord is found; ignorance is dispelled, and the Divine Light shines forth. ||1||Pause||
16200       ਰਵਨੀ ਰਵੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਨਹੀ ਤੂਟਹਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Ravanee Ravai Bandhhan Nehee Thoottehi Vich Houmai Bharam N Jaaee ||
रवनी रवै बंधन नही तूटहि विचि हउमै भरमु न जाई ॥
ਨਿਰੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ 
By merely saying it with the tongue, one's bonds are not broken, and egotism and doubt do not depart from within.
16201     ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੂਟੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲੇਖੈ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥
Sathigur Milai Th Houmai Thoottai Thaa Ko Laekhai Paaee ||2||
सतिगुरु मिलै त हउमै तूटै ता को लेखै पाई ॥२॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੰਕਾਂਮੈ ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ||2||
But when one meets the True Guru, egotism departs, and then, one realizes his destiny. ||2||
16202       ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Har Har Naam Bhagath Pria Preetham Sukh Saagar Our Dhhaarae ||
हरि हरि नामु भगति प्रिअ प्रीतमु सुख सागरु उर धारे ॥
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet and dear to His devotees; it is the ocean of peace - enshrine it within the heart.
16203      ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Bhagath Vashhal Jagajeevan Dhaathaa Math Guramath Har Nisathaarae ||3||
भगति वछलु जगजीवनु दाता मति गुरमति हरि निसतारे ॥३॥
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||3||
The Lover of His devotees, the Life of the World, the Lord bestows the Guru's Teachings upon the intellect, and one is emancipated. ||3||
16204    ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਜੂਝਿ ਮਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਏ ਮਨਸਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
Man Sio Joojh Marai Prabh Paaeae Manasaa Manehi Samaaeae ||
मन सिउ जूझि मरै प्रभु पाए मनसा मनहि समाए ॥
ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥
One who dies fighting against his own stubborn mind finds God, and the desires of the mind are quieted.
16205 ਨਾਨਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਸਹਜ ਭਾਇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥੪॥੧੬॥
Naanak Kirapaa Karae Jagajeevan Sehaj Bhaae Liv Laaeae ||4||16||
नानक क्रिपा करे जगजीवनु सहज भाइ लिव लाए ॥४॥१६॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ||4||16||
Nanak, if the Life of the World bestows His Mercy, one is intuitively attuned to the Love of the Lord. ||4||16||

16207      ਕਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੁਣਾਵਹਿ ਕਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਿਸੁ ਸਮਝਾਵਹਿ ਸਮਝਿ ਰਹੇ ॥
Kis Ko Kehehi Sunaavehi Kis Ko Kis Samajhaavehi Samajh Rehae ||
किस कउ कहहि सुणावहि किस कउ किसु समझावहि समझि रहे ॥
ਜੋ ਬੰਦੇ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ-ਆਪ ਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਾ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਨਾਂ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
Unto whom do they speak? Unto whom do they preach? Who understands? Let them understand themselves.
16208    ਕਿਸੈ ਪੜਾਵਹਿ ਪੜਿ ਗੁਣਿ ਬੂਝੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਰਹੇ ॥੧॥
Kisai Parraavehi Parr Gun Boojhae Sathigur Sabadh Santhokh Rehae ||1||
किसै पड़ावहि पड़ि गुणि बूझे सतिगुर सबदि संतोखि रहे ॥१॥
ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਦਿਖਾਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ  ||1||
Who do they teach? Through study, they come to realize the Lord's Glorious Virtues. Through the Shabad, the Word of the True Guru, they come to dwell in contentment. ||1||
